Rang this person for emergency repair for a fridge belonging to a person with disability
Came without tools and asked for a sharp knife from client and proceeded to hack at the panel caps of freezer damaging the surrounding plastic...
When client queried the process and expressed concern about the damage to the fridge - he badgered client saying “it’s just the caps” despite damage extending beyond the caps.... client explained that they were very stressed by his actions (and lack of tools and whole cowboy attitude) he then said “there’s something wrong with you” to a person with a disability !
Left Client in tears with a damaged knife, and a now damaged Unrepaired fridge... and none the wiser...

We bought a second hand fridge from this shop while trading our old fridge. We had another fridge that we had the guy from GM Refrigeration Services look at and he said the issue we had was major and we should buy another fridge.

The fridge we got in return never properly functioned the way a fridge should. The freezer worked fine, but the refrigerator part was freezing our food at the bottom, and not getting products cold at the top. Over the course of 6 weeks we couldn't store any food in the fridge, and everything that needed refrigeration went off and had to be thrown out, or had to be thrown out because it had been frozen (fresh fruit and veg).

The guy from GM Refrigeration Services has tried to fix the fridge twice, without any result. We bought the fridge on the 22nd of August and by the 1st of October our fridge was still not usable. Ultimately we bought a new fridge, because going without a properly working fridge 5 weeks is bad enough. The fridge should be fixed or we wanted our money back.

Us having bought a new fridge obviously upset him. He was totally not understanding of the fact that we had to go without a fridge for so long, that we had to throw out our food repeatedly during that time, and that our household simply needs a properly working refrigerator. He kept saying that "the fridge works" because you plug it in and turns on. There was just no discussion possible with him about the fact that "yes, the fridge indeed response to electricity" but "no, it does not do its job".

He then wanted to charge us for damage that we had done, while this was a problem we had with the fridge from the beginning, he wanted to charge us for all the times he had to come out to repair the fridge, that he was making such a loss on this fridge and he should be reimbursed for his work. Overall, he doesn't seem to understand consumer rights and is absolutely a nightmare to deal with. GM Refrigeration Services should not be allowed to operate and run a dodgy practice like this.
