My husband had many eye bleeds over several years, numerous injections and a very painful laser treatment, after the last bleed he was totally blind in one eye and told by his Specialist there was nothing else that could be done. Luckily we were recommended by a friend to contact Dr Joseph Park, he was seen to quickly and operated on by Dr Park and now has his eyesight back. We are so grateful to this wonderful Doctor.

I have been attending this clinic for a few years now and cannot recommend Dr Park highly enough. I was fitted in with an emergency and since then have had to have regular check ups which under these COVID times hasn’t been easy for Dr Park. He has had to reduce the number of patients he sees so as to look after the safety of all other patients. His receptionist Esthe has had a huge job trying to rearrange all appointments and has asked that only the patient goes into the surgery - unless the patient is very elderly and needs a carer with them - so as to keep everybody and Dr Park safe. Thank you Esthe and Dr Park for caring about your patients!

Dr Park is a fantastic and highly skilled surgeon. He did both my retinal detachment and cataract surgery. Could not be in better hands! We are very lucky to have him in Brisbane. Its always a pleasure too going to see him as Este, the office manager/receptionist has an infectious laughter and makes you feel at ease. I was nervous about the surgery. Dr. Park and his staff put my mind at ease. The cataract surgery on my eyes had very good results, everything went exactly how I hoped it would. Dr Park is a very calm and experienced surgeon. I had emergency surgery last year and had to travel to Brisbane from Cairns for my surgery. His office lady Esthe made us feel very welcome from the start. Dr Park explained everything clearly including all complications. Dr Park has operated on my eyes three times. He is not only an absolutely brilliant surgeon but he takes the time to explain all of the issues as well as the procedures completely. I have never come across a more impressive medical practitioner. I must make a special mention about his assistant/receptionist she organizes everything perfectly, from appointments to coordinating the operations.

This has been one of the greatest experience of my life! I have had both eyes worked on, with cataracts in both eyes. My vision is now better then it has ever been 20/20 I can not recommend Dr. Park enough, not only a highly skilled surgeon but a really nice guy with it..:)

Following a retinal tear and bleeding in my right eye, I was referred to Dr. Park by my optometrist for emergency treatment. I was very apprehensive at the thought of eye surgery but Dr. Park and his wonderful assistant Esthe talked me through each step of the procedures that I would require to regain my eyesight.
Dr. Park is a very skilled amazing surgeon and I cannot thank him and Esthe enough for their care, understanding and for helping me find my courage. Esthe’s infectious laugh and after hours phone calls were very much appreciated when the world seemed to go a little dark.
You will not find better post operative care and assistance, with all of my questions answered quickly and with reassurance. The end result - I Can See !!!!!!!! I Would recommend Dr. Park to anyone.

Dr Park is the consummate professional, well qualified and skilled. I had two procedures to remove cataracts from the eyes. The operations were well explained and he allowed time between procedures for the first eye to adequately heal. The post-operative visits were thorough and detailed and he addressed any concerns or questions I had. He made me feel at ease on all visits.

As the first contact to Dr Park's rooms, I found his receptionist Esthe an extremely professional, friendly, accommodating and obliging person. Because of patient cancellations Esthe was able to schedule my initial consultation and surgery within five days from cataract detection by an optometrist. On all visits I found a constant in her manner and demeanour both to me and other patients and she made me feel at ease at all appointments. Dr Park attends to numerous patients at a time, either in rooms or waiting in surgery for drops to take effect. Esthe managed reception patients and those in rooms in an orderly manner, providing reassurance and refreshments to those waiting.

All in all an extremely satisfying experience from start to finish

Visiting Dr Park has been about the smartest thing I have ever done. Had I not seen him in late 2016, I would have now simply been blind. Dr Park is arguably one of the best eye surgeons in Australia (if not the best). He has done 4 operations on both of my eyes (3 of them being major operations) over the last 12 months or so and I can say that the culmination of those four operations has been a resounding success. All operations were pain and discomfort free. I can now read without glasses as well as being able to work on my lathes and scroll saw without glasses - this man is a marvel. A major part of the experience with Dr Park is his office manager; Esthe. She is an absolute gem - she is very professional, and goes out of her way to make all patients feel at ease. She has a keen sense of humour and she certainly makes what could be a scary even one which becomes an absolute pleasure. I did read a negative comment on this link, and can only think that person is in need of medical help not provided by an eye surgeon. I would recommend Dr Park to anyone who has any sort of eye problem.

My wife and I have both been cared for by Dr Park during the last 12 months. He is an excellent doctor who listens carefully, provides a detailed diagnosis and energetically ensures his patients have the very best treatment. We are both very impressed with him.

His receptionist Esthe has always been very friendly, efficient and courteous. She also has a good sense of humour and always welcomes us.

Let me finish by telling you what happened a couple of days ago. I experienced some very strange symptoms in my left eye and rang Esthe. She immediately expressed concern and said she would ring Dr Park as soon as he came out of surgery. Not long after Esthe rang back saying Dr Park would see me early in the afternoon as all the appointment slots were taken. He must have given up his lunch to see me. Now that’s what I call commitment!

Dr Park & Esthe very kindly fitted my Mum in for an emergency appointment even though she wasn’t an existing patient & even saw her on a Saturday. Esthe called to confirm some important details after hours, to make sure was a smooth appt for Mum on Saturday morning. Mum & my family really appreciate this.

I felt that I had met a friend at the reception desk and Dr Park saved my sight. I have written a limerick to applaud Dr Park and the clinic.

Husband had possibly an eye emergency day before a public holiday. Was told by optometrist to go to hospital Gold Coast or PA ASAP. Public hospital on the eve of a public holiday - a nightmare. So we tried google. We were amazed Dr Park was working on the Saturday being a public holiday doing - post surgery rechecks. He didn't hesitate to fit hubbie in. Receptionist is a real character - don't change! Fortunately hubbie didn't need surgery. Topped off by standard consult fee - no public holiday or after hours surcharge. Recommend these guys 100%. Very professional, courteous and caring. Well worth the over an hour trip to get there. Easy to find.

One of the best Eye Clinics in Brisbane and possibly Dr. Parks one of the best eye surgeons. My wife can see without glasses now and I still have my left eye after a slight stroke. I can not believe the rubbish posts of rudeness to Ester the receptionist. My wife and I have been going there for years and Ester is on of the best receptionists in the professional business.

As a patient of Dr Park’s for a couple of years now - due to my health condition, I’m a regular, ongoing visitor - I have nothing but praise for the care & support that I’ve received during that time from both Dr Park & Esthe. In both my opinion & experience (which includes over 10 years working in a private hospital), they define what patient care is all about. Everything they do is to ensure that each patient (& their carers, family & support people) are well cared for, well informed & are kept safe. The re-organisation of the waiting room & the restrictions introduced in response to Covid-19 are yet another example of their commitment to ensuring that the safety & well-being of all those attending their clinic is maintained.
From my observation during my visits over the years, every patient (& their support people) are treated with the same care & respect. Thank you both for your part in managing my eye health & for being mindful of the well-being of all who visit your clinic.

Best ophthalmologist in Brisbane. My mum, a visitor from Fiji was treated by Dr Park .i have found this clinic clean with ample parking. Dr Park is highly qualified. Extremely professional, and kind. Receptionist, Este is to be commended for the great work that she does. She is well presented and very friendly. Every information is given in full detail so patients are well informed. I had successful surgeries to my eye following an accident and we both had our cataracts remove. All went very well.

Dr Park is very caring and an outstanding professional, while Esthe is the soul of the Clinik. Ever friendly and efficient, nothing seems too much for her, be it scheduling appointments, having a friendly chat with patients and addressing their questions. The shelves of the reception area are lined with ‘Thank You’ cards and rightly so.

The practice is very well run, modern and bright. Dr Park has heavily invested in the latest diagnostic equipment. He is not only an excellent Opthalmologist, but also a teacher of the next generation of Opthalmologists. He also provides aid to some places in Africa.

We were very lucky to meet them both.
