Fabulous winery with exceptional staff, wine and location. Setting is idyllic with beautiful tasting room, covered outdoors area and landscape. Amanda was incredibly kind, friendly and engaging, building instant rapport with guests as did Julie who was also friendly and engaging. Both extremely knowledgeable about the wines and wine industry. Highly recommend a visit to all and look forward to returning in the future. Thank you so much for making my experience amazing and memorable.

We ate at Ventners and tried Tomfoolery wine for lunch. Found out it was down the road and went to visit and try some wines. We just made it before closing and did a fast taste and bought a case of wine delivered to Melbourne.

Unreal experience today… the lovely lady , can’t remember her name , was amazing. She had so much knowledge of the history of the vines and grape variety. She sold us on nearly every bottle we tasted … outstanding wine too

Tomfoolery Wines was a standout on our wine tour. Julie hosted us and was a very friendly lady who shared all the wonderful stories behind the wines we tasted. I can’t wait for my box of wines to arrive and share them with my friends back home. Please do yourself a favour and add this winery to your list of places to visit!

We really enjoyed visiting Tom Foolery cellar door. The wine is superb. Jules was so welcoming & shared her extensive knowledge on their wine & local area. A must see if you are in the Barossa. Many thanks Andrea & Ash.

Amanda hosted us and was an absolute delight to have walk us through the wine flight. The wines we tried had great variety to suit our group. Amanda had great knowledge on the wines and this amplified the experience. Thank you for looking after us and going above and beyond for our visit. Highly recommend !

Had the honour of having our tasting held by one of the owners/wine makers, Chippy. The wines, as always, are without comparison or competition. The visitors from Melbourne we'd brought with us were blown away by the wines and walked away with quite a few bottles.
Stunning venue, even better wines.
Do yourself a favour and head to Tomfoolery for some of the best wines you'll ever taste.

Tomfoolery had been on my list since 2015 and I was finally lucky enough to visit for my Birthday this year. They’re often overlooked in the tourism brochures and rarely mentioned around town with the clichés of the Barossa and that’s what makes them standout. Ben is making stunning wines without pretension and has been since I first tried them out all those years ago. So much so I’ve just never forgotten the name. Our cellar door experience with Mandy was unforgettable. She is the star of the show and a beautiful person to meet along the way. It was such a pleasure to spend a couple of hours tasting and talking at long last. Can’t wait to come back in years to come!

What a wonderful experience. An extensive list which can be off putting as i have seen people try to do too much, not the case here. So many great wines served generously with knowledge and easter eggs. Some great whites to compliment a wonderful range of red wines from Eden and Barossa. Definitely worth a visit.

The wines were beautiful, i love going on boutique wineries one of my hobby is to go around barossa and find the hidden gems. I was passing by and was fortunate enough to see it and stopped by. I felt extremely guilty that i didnt have booking to do a tasting but the woman there made an adjustment, i wish she had the time to tell me a bit more about the wines as they were as wonderful as she was (and i love knowing about wines but she had guests, yet she tried her best). I dont drink white wine but loved the Riesling, i hope i didnt offend by saying just wanted to taste the reds after that. I will make booking next time and bring my father in law who loves my finds in barossa!

Fantastic experience, best tasting we have had in the barossa (and we’ve had a lot!). Both ladies were wonderful and wines were top notch. We will definitely be back!

Amazing wines and a terrific experience! We chanced upon Tomfoolery yesterday while driving around the Barossa and stopped for a tasting and a chilled out session in the garden. The lovely lady in the cellar door then offered for us to have a bit of a tour of the winery itself and we had the greatest, most informative experience! It was awesome to see what happens behind the scenes! Great spot and well worth a visit.

We stayed at Tomfoolery Winemakers Cottage in April 2021 and couldn't have enjoyed it more.
The cottage is spacious and beautifully fitted out with private gardens next to the cellar door and surrounded by the vineyard. It would meet the needs of any couple traveling to the region.
I hadn't anticipated enjoying the accommodation so much and wish we had had a bit more time on our trip to spend on site enjoy the property.
I found it to be very central to all the main attractions, stores, and wineries that we wanted to visit while in the region. You need a car, however, this is true of anywhere you stay within Barossa.
The owner Sarah was exceptional to deal with and clearly takes so much pride and effort in ensuring her guest have everything they need to enjoy their stay. So much consideration has gone into the products and food provided on-site.
I couldn't find any negatives or things that I would change about the cottage, the booking process, or our stay.
On top of the amazing accommodation, the Tomfooley cellar door and wines were an added bonus.
I am so grateful to Sarah for making our time so special - It was an Easter we won't forget.
I look forward to staying again in the future.
