We crammed in three fantastic tours in just over half a day: the clock tower, museum highlights, and City Hall! Our incredibly knowledgeable guide made the experience informative and engaging.

The Museum of Brisbane itself was a highlight, offering fascinating stories about Brisbane and its suburbs. It was truly amazing to learn about the city's rich history and culture.

This was a wonderful experience. Visited with friends and had morning tea down in the old settlers' inn. The Museum had so many things to see. I could easily go again. Take your time, read the info and enjoy the art

It had been about 3 years since our last visit. Great to see the totally new exhibits. Book in advance at weekends for the free clocktower tour.

Very interesting place to visit offering a nice history of QLD and Brisbane.
Close to transport and walking distance from train and bus, this is very worthwhile to visit.
Entrance is through the city/town hall and it is free to enter and see the fantastic artwork the museum has to offer.
Visit the large auditorium and take birds eye photos inside, it is an impressive place. The office of the mayor is also in the same building.
The third floor has the clock tower tour, it is a great experience and good opportunity while you are there, to take the free tour and explore more history of Brisbane. You need to book the tour though and a maximum of 7 people can enter the clock tower. Once up, you can enjoy views of Brisbane, CBD and iconic buildings. Feel free to take as many photos and videos especially while the clock tower tour guide is explaining the history of the clock tower and also a bit of Brisbane history.

Located within the historic Brisbane City Hall. Worthwhile spending an hour at the Museum to visit the exhibits and learn about the history of Brisbane and its people. A trip up the clock tower is recommended and should be booked in advance.

Intimate museum located on the top floor of the historic Brisbane City Hall. Access from King George Square via lifts off the foyer. For those visiting the museum entry is free. The MoB reception is also the waiting area for the City Hall Tower Clock tours.

The Brisbane Museum is a great place to visit and check on new exhibitions, some of them are really interesting and different from an average exhibition you could find on another museum. The thing i liked the most is that you and your kids can interact with them! AND ITS FREE!!

Great museum inside city hall. Book a tour up the clock tower for the full experience (free but limited to currently 4 people) including the old lift. No need to buy tickets for the museum itself but do book ahead for the clock tower if you want to go up. Please note clock tower tours are not wheelchair accessible as there are narrow stairs at the top

Great place to visit, located on 3 level 1. Museum of Brisbane (MoB) explores Brisbane's contemporary and historic aspects through art, workshops, and exhibitions.

2. MoB has won top honors at prestigious national awards multiple times.

3. Opened in 2003, it's housed in Brisbane City Hall and moved to a purpose-built space in 2013.

4. The collections feature 9,000+ items, including local art and historical objects.

5. MoB is open daily, free entry, except for special exhibitions and closed on some holidays.

This place I truly love. It is a reliable source of interest, learning, and cultural uptempo inspiration. There's clearly a great team who work on making the installations facinating. It's a trustworthy tourist destination.
The added bonuses can be a cup of tea at Shingle Inn, a peek at the main hall with colourful dome at City Hall, and a guided tour of the clock tower.

A small museum with a variety of collections, including historical, ceramics, modern, aboriginal, etc. The challenge is finding the museum lobby, but once you do, you will enjoy it. Friendly staff, especially Brian at the front desk.

Nice little museum. Loved seeing the historical writeups and photos of lost Brisbane. Had a good chat with the chap that was looking after the Brisbane photo display- really informative. A couple of kid friendly interactive displays as well. Whilst you're there be sure to check out City Hall and its heritage design elements and head up to the clock tower.
