Saccharomyces Beer Cafe

I came here for the beer, which was incredible as expected. Really high quality selection across 17 taps, and the best dark ale I've ever had. Most beer cafes just do basic food, so I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised. The steak was cooked perfectly and the meat was of restaurant quality. The sample platter at $55 is exceptional value and would be enough to feed 2-3 people. I will definitely be back. I've found a new favourite

Great laid back atmosphere. Lee and his mate behind the bar very attentive and great sense of humours. Wonderful selection of craft beers and while only a short dinner menu, cooked to perfection. We just keep going back!

Large selection of beers and the food was amazing, so tasty! There's not a massive selection of food, but what they have, they make so so well! Much better than a million options of poor quality. I will definitely be coming back here!

Fantastic selection of beers and very knowledgeable staff. The bar has great beers in tap that regularly rotate as well as a extensive selection of cans from assorted breweries.

Food selection tastes good but you should expect to pay $25+.

Enjoyed a relaxed dinner here over a tasting tray and a very good steak meal. It was worthwhile ordering the salad as an extra to get some veges in the meal. Very good steak cooked to perfection. Relaxed vibe, friendly service without being over the top. Would come back here again.

The bar has a lovely design and amazing atmosphere, perfect to go for a friends/family meeting. They have a huge variety of tap beers and other bottled options, the perfect place you’re a beer lover… also the cocktails were very yumi!! The bartenders were all very kind to us and Vania was wonderful, best bartender ever!

Love this place! Unpretentious old orange brick pub embedded into Fish Lane, blink and you'll walk straight past it.

Beer range is excellent and changes weekly. Meals and platters are a twist on standard Pub fare - I think the main chef might be French? Apologies if my accent recognition is way off! Anyway, he's certainly a magician with food 🪄 Prices quite reasonable. Service is variable, depends who is on.

No aircon so avoid during heatwaves. Not really child friendly esp at night.

A long list of different and tasty beer. An assortment of good food, although these places are made through the company. Today's was great. A very knowledgeable barman who was able to steer us right. This place is a favourite for it allows you to explore more of Fish Lane.

Great range of beers, delicious food and lovely staff. You can't ask for much more! Oh yes you can... They also have a chill atmosphere and play great tunes to boot.

A truly fun time was had. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. My wife and I played several games of connect four between beers and delicious snack foods. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There was no pressure to drink and go, rather it's a great place just to kill a Saturday or Sunday afternoon with friends. Prices were on par with the area and drinks. Beers on tap were priced great for craft beers. Quite a few to choose from. Eftpos is graciously accepted.

Everything about this place was 10/10.
The friendly service, the food, the atmosphere and the cool venue which opens up nicely to the outside.

The baked Camembert was excellent, the fried chicken was just right, the baba ghanoush was nice, the fried potato chip wedge things were unique and absolutely delicious and the #1 favourite was the pumpkin dip.

And as can be seen, the presentation was also superb!

I found this place while looking for somewhere to eat and couldn't have been happier! The drinks on offer were excellent and the food even more so. My sole regret is that i only had time to eat there once!

Very popular bar for happy hour located at the Fish Lane in Brisbane. They have a wide selection of Belgian and Aistralian beers on draft. Very cozy ambiance. It gets crowded, so arrive early. Table reservarion is possible.

Visited on a Wednesday afternoon. Lovely secluded bar, huge variety of beers, a few English Brown Ales went down very well. Now the food, we had the Stew, probably the best stew I have had, the service was great too, very friendly bar tender with a wealth of knowledge on the beers.... We will definitely be back soon.

Fantastic menu, friendly staff. We’ve visited Saccharomyces at least a dozen times over their tenure on Fish Lane - never disappointed.Enjoyed our dinner so much that we stopped by the kitchen window to thank the chef.
