Australia Post - Leopold LPO

The team at Leopold LPO are super lovely. I am a philatelist and can be a little picky and they are super patient with my special requests. I send ALOT of postcards internationally and 95% of the time my mail arrives at its destination when I send from the postbox at Leopold or from the LPO. This is very unique because if I send my postcards from a different postbox or post office my mail may arrive 80% of the time. Maybe the route is looked after better by the team travelling from Leopold? Either way I enjoy the friendliness of the team and their care when I visit.

Visited Leopold post office 08/05/2023 at approximately 4pm
The older lady was absolutely amazing, she allowed me to deposit a large amount of small denomination coins into my bank account to help avoid some financial difficulties without fuss, even though they were very busy at the time. She was so compassionate helpful and caring. I really appreciated the help and customer service she offered me and allowed me to deposit the coins whereas the Newcomb post office were the complete opposite.
Tge lasy would not would not allow it and were very rude and dismissive and caused much unnecessary stress and humiliation, telling me that they could not count the coins even though they were already counted and sorted into separate denominations and bagged appropriately. Then telling me they would have to charge a fee to count the coins after already stating they couldn't count them! Newcomb were so damn rude and I will not be returning there! It was a pleasure being served by her today. Unfortunately I didn't catch the ladies name at Leopold but I would like to thank her from the bottom of my heart. Undoubtedly a true asset to the Leopold post office.

I have a postbox here, and regularly post items overseas to my daughter from here as well as postcards.
Ting and the team are super friendly and helpful, remember my name and have a chat.
Not sure why all the negativity in terms of reviews. Granted some of the reviews are 4 years old, but those who work there now are great.

Good quiet shop

Staff provided incorrect information asking me to return with different documents, when I returned with exactly what was asked for they wanted different documents again. Inconsistent advice and not helpful staff.

Went to pick up a parcel with missed delivery slip. Informed , not back yet with driver. Being a Friday, said I’d pick up the following day. Can’t do that, we’re closed. Asked why? It’s a public holiday. We’re allowed a day off aren’t we? This last bit with heavy sarcasm, bordering on rudeness. Typical of aus post any way. Hopeless.

i wish I could give a better review but they are chronically understaffed which affects the service. random closures around xmas time to cope with the volume of parcels was highly inconvenient, heard lots of people complaining.Again today, no indication online that the shop is closed. Had to drive into town to send off a parcel. Not sure why you can t hire a casual worker to deal with the increased workload around this time of the year.

An error occurred resulting in an expensive parcel being left at this PO while delivery address is in another state. Not this PO fault. But, the unhelpful man I rang lied that the parcel wasn’t there and he knew nothing about it. Likely didn’t even check tracking number I gave him. AusPost able to determine the parcel was there. Glad I won’t ever have to deal with this waster ever again.

Awful woman behind the counter. I was waiting in line and couldn't help but notice how terribly she treats the customers. I asked her a simple question and she nearly bit my head off. Will never go back there, I'll stick to the Portarlington post office, much nicer people to deal with.

Very rude and abrupt staff member who gave me incorrect information, charged me postage to return an item which should have been free, then refused a refund when their colleague realised the mistake. Will NEVER use this post office again!

The old lady is rude while the younger staff are nice.
If you hate you job so much at 65 quit.. don't take it out on people enjoying their day
