Bend Orthopaedics: Dr Cameron Cooke

Firstly, Thankyou Dr Cooke. My knee replacement recovery went smoothly and my right knee is pain free and works well ( op in September '23). If you ( like me), have no idea who to go to for a knee replacement, my recommendation is Dr Cameron Cooke. He is a talented surgeon. He may be man of few words but he is gifted. Sadly, for Gold Coaster, we need to travel to Brisbane, however, absolutely worth it .

Dr Cooke is a wonderful surgeon and I felt that I was in good hands from the first appointment. Entering the operating room Dr Cooke explain the procedure again and I felt sure everything would go well. It is the best health decision I have made and I would highly recommend Dr Cooke and this practice.

AHR successfully completed last week. Cannot thank Dr Cook and ALL his team enough for their care, attention, expertise and follow up. Could not believe I was walking pain free only 2 days later. Still undergoing careful physio and a full recovery is imminent. Highly recommended - and thank you to Bend Orthopaedics.

The process used by Bend Orthopedics was streamlined and very effective.
The after surgery recovery was well managed with a physio specialist visiting once a week for 6 weeks rehab.

I had an Anterior Hip Replacement in May 2021 by Dr Cameron Cooke and the patient care prior, during and after surgery is second to none! I am just so very grateful to Dr Cooke and his team as I no longer am in pain and can enjoy all the activities I love. In fact I was back walking several kilometres daily 9 weeks after my surgery.

I underwent a THR in August 2022. Dr Cooke impressed as being a most capable and efficient orthopedic surgeon. His aftercare attention is proving to be equally as efficient and comforting. John.

I found my recent hip replacement to be a very thorough and professional. Each element of the process, from my initial consultation with Dr Cooke, heart and lung checks and follow up consultation with Dr Ricard to the surgery and after care by the 360 physio team to be first rate. I am now back enjoying life; boating, camping and doing the every day things like mowing my yard pain free.

I feel so lucky to have had Cameron work on my leg . It was very badly broken and he somehow managed to repair it . Cam and his whole team were very helpful and good to deal with . Twenty days ago I had a total knee replacement surgery done and I am amazed at my recovery rate. I must say that every step of the way from consultations prior to the operation to this point in time, has been beyond my expectations. All staff associated with my procedure were outstanding, and the nursing staff that cared for me from recovery to discharge were absolutely wonderful people. I also had a Physiotherapist prior to surgery through to full recovery. I may need to have my other knee done next year and I will definitely be using Doctor Cameron Cooke and his wonderful crew again.

Dr Cooke gave me confidence from the outset that I was in very capable hands. My knee replacement surgery went like clockwork and I was walking the next morning without any pain. My recovery has been excellent and 2 years later I am walking without any pain and have to remind myself that I have a prosthetic knee. This result was only possible through the surgical skill of Dr Cooke.

My husband Charles suffered pain in his back and hip for sometime before being referred to Dr Cooke. From the first visit, he was confident that a hip replacement was the way to relieve this pain, and underwent surgery on 17/2/2022. He was home in three days and has continued improving pain free since then. Physiotherapy with Leah Curtis, patient partner, has been wonderful and so helpful. Jade, Dr Cookes aide, was efficient and caring, organizing hospital bookings and notifying me after the surgery was complete. The whole team was fantastic!! Thank you Dr Cooke, Jade, Leah and Dr Corney who looked after my husbands health post surgery while in hospital.
We would have no hesitation in recommending anyone who needed hip, knee or trauma surgery to the wonderful team at Bend Orthopaedics.

I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Cameron Cooke and his team . From my first consultation with Dr. Cooke I felt totally confident that I was in the right hands. I recently had a anterior hip replacement with Dr Cameron Cooke. I can highly recommend this wonderful surgeon and his skilled nurse Jade. From first consult to hospital preparation and theatre, you feel extremely comfortable and confident in the process. Dr Cameron Cooke has a fantastic professional team, receptionist, nurses and skilled Anethetist to make your procedure as easy as possible. Dr Cameron Cooke is a wonderful surgeon and I truely appreciate what he has done for me.

This was an outstandingly positive experience. Efficient, straightforward and supportive through the whole hip replacement procedure. Pain control was excellent and events unfolded as predicted. Recovery is going well. walking about 500m each day (increasing) with only a stick after 3 weeks post op.

I have had an ACL reconstruction performed by Dr Cameron Cooke and cannot be happier with the results. I am 4 weeks down in my recovery journey and have had fantastic progress.
The surgery was much less invasive than my previous ACL reconstruction performed on my other knee, by another surgeon. This meant that the initial swelling and pain was reduced, and I was able to get straight into rehabilitation with minimum delay.

I would highly recommend Dr Cooke and his team to anyone requiring knee surgery.
