Rumours Diner

I recently visited Rumours Diner and had one of the best cafe experiences in the country. I have to say that the food was exceptional, and the staff members were welcoming, efficient, and super friendly. The cafe even offers plenty of parking for those who travelled by caravan or truck. I've frequented this café a few times now, and I highly recommend it.

The hot chocolate was also exquisite, and I have to mention the cleanliness of the cafe, which exceeded my expectations. They even have a variety of souvenirs for sale, and there's a post office and other shops nearby.

There's a wonderful children's park across the road too, so it's a perfect spot to grab a bite to eat with the family. I can attest that the coffee here is fantastic and not just a rumour, but an undisputed fact.

It's worth the one-minute detour to Millaa Millaa for a mug of their delicious latte, which is only $4.50, and they don't charge extra for soy milk.

They have an extensive selection of food items, and everything looked scrumptious."

Great service. The chips were so so good and came in a bigger serving size than we expected which was a bonus. Great place to stop off on the way to the waterfalls surrounding it.

Oh wow I have never ever had trouble finishing a meal until I took their big breakfast on. Staff know what customer service is, very nice and friendly. Coffee was fantastic. The variety of nick nack gifts as a tourist was fantastic. I will stop in every time I’m on the way past and I don’t doubt the quality.

Was pleasantly surprised by the Gluten free options, and impressed with their quality. With few options for lunch today, I had low expectations so far from large towns.
My burger with the lot was great
Hubby said his fish and chips (not GF) were lovely
Thick shake was great
Still too full to eat the caramel slice
They also had tiny chairs for my daughter 😊

One of the best cafe shop experiences you can get in the country. Good food, fast and super friendly staff. Plenty of parking inclusive for the caravan and truck on the road. Been here a few times and recommend

Walking in I was unsure of the quality of food we would get. But boy did they turn that doubt into a delicious meal with our family. The large chips is a large chips and I wouldn’t take it on by myself but perfect to share between 2 or 3 alongside a burger. Would recommend if you’re in the area.

This isn’t a rumour, it’s a fact . Great coffee at Rumours Diner and worth the 1 minute detour to Millaa Millaa . An eclectic array of gifts to view whilst waiting . Sitting inside or out. $4.50 for. Mug of latte and no extra for soy if wanted. Great array of food selection which all looked yum.

Great food and coffee. We came back for a hot chocolate and was also great. Clean place and friendly service. Has some good souvenirs as does the post office a couple shops up. Nice kids park across the road.

Bloody awesome little town with the most friendly people we have met in a while food was great service excellent and the friendliest staff you could meet 😀

Was greeted straightaway by the workers and ordered food came out fast was fresh and delicious highly recommend trying here.

What a great find this diner was for me. Pulled into Milla Milla around the breakfast hour and drove to the end of the street looking to placate a rumbling belly.
Bonus for me was it is dog friendly dining outside so the hound could sit at the table.
Ordered a latte and bacon & eggs and was very impressed by the quality and quantity of the breakfast.
Great service topped of the dining experience.
Handy things to note is the more than ample parking even if you are towing and a beautiful park directly over the road with playground and amenities block.
The diner also has ample giftware that will give you some browsing time if so inclined.

Best meal I have had in cairns. Good quality of food with good price. Seafood basket is only $19 and steak burger is $13 !!!! I highly recommend Ruonrous dinner.👍👍👍👍

We have dropped into this lovely Cafe a few times now while travelling around Milla.

The food is always really nice and has great milkshakes and coffee.
It is very easy to find right in the middle of town.

We found this nice place during our trip to the waterfalls. (Which were beautiful!) It has new, really lovely owners, and is now called "Rumours Diner". When we got here in early november of 2019, it had only been open for about four weeks.

They serve good and healthy food. As the only vegan (and GF) person in the group, I got some delicious sweet potato fries (best I've eaten in Australia so far) and a salad. This was not on the menu, but they were more than happy to make it for me anyways.

The owner also told us that she wanted her place to be able to cater for everyone. There is a seperate fryer for glutenfree foods for example.

We really enjoyed our (late) lunch here! 😋
