Who doesn't love getting recognition with stars?

I take the act of sharing my favorite things very seriously, and for me, it brings me as much joy as savoring crispy chips!

During my enchanting sojourn at the Brunswick hotel in Fortitude Valley, I delighted in savoring delectable chips served with a savory dip, while quenching my thirst with the delightful effervescence of lemonade.

I waited patiently for the chippies to dine,
Before I poured myself more lemonade so fine.

I love coming here! Got the 200g eye fillet for a change tonight and was so impressed!! Best steak I've had in years cooked to perfection, chips were incredible, and salad so yummy!!! The pepper gravy is the best ever. Raved on about the food to my partner the whole evening. Can't wait to come here again! Staff are so lovely, service is great and such a great venue for dinner. Thank you so much to the chef Robson!!! Keep it up, your food is amazing! 💓

My usual go-to place in the Valley for a nice steak. Chef Robson has never let me down with any part of the meal.

Atmosphere is good, and the location makes it a great first stop for a good night in the City. They always host some exciting events, too.

The chef Sam did a fantastic job. I asked for the steak to be cooked a particular way and he did beyond expectation. Did exactly what we needed and I can't ask for more honesty. Definitely am recommending to close freinds and family. Thanks again Sam

Amazing homely pub, they have a round pool table which is in equal parts bizarre and fun. Josh, was our barman and he was incredible. Gave us a list of suggested things to do whilst we’re visiting Brisbane from Victoria. He also taught us a new pool variation and was fun, friendly and full of banter. Loved the atmosphere here!

Talea was unbelievably amazing! The service, convo, prices, second to none! I cannot recommend this place enough, all because of her, she is so attentive and so costumer focused, she is 1 of kind!!

Biggest surprise ever. Shame on me that I had pre-judged this venue based on it's location and me preconceptions. Went there for Balls out Bingo, no expectations.
Enter a great beer garden style outdoor area. Ordered rump on the 'seniors' menu expecting average pub meal. Well, best steak I have had in forever. Last time was a club 4yrs ago in Bargara. Exceptional flavour, moist, succulent and loved it. The people I was with equally loved their meals.
So many of my favourite beer choices on tap and schooners were just $7.20.
Service was friendly, prompt and faultless.
Congrats to the Brunswick. You have a lot to live up to now as i will be back with high expectations.
Glad to finally get a chance for another good review. Tired of so many poor ones lately.

FOOD & DRINK
The Brunswick is part of the ALH Group, whose stable includes the Indooroopilly Hotel, the Newmarket, the Morrison and many other pubs around Brisbane. We’ve dined at a number of them and always found the standards to be consistently high. We’ve never been disappointed at an ALH Hotel, and the Brunswick was no exception.

My wife and I dined on a quiet Sun night. We started with the beer special, a schooner of Great Northern Super Crisp at $6, and a glass of Prosecco ($8). Great way to start the evening. As seniors, we were able to avail ourselves of the discounted seniors menu. For entree, we choose the calamari, with chips, salad, lemon and aioli. It was delicious and chewy, and came with a generous serve of crunchy chips and salad. For our main meals, we both chose the 250g rump steaks with pepper sauce for me and mushroom sauce for my wife. Unbeatable value at just $16. Steaks were beautifully prepared and well cooked just the way we like them, but still tender and full of flavour. Steaks come with a choice of two sides, I chose chips and caesar salad, my wife went for the garden salad and mash. It was all perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals, so thanks to the hardworking chefs. We couldn’t have been happier. For dessert, our all-time fav, the sticky date pud at the reasonable price of $8. The pud was sweet and moist, and came with fresh cream, a dollop of ice cream and finely sliced strawberry to top it off. Perfect way to end a fine meal.

AMBIENCE
We both loved the relaxed, casual, laid back ambience of this place. The bistro space is large, spacious and airy with stylish, trendy decor and comfy chairs. It’s carpeted throughout with colourful artwork on the walls and low mood lighting to give it a perfect atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that you’ll feel happy to be in. On the night that we dined, it was fairly quiet, just a smattering of other diners, but that added to the calm and unhurried vibe. Acoustics were good and we were easily able to converse.

SERVICE
Our server, Morgan, was neatly turned out in a smart white serving jacket. She greeted us warmly and throughout the evening, she was friendly, efficient and attentive. Orders were promptly taken and drinks came out quickly, followed by the entrees and shortly after that, the main courses and then dessert. We arrived at around 6.00pm, by 7.30pm we were done, and that’s just how we like it. There’s also the option for electronic ordering, using a barcode affixed to a little disc on your table, but being a quiet eve, we found ordering with the waitress the easier way to go.

TOILETS
The toilets are sparkling clean, modern and well provisioned. They look pretty new too, or recently renovated, with ample male and female cubicles, strong lighting, rows of shiny basins and fast hand dryers. They’re well signposted and easy to find just behind the bistro.

COST
Taking advantage of the seniors' menu, we paid a modest $74 for two glasses of wine, a schooner of beer, an entree, two main courses and dessert. That’s outstanding value for money when you think that a humble cup of coffee now sets you back almost 5 pesos, so thanks to the ALH Hotel Group for this generous initiative to help out long suffering seniors.

PARKING
We found easy street parking on Brunswick St, opposite the hotel, where there were no weekend or after hours restrictions. The hotel also has its own car park, which you can access via Brunswick or Kent Streets.

SUMMARY
We had a fab evening and everything ran smoothly. Food was outstanding and served in generous portions. The cool ambience is perfect for a relaxing meal with family and friends. Service was efficient and polite. Add to that, clean and modern toilets, free parking and modest prices and you have an ideal evening out. They have poker machines too, if you want to have a little flutter after your meal. Thanks guys, we will definitely be back!

We came with a group and harmony was the most amazing host. I had dietary requiements and she went above and beyond. She went over everything I could/couldnt eat and was generally the nicest waitress I’ve ever come across.

I was after a lunch rump special. On a week day, it was quiet and peaceful.
I ordered the steak and a glass of red. They all looked fresh and yummy.
It is good to be alone sometimes. This place allows you to be so if you are interested.
It was a reasonable price for what you get and tasty for sure.
It is no comparison to the Gilhooleys' rump special for instance.
I can't wait to go back for my lunch again.

Had a great afternoon at the Brunswick Hotel! Sul and Zach were really helpful, we were with a large group and they organised an alternative spot inside in case the rain got too bad for us. Good food and fast service, plus good drink prices.

Casual monday stroll turned into few afternoon beers. Solely cause Zach is a legend.

Not often u run into chatty bar tenders with proper “customer first” mentality.

Boss day,

Cheers Zach

I dropped in for a quick drink with friend. Loved the atmosphere. Quick scan of the menu and I could see the price to be way cheaper than pubs nearby.

The staffs are friendly and jolly. Nice ambience for a couple of drinks or partying.

Crazy to realise the price of food or bevys could be soo much cheaper than in/around the Brunswick Street mall..

The "Service" sounds too much like "hired help".

Of the last several times I've frequented this hotel, I've been made welcome, catered for and never disappointed..

Get in quick, because this ol school legend is very quickly becoming a hotspot.

Cheers to the friends I haven't met yet @BrunswickHotel
