Buckland Inn

We made a pit drink stop just to enjoy the ambience of on the the five oldest pubs in Tasmania and it lived up to its description allowing us to "Sit and relax beside the wood fire and experience the old world charm of the Inn dating back to the early 1800'". Nice brief experience. .

Nice local pub with good meals and free camping out back on a nice paddock. Go in to say hi to Peter if camping on the field. There are "pub meals" every night 5-8pm plus an additional "dinner menu" on Friday and Saturday nights from 6-8pm. Had the steak sandwich from the pub meal on Thursday night and it was absolutely amazing and the Chicken Parm on Friday was delicious.

I camped in the paddock behind the pub for two nights and had dinner in the bar each night.
The company of the barman (John) and the locals was much appreciated, as were the meals (a fantastic steak and a very good chicken schnitzel). I look forward to a return visit.

A must do place when I pick anyone up from the Airport. Pop in for a beer and if I'm lucky, buy a 5kg bag of Pink Eyes or King Edwards, $9. In Winter they sell bags of Woodsdale Swedes for around $5, for 3 good size ones! 👍

Beautiful quaint old pub.

Beers were cold and the service was welcoming. Rolled swags out back, manager was very accommodating.

Friendly staff, very accommodating. Allowed us to park our campervans behind the pub for the night. Had a warm fire, juke box and pool table, drinks, food good company.

Great little place with super friendly staff that knows their hospitality. Nice to relax with a cold beer in hand! Camping out the back will not disappoint. Thanks a million

Good beer and friendly people

Fantastic country pub, scotch fillet and beef schnitzel were great. Definitely worth a stop for dinner or a beer.

Just the atmosphere is worth the visit. Such friendly locals and the barmaid Belinda is beautiful and and efficient. A great asset to the business.

I've only used their backyard to spend the night before driving to Hobart. Nice big place with toilets near by.

Had a beautiful chicken parmigiana and the staff were very helpful and friendly will go back again
