Don’t judge a book by its cover. The food and service here are top notch. The old Rocklea pub has really lifted its game and for the price and location it’s hard to find a steak this good!!

Went for dinner last night. The steak special is really good value, our meals were so good! It was a bit loud where we were sitting towards the bar, however I think that was just the other diners being boisterous. Service was good and you could tell the staff were happy to be there, which is always nice. We will be back! Thanks! :)

Experienced this hotel for first time tonight with the family as we're from Sydney and it was AWESOME. Food, Service, Atmosphere all AMAZING. We had salmon, burgers, steak and kids pizza and spaghetti bolognaise and tried all the desserts and could not fault anything.... So DELICIOUS and definitely worth the prices! If you're looking for chilled place with amazing food, service and atmosphere this is the place to be! Thank you team for an unforgettable experience! Keep up the great work!

Nice steaks, cold beer, good menu. Special mention for the sauces too, really flavourful. What makes this place special though is the service. So friendly, attentive but not overbearing. Thanks!

We had a 3 course dinner with drinks so well worth the money.
Everything was fantastic cold drinks, hot fresh tasty food, friendly staff, nice decor & great atmosphere.
We will be back again for sure.

Visited the new refurbished Rocklea Hotel last night. I thoroughly enjoyed a pumpkin and haloumi salad and my husbands steak and mushroom sauce was tender and tasty. Fabulous friendly service and great food and ambience. For anyone who loves steak there is a $17, 250g rump special on Wednesday nights, and on Monday to Friday $15 lunch specials. Great spot!

Thanks to Lily, the sous chef and head chef for taking the time to talk through my son’s multiple allergies and double-check that he could safely eat out with friends here.

We drive to the Rocklea Hotel from the other side of Brisbane. Ordered two eye fillets and the were the best steaks that I have had. Probably eaten there 15 times in the last 12 months and never had a bad meal or bad service. The size and quality is best by fare. It’s nice to get good old fashion service.

This parma is unreal.
Very good pub food. Good value for money. Calm , well operated business.

Great local pub for us - we are regulars - generally Thursday nights - the chef's are smashing out great steaks! Wednesdays are the go if you can book a table - Rump steak special 🥩!

Our group of close friends rarely get to catch up these days as we're all around 50.
I suggested the RH for our catch up as I heard from another mate it was excellent. They were right.
We all enjoyed a wonderful meal.
The service was friendly and inviting, the atmosphere typical of a good old fashioned pub, and the price was better than reasonable.
Would highly recommend. Definitely coming back here.

Friendly old school pub still retaining its charm. The food is awesome and reasonably priced yet rarely packed out except Wednesday, discounted steaks day. Love the place!

Suprisingly great quality food, the service is great.
We had a large family group for lunch and everyone was pleased with the venue. The owners did a great job in improving the venue. Definetly would recommend for anyone to give it a try.

We decided to go to the Rocklea Hotel for a meal out of the blue. To our surprise, the service was great & the food were amazingly yummy. We ordered a 500gm Rib Eye on the bone & a Mediterranean Parmigiana. Steak was flavoursome & so tender, it melt in the mouth. The Parmi was one of the best we had in a very long time. Definitely will be coming back here again🥰

The 500g rump steak was cooked to my required medium to rare perfection. It was served with crunchy chips and garden salad. I had diane sauce with my steak. I didn't even need salt and pepper.

The buffalo wings were also very tasty.

Best steak I have had in a long time. I ordered medium rare and was perfect, the creamy garlic sauce was also amazing. Came out bloody quick also considering how packed the place was. As I'm staying across the road I'm heading back again for the same tonight. Highly recommend if your a steak lover.

Great pub, food was outstanding 👌 restaurant quality meals for pub grub 😄 clean and spacious and staff were friendly and inviting 😀 will be going back again and again.
