My daughter has been attending RECC since she was 10 months old and I have to say I chose the centre based on ‘feel’. The educators are so patient and kind and it has been beautiful to see my little one form lasting connections with them as her ‘weekday parents’.

It is such a big adjustment leaving your baby with strangers, so it has been comforting seeing her thrive in this warm and caring environment. The centre staff are all have passion for what they do and it really shows.

They go above and beyond to ensure babies and caregivers feel comfortable and are big on communication if they are unsure of anything. Highly recommend RECC to anyone looking for a daycare.

We love this daycare so much. They are so caring and care for every child's individual needs so well. My son is quite particular with how he eats and will only be rocked to sleep and needs to be held a lot - which is no issue for them here. When I forget to pack extra clothes for him, they dress him in the spares. They've been able to get him to eat more than I can at home. And everyone is so kind, positive and warm throughout each of the rooms.
We're so glad we chose this centre. I love that it's a not-for-profit place too, as I feel like everyone who works here really cares about their job and the community. Love it!
Special mention to Lynda in the Nursery, my son loves her so much and I'm so grateful for the extra care and attention she gives

We are so grateful to have stumbled across this personable, not-for-profit centre. It is by far the best centre we toured (8 in total). No torturous waitlist. With the take away msg “we don’t profit from children’s education” resonating with us. Our son has been there for almost one year, in Nursery and now Tiny Tots. He absolutely loves going 4 days a week. The outdoor yard is the biggest I’ve seen, beautiful views of the lake and black mountain. The educators genuinely care and take a keen interest in each individual child and their individual development. Every day is fun filled and reported on Storypark for parents to see. Every day our son comes home having learnt a new skill, or word. And it’s truly amazing to see the growth. This is a direct result of the care RECC provide.

Other things like drop off and pick up are easy w endless parking and no traffic to contend with. We’re always greeted w a smiling face. The food is wholesome and plentiful. We would like to see more variety in menu and the chef has readily taken on our feedback for improvements. They have a great new mud kitchen, plenty of space to run and play, lots of play equipment and toys inside and out. But best of all, they use simply materials to manufacture real life I.e building a cow for the children to milk using a glove and real milk to squeeze. It reminds me of my childhood. Nothing fancy, just simple and fun.

Couldn’t recommend more highly and I refer my friends/colleagues every chance I get. They’re flexible w enrolments, no set days, holiday periods free. Your baby will feel at home here ❤

We felt very confident leaving our crawling baby in the nursery here. All age groups are very well looked after and kids come from all different backgrounds. Great director, great staff, great committee. And my son is even putting things away when he comes home!

RECC staff have been amazing with my 20-month-old daughter. She started in the nursery room and has now graduated to Tiny Tots. She gets so exited pulling up in the carpark and is always telling me about her day and talking about her friends and teachers on our drive home. She has started recognising colours and counting to 10 recently—all of which she learned at RECC. I can’t speak highly enough of the fabulous staff and facilities at this centre. The playground is well equipped and the educators really take the time to create fun and engaging activities for the children. Give them a try—you won’t be disappointed.

My son has been attending the Reid Early Childhood Centre since the beginning of this year and we couldn’t be happier.
They have a huge, wonderful outdoor area, full of trikes, climbing frames, a new mud kitchen and a sandpit full of diggers (the sandpit alone is bigger than the whole outdoor area at his previous daycare). The babies have a separate outdoor area of their own, with age appropriate toys, but the older kids all get a chance to play together outdoors.
Inside there are always a varied selection of educational activities set up for kids to explore in their own time, as well as toys and games. They change them around often, so that the kids are drawn in by something new.
The teachers are all lovely and supportive, especially through what has been a crazy year for everyone. They come up with endless fun activities and crafts, and support kids with different interests.
My older son always wants to go with me to pick my little one up, so that he can check out their toys and see what they’re doing. It’s always something fun!

Both of my children attend RECC and we are so happy there! My 2.5 year old son has attended for 2 years, he had made such great friendships with both his peers and educators. In particular he loves the huge yard, sandpit, play equipment and bikes! My 10 month old daughter also recently started in the nursery. She too is enjoying playing outside and all the sensory activities they do in the nursery. The educators are clearly passionate and organise a variety of experiences for the children, and will be starting yoga next week! The introduction of Story Park earlier this year has really helped with communication and its fabulous that we receive photos and comments throughout the day.

I have now had 2 children at RECC and we have been part of this wonderful community for nearly 7 years! My older child still runs in and hugs her old educators when she comes for pick ups (low staff turn over).

As a community run centre, where every family is a member, parents can have their say in any aspect they wish, from menus to programming, to inputting their own time and coming in to read a book to the kids or sharing a skill. The community also pitches in /gets together regularly and it’s been wonderful to meet other families, some of which have become long term friendships!

As a not for profit (and unlike for profit centres), all spare money goes back into improving the centre, children’s resources, educational program and upskilling staff.

There are a host of other benefits:
- competitive prices (because it’s a community run not for profit, they WANT to keep prices low)
- Proximity to work and city without the parking hassles
- included nutritious meals... I don’t worry when the toddler doesn’t eat much dinner. I know that she’s had a great lunch by our lovely chef Hani. The smell some days is amazing and even I want to stay for lunch.
- huge natural outdoor play space with real
Nature, gardens, and chickens coming soon I hear!
- excellent programming. Both kids come / came home with something new everyday. Today the toddler showed off her new yoga poses.
- best of all it’s the bonds they create with the educators that make them like an extended family. That’s what attracted us in the first place. RECC educators are so warm and caring. Both my children call their teachers their friends and willingly pack their bags and wave goodbye for a day at ‘school’.

Highly recommend!

We are very happy with the care our children receive from the team at RECC. We have formed great relationships with the leadership team, the educators and other families. We really enjoy and appreciate the Centre's large outdoor playground.

I particularly have a great amount of respect for the Centre's Executive team (i.e. parents) who are very professional, dedicated, and take a genuine interest in the wellbeing of the Centre, its staff, the children and their families.

An excellent centre. Community feel. Very little staff turnover, they are attentive and caring, never frazzled, good ratios too. Large outdoor playground, not cramped like some other places.

I have attended this school for 2 years. It is convenient, the prices are competitive(meals are included), the educators are great (toilet trained me). Shout out to Tori
