Eight Mile Creek Campground

No facilities here but it’s right on the beach so who cares! I loved it.

A great little spot, access to the beach and lots of flat ground can be windy as on the coast but even in rain the ground stays firm and is grassy. Good first point of coming from Victoria and going to explore SA. Were off from here to Robe via Limestone Coast. Access off tarmac road and multiple sites, okay phone reception on Telstra 4G and Optus 3G spotty. No toilet facilities where we camped but were told there might be some up the road. Will update if we find more information after this post.

No toilets, but a lot of black swans. Beach is peaceful ✌.

Beautiful very simple camp ground with beach access. Grassy soft ground.

Its next to the road. I got confused and turned right down danger access track for a bit but thats just private property and would be easy to get bogged. so campground isnt hidden from the 8 mile creek road but otherwise it's secluded. There weren't many cars driving past.

I had the place to myself because was heavy rain all weekend but ground stayed firm. Next time will put tarp under swag as a lot of water seeped through.

No faculties but easily made a fire with pre-dug fire pit and ash from a previous camper. I was impressed with how clean they left the place and hope it can stay like that.

Also called The Bird hide free camping for self contained or if you don't mind using the bush as a toilet tents also..more of a motorhome than a caravan type situation not that big good phone reception about 10 klm from port McDonald... Good long beach bird sanctuary zone...grassy camp spots insects and flies not to bad ... quiet although when l took these photos a heap of motor home people drove in usually you have it to yourself.just over 20 klm to Mt Gambier a good place to chill out have a fish you can also drive along entire beach ..

Small area on grass right next to coast, hard to find but worth it, no toilets, no water..must be self contained

Great spot, gets busy... we found a spot out of the wind.

Very quite and only short walk to the Ocean
