As a Cambodian student living in Melbourne, Tang Supermarket has become my go-to haven for all things Asian snacks and groceries. This grocery store has the most amazing range of instant noodles from different Asian countries. You can also get Asian ingredients that you won't find in a standard store.

Large selection of Asian products. If you're looking for Malaysian delights, this is a good place to find them - have found things I couldn't find in other Asian stores here such as 3 in 1 Milo satchets, fish curry pastes, 3 in 1 cereal drinks etc. Pricing is very reasonable, definitely one of the cheaper ones in the area. They have a loyalty program too if you're going to be a regular.

Tang is an excellent Asian supermarket with the best range of specialty Asian produce I have found in Melbourne. The staff are friendly and helpful. Whenever I want to find Japanese products, sake or even some Korean Soju, Tang is always my first and last stop.

I have been in love with this place for years and even more so since their renovation. Tangs is THE place to go in Melbourne if you want authentic Asian ingredients and once you start cooking with authentic ingredients you’ll be hooked. Photos below are some of my favourite ingredients I can find at Tangs and have a hard time finding elsewhere. It is always extremely busy with long lines, but don’t let that scare you off! Long lines are a sure sign of perfection and the staff there are experts on moving people through quickly so the lines move extremely fast!

Love this store, so many unique products that you can't find elsewhere. I always end up buying too much and walking out with heaps of of goodies.

This is the place you come to if you want authentic ingredients and foods from Asia. They specialise in Chinese ingredients. Chinese or Chinese-background international students come here when they need to get supplies from back home.

They also display great cultural awareness. In my photos, you'll see they have 粽子 (zongzi) for sale. It's for the Dragon Boat Festival. They put these right at the front of the store because of it's cultural importance.

TANG is one of the best Asian groceries in the Melbourne CBD.

I love this place and always visit when I'm in Melbourne. Decent prices and good specials.

Also a more limited but very appreciated selection of asian beauty products.

Mostly frozen, dry and chill items. Drinks are often on special.

Well stocked store. Found the ingredients for dashi stock - other stores I checked did not have it.

Always so well stocked with all sorts of snacks and noodles. Well priced too for a CBD grocer.

Excellent range of Asian groceries and alcohol including Korean, Japanese, and Chinese products.

My friend visit this shop few times and he was so happy about the product and service. He loves the peanuts.

Tang has pretty much everything you need from an Asian grocery; you'll find a very broad selection of goods from all over South East Asia, Japan, Korea, China, and more. They also have high quality Jasmine rice for both everyday eating and sushi.

Additionally you'll find the best selection of Soju behind the counter at very good prices, with a healthy choice of various Asian beers on the shelf near the counter.

They have almost an entire wall dedicated to packet noodles too, so if you need your noodle stash restocked, this is the place to go. Huge variety there.

When browsing, things tend to be sectioned based on their nation of origin, with Japanese stuff being mostly concentrated in one area, same goes for Korean.

Also they're open late. I love this place. Enjoy!
