Jack Duggans Irish Pub

On a bike trip with my partner. Stopped in at Bathurst for the night. Found this great place after a Google search as looking for somewhere for dinner. We ordered the lamb stew and Guinness pie. They were very nice. Had a few pints of Guinness off tap as well. Went down a treat. Staff were very friendly.
They also had a trivia night which we stayed for (although we didn't go too well) 😂😂😂
Will definitely be back next time we come through.

Lovely warm and friendly atmosphere. Staff were super helpfull. Food was really delicious. Recommend Duggans share platter. There was enough for 3 hungry people. We will stay there when next in Bathurst. It's right in the middle of town.

Great pub in the middle of town. Was looking for a pub to eat in, so glad we came across this one.
Bar service was awesome, even after all the eftpos machines went down and made more work.
Food was fantastic. Twice cooked pork belly and Jack's beef burger, both great. The summer salad was absolutely fantastic.

Friendly young bloke on the till taking our order.
2 had the Twice Cooked Pork Belly [32] with roast Pumpkin and a Summer salad.
Never seen PB so thick, perfectly cooked, with a fantastic salad consisting of mixed leaf, mango, apple and pear.
It was outstanding.
The other 2 had Lamb Stew [28] with garlic bread.
Both highly impressed and satisfied.
Great lunch.

The place is large, consisting of multiple areas as you walk through from one side of the street, through to the next adjacent street

Each large area, is enclosed, with one side being the traditional pub I believe, the next section seemed like an extension to the original building, after that it looked like an outside area covered and after that another covered that looked like it had some gates that accessed the street, meaning the whole pub went through from one street right through to the next street, if that makes sense

The atmosphere was cosy, pub lit, meaning reasonably low light but not dark and dingy, more pub themed

I wish I had looked around more to give a better description, but we were there for lunch with little time to spare, so maybe next time I'll add more details, because all 5 in our party said we will certainly go there again

Every meal was enjoyed, nothing was undercooked or overcooked, pretty much exactly as ordered

One of our party has extreme diatry requirements, and needed a very plain meal, that means no sauces, food cooked without butter or most oils in the pan, rice with no extras, not even a single clove, this place handled the request with ease, in fact, they were more concerned with masking sure they got things right, than the inconvenience it might have been in the kitchen coming the food. You would not believe how much some places still carry on about changing a meal to accommodate people, but not this place, it seemed like they thived on giving great service.

As I said, we will be going there again for sure, next time I'll try and write up a more detailed review about the premise itself and the menu

A great pub. Wonderful atmosphere to enjoy a great beer while relaxing to Irish music while enjoying some great food grub. The Publican and chef were very accommodating serving us a late lunch, thanks guys!?

Having the chicken and leak pie with my dad who is scoffing down a Guinness pie. Best pub meal I've had for a while. Awesome atmosphere.

After a bit of a hiatus from Jack Duggans, we thought we’d give it a go again. We were not disappointed, looks like the current proprietors have worked hard to get the Irish feel back into the place, they have succeeded! The Irish music playing in the background was fab, made your feet tap, the food was was fab too! Irish curry & chips, braised beef & colcannon was delicious. Generous portions, reasonably priced. Will defo be back and be spreading the word ☘ ☘ 🇮🇪🇮🇪

Great Irish style restaurant, I can feel a vintage vibe when I visited there. Me and co-workers had a great experience with their food.

Great bar in the centre of Bathurst, very friendly staff! Always greeted on arrival and spoken too by all the staff especially Toby and Trevor.

Couldn’t recommend enough

Back again cause it was so good last week,today we tried the fish and chips,the rump steak and vegetables and chips and the Irish pork sausages, meals were again excellent, service good only disappointment was they didn't have the Irish music on which we liked last week

Cold Guinness on tap, over 100 year old pub with an eclectic mix of old wares around pub, staff very friendly and up for chat.... would recommend
