Sushi Regal

This is the best sushi in Australia. After visiting Japan recently it's the only comparable sushi I've ever found, which includes my samples from high end 'experience' restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne. This is my favourite lunch ever, everytime I get it the first bite is pure bliss and the staff are all so pleasant. If I wasn't a local I would drive here any time I want sushi. If you've tried sushi and aren't a fan, try it here and it will leave you wondering exactly what it was you tried before.

Beautiful little sushi shop. Friendly staff and fresh sushi. They had a large variety of small & large lunch packs for very reasonable prices. Will definitely be back.

Best sushi I’ve ever had. Shame I got the sack from my job in Thornton. Imagine my excitement to find out my son is playing a cricket trial game at Thornton Oval next Saturday. I’m going to inhale that many sushi rolls that I won’t be able to drive back to the Central Coast. The feature that makes these so good is the F:R ratio.
This is the Filling to Rice Ratio. Whenever the F:R > 1 , you know you’ve found a great shop. Sushi Regal is more like 1.5.
And how good are the little stickers that hold the wrapper closed rather than sticky tape. 10 stars.

Regal sushi Pender place Maitland, we are returning visitors to this wonderful little shop. Regal pack seems to be really popular there always sold out but they are happy to make one up for me. Just really nice food consistency is great in food quality and the staff are really friendly and helpful. If your in the area have a try something for everyone.

Between Vancouver BC in Canada, Auckland NZ, and a few places down the east coast of Australia - hands down the best takeaway sushi I’ve had. Generous portions, excellent proportions, lovely people. A must try when in Australia!!

Really good sushi rolls, especially salmon avo and tuna avo. Excellent rice, generous amounts of filling, and they don't use copious quantities of mayo like some places do, so you can really enjoy the taste and texture of the good quality, fresh fish.

Best sushi in the Hunter!!! None other compares. It is so delicious and yummy every single time! I love it so much and was very sad it wasn't in my LGA during lockdown, but I have visited frequently since lockdown has ended. Would recommend to anyone! My favourite is their katsu chicken and their chicken + lettuce, sooo yummy! Have never had a fault with their sushi and have been purchasing since they opened a few years ago.

Tiny shop on the corner of a not very upmarket shopping center. But a nicely presented shop, clean and well presented products.

Their Sushi recipe is like others, but they sauce them well and display them fresh.

Being choosy about food outlets I definitely give them 5 stars.

Best sushi in Maitland/Newcastle. Made fresh, great flavours and ingredients. Never disappoints.

By far the best sushi I’ve ever eaten and probably the best sushi I will ever eat, the sauce they put on their sushi is what makes it. wish I could give it a higher rating. Also the staff are great and always make it fresh upon request

Best sushi in Newcastle! Friendly service, everything is made fresh and if they don’t have it they will make to order! Ramen is also delicious 👌🏻
