Advanced Robotic Technology

I was gifted an older ART CNC router a few years ago. It was manufactured in 2001 and now well over 20 years old. The guys at ART, Peter Schaenzel, David White (owner of ART and designer of my machine) and other members of their team have been very generous with their time, expertise and help in getting this machine up and running and repairing any age related issues that have occurred. Most of the issues relate to age such as 20 year old air lines getting soft and cracking, another issue just required checking a couple of voltages and dialing up the voltage a fraction of a volt. I have found their instructions easy to follow, and currently in the process of replacing air lines and cables as such items do deteriorate normally after years of use. I cannot fault them, I do not think you could find better backup support and advice anywhere else. Over 20 years old, but servo motor based, z axis is ball screw driven, the y and x axis use rack and pinion, dual motors on the x axis. This thing rapids at 18m a minute and I have been doing 3d carves around 6000mm/min. If I was wealthier, I would not hesitate to go for one of their new or newer machines.

Have just brought my second Plasma cutting machine from Advanced Robotic Technology. The sales and support staff are second to none. I wouldn't consider any other manufacturer in Australia.
I also purchase all my consumables from ART, their stock levels and delivery times are fantastic.

Was referred to ART by a family member after one of our critical pieces of machinery broke down during our busiest period. We popped the processing unit into an uber, they dropped everything, and had it back to us within the day. Amazing dedicated service.

Had an issue with a CNC router that was made by Advanced Robotics. Lodged a service ticket, 20 minutes later received a call from Peter who remoted in an diagnosed the issue immediately. 30 Mins later a replacement sensor was shipped with instructions for fitting. Machine back up incredibly quickly.

Really well made machine and excellent followup service.

We have recently purchased a XR Router from the team at ART. Extremely happy with the machine and service we have received.

Avoid like the plague.

Broken tech that barely works half the time.

Scam upgrades sold as solutions for problems with their own tech they were fully aware of only to find said upgrades break apart and start malfunctioning a week after installation and of course.

Utterly bpd awful customer service and technicians, can’t say as I’ve ever seen contracted techs quite literally run away from a job, twice after breaking two machines in the process of aligning the rails on one.

We bought a $380000 IPG laser cutting machine from ART 18 months ago which has now broken down 3 times. The machine down time has cost us over $40000 and it has broken down again today, which may cost us thousands of dollars again. Every time we ring up to claim on warranty we are greeted with a disgruntled attitude and the "technicians" that are sent out to perform repairs know nothing about fixing the machine. The "senior" technician always tries to perform repairs via skype chats, and it is almost impossible to get hold of him and even harder to get him to come in to look at the broken down machine. Its as if ART are a distributor, with little actual knowledge of what they are selling. We are a small family operated business that employs and supports hard working local staff, but can not keep our doors open if this machine keeps breaking down.
