A special thank you to the staff for going above and beyond to ensure we had a table for breakfast, as they don't make reservations, this was amazing service. It's such a great atmosphere with delicious food and a very personable level of staff. Special thank you from Shilo, our dog, for the filtered water 😊

This cafe is amazing!!! The food is absolutely delicious, and the coffee is perfection. I had the mushroom focaccia for breakfast, was so good we went back the next morning and I had the scrambled special…sooo so good! Highly recommend this place!

We were so glad we waited despite the long queue (30-40mins). We had the kingfish, the granola bowl, and the mushroom foccacia - everything was delicious! Will definitely be back the next time we’re in Byron.

Great place to come for brunch. Very popular so if you come for brunch be prepared to wait for a seat. Loved their hot and cold house filter coffee. Fresh and delicious ingredients. Pretty cool vibe, pieces of local art for sale on the walls. Definitely worth getting to for the food, coffee and vibe.

We had a range of items and drinks from Bayleaf during our stay. There are many vegan and vegetarian options as you’d probably expect. I’m neither but found myself ordering options that were because they sounded / looked so good.

Will definitely return.

We use blackboard coffee beans here. I ordered a flight. The flight is piccolo, filter coffee, and coconut condensed milk coffee. All tasted very delicious. Also, the avocado toast was delicious. I thought it was a cute cafe perfect for breakfast. The staff were all smiling and nice. It's a place I would like to visit again.

The food was both yummy and healthy, and they totally aced the food presentation. Gotta give a shoutout to the awesome coffee too. Despite the crowd, the service held up well. If you're up for a solid breakfast, this place comes highly recommended! 😋

This cafe is just filled with such good vibes all the staff are so friendly and just so happy. The food was amazing the best smashed avo I have had and the coffee was amazing!!! I felt so happy after leaving with the good food and amazing service!!! Make sure you check it out while in Byron 😄

This is the type of cafe you'd expect when you visit Byron Bay.

It may not be for everyone, but if you're into chilling out with great tunes (no abusive music), a selection of really good coffees and a menu that provides for most people, then this is what you're looking for.

No virtue signalling or any of that, just a great atmosphere and smiling happy staff - which is always a good sign of a well run business.

I had the poached eggs on sour dough - and I'll tell you what, I'd almost forgotten what real sour dough was - this one was incredible. It came out within 5 minutes and was absolutely amazing. Even the fresh butter looked like it had just been churned.

They really know what they are doing here and it won't cost you a new mortgage like some of the other 'Look at me' cafes do.

Definitely the best place for breakfast in Byron! We were greeted warmly and even though the place was busy, there was no problem finding the three of us a table. Promptly water was brought and our coffees were ordered. I had the best brewed chai that I can remember having. The quality of the food was excellent- all three of our group were so happy with their choices, including one gluten-free person who was impressed with the options. The service was consistently friendly and prompt and the atmosphere in the cafe is cool. A wide range of people having great food and catch ups. Highly recommend this place and I'll be back next time I'm in Byron.

Definitely the best cafe we visited on our Byron trip. Service was amazing, staff are very friendly and attentive. Had the kingfish ceviche on toast. It was simple but fresh and full of flavour. The coconut cold brew was a great way to start the day and def the highlight. Loved that it’s infused with the brew rather than just cold brew added with coconut cream/milk like some of the other places. Loved that it’s simple but full of flavour. Hate those places that add toasted coconut flakes that leave a bad after taste. Will be back soon!

Delicious brekkie and coffee!! The banana bread with passionfruit honey is so tasty - highly recommend. And the waitress and chefs were so friendly to our little bub. We loved our visit here.

Bayleaf is a go-to for delicious food and professional service for me and my family. My waiter Meg (tall very attractive person with cool hair) was so lovely to me and my son. Thank you for serving us Meg and making our breakfast experience so nice despite it being really busy ~ you managed everything so well. We were impressed!!!!!

What a great spot to have breakfast. This place ticks ALL the boxes. Great coffee, delicious breakfast options, exceptional service and a super chill vibe. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the cheeky breakfast Bloody Mary was sooooo good! Definitely recommend this place

The best spicy chai latte I had with chilli flakes and pepper. Excellent yoghurt granola and delicious avocado toast. Quality ingredients. Happy tummy 😋

Possibly the best brunch we’ve ever had. Coffee was phenomenal (guess it has to be for $9 😅).

Burger was super crispy and fresh but not oily. The coconut chili mussels were definitely our favourite - packed with flavor and a thick slice of sourdough on the side.

Pet friendly and while there is a wait, it is worth it 😍

Food looks better than it tastes 😅 I mean, it’s ok but not delicious. I think is missing a little bit of “love flavour”….

Really lovely little cafe. Food was beautifully presented, menu was thoughtfully put together and the cafe had a really nice vibe. Lots of people chatting with friends, friendly staff, busy enough to be lively but not too busy that you were waiting ages or felt squashed in.

Loved this cafe. We went twice in 3 days! Such a unique menu that was also REALLY delicious. I wanted to eat everything my husband ordered! We had the heirloom tomatoes- so fresh. Tuna brown rice salad - great flavours, textures and zing. Fry boys dumplings were so flavourful! Service was top notch too. Worth the wait but you can just walk around the shops a bit and come back.
