Johnstone River lookout Walk

Didn't do the walk this time but when I did a while ago it was lovely. It is a difficult grade walk and good footwear is a must but the effort is well worth the walk!

It was a nice walk with some beautiful old trees along the way. At the end we were rewarded with a beautiful view of the river.

The track was fairly slippery and covered by leaves.

There was an option to continue for another 750m on an very steep gradient but we decided against it as it was a wet and slippery day. Up to that point the decent was not too steep and it was not too strenuous on the way back.

There was a warning that there were stinging leaves on the track. I was able to avoid touching any.

Great little walk! Took me just over 2hrs. I also did the optional 1.5km loop down to the river and took my time. It was also quite rainy so you could definitely do it quicker if you wanted. Track is well maintained and clear to follow. I didn't find it overly strenuous as the track winds back and forth across the mountainside. If you want to stop for a cuppa at the lookout like I did, I'd recommend carrying something to sit on as there are no options but to sit on a cleared piece of ground which was very wet. I didn't see another person the whole time I was there. Loved it. Beautiful views and some majestic trees.

We did the Johnstone river in 55 minutes (about 3.4km) there is a nice view of the meandering river. Make sure you take your walking shoes as it can be slippery on the wet leaves and roots. And bring water :)

Walk is definitely not to be done without closed in shoes with good grip, and a reasonable level of fitness. River was very pretty once you reach the bottom of the track

Not well sign posted and others said walk is not easy, so we didn't do it but you do get a view from the top where you pull your car off the road.

駐車場から見えるのはこれだけ、
遊歩道を歩いて行くともっとい言う景色が見えるようだがかなり距離がありそう。
