This was a really nice, comfortable and clean cabin. It had everything we needed, a cook top, water kettle, fridge. We brought the food we needed and were set for the time we were there. We had Wallaby's in the yard! The Laughing Kookaburras laughed at us when arrived. It was really beautiful. I will stay here again! It was an amazing little place!

"Loma Cottages on Bruny Island offer a tranquil escape amidst stunning natural surroundings. The cottages are cozy, well-equipped, and impeccably clean. The host “ Leo” was very friendly and attentive, ensuring a memorable stay. Perfect for a peaceful retreat in Tasmania's wilderness!" Getting there can get tricky but it is Surely very Private location amongst the wildlife and good location for a Stroll .

My favourite place to stay when visiting bruny island.

You essentially stay in a cottage detached from other cottages.

My experience was cozy and peaceful. My cottage was next to a tree line so my partner and I were visited by a group of adorable wallabies too.

We stayed at Loma Cottages from the 5th to the 9th of January 2024, and as always it was perfect.

It is in Lunawanna, on the quiet side of Bruny Island, so away from all the crazy busy tourist accommodation but still with plenty to see and a short drive to visit everything else. This is our 5th time at Loma Cottages and we will be back. They are perfectly kitted out, spotlessly tidy and clean, surrounded by visiting wildlife and look out to Little Taylor Bay. Our hosts, Hannu and Katrina were as always helpful and responsive, a delight to deal with and help their guests to discover and enjoy the real Bruny Island.

Speaking of which, during cricket season head to the local cricket club and enjoy one of Dave’s ‘real coffees’ (the best on Bruny Island) and if there’s a game on stay to watch. We did, and it was an experience we will never forget.

Beautifully remote and quiet place to stay. Cottage was well equipped and had plenty of space and light. Just a short work to a picturesque bay.

It was a clean and comfortable cabin for a short stay at Bruny Island. Quiet and peaceful. Daily greetings by the wildlife. Close to the bay.

Hannu and Katrina hosted us for 1 night during 2019 Xmas when we missed the last ferry back to Hobart and couldn't find anyplace to stay. We genuinely thanks them for providing their wonderful house, snack and patting their lovely dog. We were taking two young children at that time and we will for sure one day book Loma and meet with this great couple again. :).

What a cute little cottage and set up! It was beautiful walking up in the morning to a roo looking for breakfast. Bathroom was very tidy, bed was comfortable and the cooking facilities weren't the best but you could get away with it. The hosts were very informative and welcoming. They called me the day before and told me to get shopping and fill up on petrol before I got there which I think was very professional. They also came out to welcome me as I drove in so thank you very much for that. I stayed for the nights and it was very peaceful to be able to hear your own thoughts. I'd recommend this place to anyone. 😁

Wonderful place to stay. I can see the owner put a lot of effort in it and we definitely had a good time there. Probably the best cottage we have ever stayed. Thank you!

Spent a couple of nights here and absolutely loved it. Katrina and Hannu are great hosts and provide a very high standard of accommodation. The cottages are very modern, super clean, and well appointed with all the things you need to be self sufficient. Beautiful location with the bay a short stroll down the hill, fresh wild oysters everywhere when the tide is out.

We had two nights in one of the Loma Cottages. Our hosts were very helpful with tips on where to go on Bruny Island. The cottage was absolutely spotless, the furnishings were in the best taste and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the little touches, such as board games made left in the cottage for visitors to enjoy. We would certainly be recommending anyone visiting the island to stay here.

First time we saw an echidna in the wild, just in front of our cottage. Katrina and Hannu did a great job in maintaining the cottages. Everything is sparkling clean and looks new. For the kitchenware, whatever you need, it is there. Will definitely stay there again.

Perfect cottages, well fitted out with everything you would expect/want, extremely clean and welcoming. Great location, view of Daniels Bay thru the trees was lovely. Central to all of southern Brunys locations. Katrina and Hannu were great hosts, and have done an amazing job with the 4 cottages. Thanks for a great stay.

Easy self-checkin and checkout. Very quiet location. Plus a kitchenette with a stovetop, small oven, and all the implements you need meant we didn't have to starve on an island where (almost) everything is closed by 5pm!

These cottages are not very good they are outstanding. Extremely well appointed and spotless. Worth much more than the tariff, but don't tell the owners. The Only thing missing is the maid to do the dishes

Very cozy and tidy commendation, you can basically get everything you need here, even the spry oil and coffee machine. In the morning we saw 5 wallabies just in front of the window!

Very tidy and new cottages. Probably too late now but with families it would be of tremendous value to have a dishwasher & clothes washer etc.
