Boucher French Bistro

Lovely place for food, my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. We ordered steak tartare and foie gras, which were both excellent entrees. The Angus beef was my personal favourite but I wasn’t a fan of the duck as it was a bit on the dry side. Our food did take a while to come out but that’s just an opportunity to spill more tea with your friends 🫣. The restaurant was quiet so I could hear everything my friend was telling me, even when we whispered and the tables seemed to be far away enough that I couldn’t hear the other guests, a perfect ambiance in my opinion. Parking was also a breeze, there was many spots during the night. We shall be back for the chateau briand 😉

Fantastic visit to Boucher, the service was excellent and the food was fantastic. A beautiful interior and a very relaxed but sophisticated vibe. We never felt rushed and really enjoyed every aspect of the meal. Looking forward to the next meal there!

Good traditional French food presented traditionaly. Great Desserts. Decent wines too.
The service was excellent and good atmosphere with nice music in the background.
Parking is a bit of an issue but available a short walk away in the residential area.
The restaurant is opposite the Graceville suburban station so train could be an option.

We had a great time. Great service, attentive but not overly attentive which is great. Food was awesome. Everything was made perfectly. The area can get a bit loud when people in groups have had a little to drink but other than that everything was wonderful...

Definitely a French restaurant worth revisiting! The staff were lovely and non-intrusive, good ambience and nice selection of wines.

Was pleasantly surprised by how balanced all the flavours were, the chef definitely pays attention to detail and you can tell that the team at Boucher are passionate about delivering good food!

We enjoyed the following entrees, all of which I would reorder:
- Roquefort soufflé, this was paired well with the walnuts
- foie gras, smaller serving but well paired with I think it’s pumpkin puree over a brioche bread?
- steak tartare, not mind blowing but definitely a well done balanced tartare

Stand out: bouillabaisse - I’m biased as it’s my favourite soup but it’s a must for all seafood lovers. Strong tomalley, thick and rich, generous large serving (best shared between 2-3) with plentiful seafood. Especially enjoyed the bugs in this and the large prawns w the prawn heads still attached.

Also ordered:
Black Angus: everything complimenting this steak was fantastic and paired well with each other, but the steak itself fell a bit short as it was much tougher/drier than I was expecting. Regardless I was so happy/impressed with the rest of the plate that it can be disregarded.

Confit duck w pear and French lentils - duck falls off the bone easily and paired well with the pear. Generous serving size. We were a bit full at this point 😅

Cauliflower gratin- deeeelicioud side, would definitely reorder this cheesy creamy side.

Apple tarte tartine was yum, very sweet caramel but yum nether the less.

Hope to try their chateau briand next time, opted against it as we were definitely too hungry to wait 1.5hr for it (the time it takes to prepare it).

Will defs be back for the bouillabaisse- even by myself on a winter night it’d be perfect

- came back to try to chateau briand. Absolutely delightful, fkn massive serving idk what they mean about “2 people serving”, thank god we didn’t double up for our table of 6 HAHAHA. It was so tasty, the lyonnaise potatoes were DELICIOUS. Absolutely worth noting that you want this when you make the booking or call up as it takes 1.5hrs to prepare.
- bouillabaisse still tastes the same and delicious
- everything is consistent with our last visit, excellent service, excellent attention to detail in the food on all aspects, cosy neighbourhood vibes- love this place

We've been here a few times and it's been wonderful each time. The food is always cooked perfectly, so rich and full of flavour. Love it! You also get good portion sizes for a decent price. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for good French cuisine.

French cuisine at its finest here in Graceville Brisbane Australia. The service and food was excellent! Of course you will expect to pay premium prices for this quality. The ambience was nice with the low lighting. You would need to book in advance if you plan to go during peak hours like weekends. Highly recommend. 👍😎

After an enjoyable previous experience, we had a reservation at Boucher for a birthday dinner this past weekend. Everything exceeded our expectations. The food was sublime, and the service impeccable. We are especially grateful for the excellent service that Luka provided.

We all look forward to coming back.

I cannot express how much I enjoyed my evening, the dining experience brought back so many good memories. The food was exquisite and perfect. I took my friends out for a new experience, I ordered most of the entrees then the confit duck. My friends had the pork dish and the barramundi. The night was perfect.

Proper French Bistro meals. The classics are all here. Full sized meals. We both agreed we would have been happy with any item of the menu.

We went for Valentine's Day 2021. The entree and the main were fabulous. I think the desserts can be better though - the presentation was a bit off.

Services were pretty quick, and the staffs were friendly. I would definitely come back to this French Bistro to try out their other food.

Excellent wait staff who were all Friendly and attentive. We came with our 2.5 year old and one of the staff even offered to take him for a walk or look after him while we ate. Fabulous food. The beef tartare was very nice so was the bouillabaisse and the steak. Can’t complain.

On a search for Sunday breakfast options, decided to give Boucher a go. Great food and excellent setup but misses out 1 star due to a couple of things. The mushrooms in my wife's breakfast could have used salt at the very least as were a tiny bit bland; the coffee whilst smooth lacked a caffeine punch and the choice of dance music was a tiny bit jarring given the beautiful layout.
Minor complaints only but we'll be going again!

Perfect service, tastes great.
We were here last night celebrating my daughter's year 12 graduation. We have a wonderful memories here.

An excellent night out with the ladies! The wine menu was extensive and cocktails were delish! Our food was to die for...not to mention the fact they hand crafted a vegetarian dish for one of us (as her allergens meant she wasn't able to eat much from the menu specifically). Professional and kind staff and very quick service - great experience Boucher!

Located in a somewhat unassuming part of Brisbane, Boucher initially appealed due to its ease of access, parking and solid reviews. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a smile and shown to our table. The ambient lighting and candles upon each table set the intimate atmosphere, perfect for a romantic dinner for two. From start to finish, the staff were friendly and polite, providing top service without feeling rushed. Rest aside, the food was incredible, the highlight being the slow roasted lamb shoulder. Complemented by a top range of wines, I can definitely recommend Boucher for fine dining without the pretentiousness of others we have tried. Will definitely return.

Best to celebrate special occasions here! My family loved it, and all dishes served were delicious. Plus points for the staff being super helpful.

Great place for an indulgent Friday lunch - beautiful food, great service, lovely surroundings. Looking forward to cooler weather as am keen to try the bouillabaisse.

Fabulous food, and service all round. Difficult to choose what to eat everything is so good, the waitstaff are amazingly attentive without being intrusive. The wine pairings suggested were spot on. I highly recommend Boucher for a wonderful meal.

Very impressive food and service - altogether prompt in all aspects. The staff were knowledgeable, unobtrusive while still attentive.
I had the rump with side of fois gras as the main following my entree of roast snail.
The style is warm and intimate and you can feel the buzz in the ambience.
It's a certain repeat visit establishment.
