The food was amazing, tasty, came out very quickly , the scallops had the best flavour I've ever had, we will definitely be back here !! The lychee sour is a must as well ... You will not regret it!!!

Honestly the Mixed Sashimi is good.. The seafood is fresh.. Harvey Bay Scallops is recommended as well..Service is fast and the food is served quick as well..

The food and beverages were amazing here!! The sashimi was so fresh! Everything tasted delicious, and the ramen and broth just perfect.

Fat Panda has the best Japanese food and friendly service. The sashimi is super fresh. I highly recommend the sashimi tartare and sashimi tacos. The scallops, spicy rock 'n roll sushi and the flavour bomb winter warming tonkotsu ramen were other favourites of mine. I also loved the loaded fluffy baos. On our recent visit we enjoyed several beautifully delicious and refreshing mocktails. The dilemma is choosing which ones to order. I will definitely be revisiting Fat Panda and highly recommend it if you are wanting Japanese food in the Canley Heights area.

Great selection of sushi, sashimi, rolls and beverages including asahi beer and also cocktails. Service was above and beyond. Food came out quickly and was delicious, fresh and full of flavour. The staff were super friendly and helpful, thank you. I spilt my drink and they replaced it for free- wasn’t expecting that. So thank you! Will definitely return.

Best spot for local Japanese food! If you’re a fan of oysters 100% get the trio of oysters you won’t regret it!! I would also recommend the Scorched assorted sushi set between two. Everything else I had here was delicious and staff were excellent.
The place also looks amazing after their renovation will defs be back!

Excellent quality for the price. The sashimi taco was amazing, highly recommend. We got the taco, tuna nigiri, karaage chicken, whole chicken katsu, rice, vegetable spring rolls, spicy tuna roll, plus drinks for about $90.

Wow best scotch belly salmon. The food is just on another level. The service is outstanding and the chef knows exactly how to satisfy my appetite

Everything was super tasty super well cooked alot of flavour and nice variety staff very friendly and kind i enjoyed the atmosphere! The ribs and pork belly was to die for would highly recommend!!

The place has been redesigned I do miss the anime posters and old menu but the new menu is still amazing the sushi and shashimi was excellent and its always nice to watch the chefs prepare it infront of you the waiters and bartender were amazing definitely a 11 outta 10 very personal service and was always on top of us there was a nice selection of cocktails and Japanese alcohol
My wagu literally melted in my mouth can't ask for much more the udon were also perfect the broth a excellent match I would definitely come back and will be coming back as i feel it's like a little hidden gem of a place and if you know you know!!

On entry 100% covid safety conscious. With that out of the way, friendly staff and welcoming with great recommendations. The menu is extensive, the food is fresh, delectable and a real taste sensation. Beer, wine and spirits are served there and we received a complimentary sake to end the meal. Glad we walked in.

I have been here a few times now, and think the perfect order consists of the kingfish carpaccio, the soft shell crab bao, the unagi + cucumber roll and maybe add the chicken karaage. Fresh, contrasting textures, and well balanced flavours. The carpaccio and bao are perfection, in particular.

The service is also awesome - they have a beautiful, attentive team working here and the food comes out swiftly.

If I had to criticise a single thing, the temaki/hand rolls have a tad too much rice in them and the nori isn’t crunchy, but that’s me being pedantic about temaki. At least they are filling - these guys do not skimp on softshell crab - and the rice is seasoned and cooked well.

Reasonably priced for the solid quality too.

Hello Fat Panda, in this hot weather, finding a restaurant to sit down with everyone in the family to eat together is really difficult, but today I and my family went to Fat Panda. Our family's first impression was about the atmosphere that the restaurant brings, which is very cool and has a very family atmosphere and my children really like it, followed by the food according to our personal feelings. The restaurant has a very special menu. We tried the sashimi and I felt it was very fresh (you can feel the coolness of the fish pieces and it doesn't have a fishy smell at all, it made me think it was a dish our sashimi was prepared by their chef who just made a raw fish to treat us) next was the sushi rolls which were very delicious my kids loved the Ebi roll they put some kind of sauce on top of the Ebi roll makes the roll sweet on the outside and Ebi on the inside but in general we highly recommend everyone to order this dish, my son ordered a portion of salmon handroll which my son said was very good. The fish is delicious and the fish is delicious, so the boy likes it so much that he wants to eat more. We ordered udon and I think it was delicious. The soup is very light and very suitable for hot weather like this. As for the drinks, I personally think it's okay, but the service staff here are very enthusiastic, they're very happy, they serve my children very enthusiastically, which makes me very satisfied. about this. As for the price, we feel that the price the restaurant offers is very reasonable for families, so you should go eat with your family. Thank you Fat Panda for giving our family a very good experience and we will come back again.

Came here on a fersday night. 4 beers 40 gyozas for $40. Staff told us we could get a half special for 20 and have a soft drink.
I don't have a photo of the gyozas they went pretty quick.
I think these guys have been around for 6+ years now. The first Japanese restaurant in a heavily dominated Vietnamese space. The vibe is nice, the staff are friendly and attentive.
The food is nice and fresh and the prices for what you're getting is good value. Especially the specials on Tues, weds and Thurs. I have seen people waiting outside on Fridays, sat and sun nights. We were able to call ahead the night before to book.
They've got a sushi train too.

The soft-shell crab is incredible and instantly one of my favourite things to eat. The bao is moist and soft, unlike other baos I've had, and the crab is crunchy with soft meat. Saucy and full of texture, the soft-shell crab bao is a MUST! I went on a Wednesday and they offered a salmon lover special. Sashimi slices are generously THICK and fresh. Lychee cocktail was also so good!

Everything here could very well be one of the best Japanese restaurants i've dined at. the staff here are very hospitable, attentive, and welcoming, and every dish we've had here was made to perfection.

Great quality sushi and an awesome inner city Japanese sushi bar vibe. The service is attentive and the food is yum. It is a little bit pricey but the portions are decent. We love the grilled nigiri, the baos (have had pork belly, soft shell crab and Peking duck) and the hand rolls are good to fill you up. There is a very extensive menu that we have only scraped the surface of in a few visits - will keep returning. A great spot for a date night!
