Orford Blue Waters Hotel

A big thanks to Liam and Leah and all the staff
for making us welcome.
We stayed in a king room very clean - thanks room attendant.
This hotel is a gem with it's own restaurant.
I booked it over the phone (after 9am) and received an
email confirmation straight away.
It's not very well sign posted so you could sail right past.
My advice is stay there to refresh at the bar and food then
a comfy bed.
There is a small council playground out back but also an
access road so keep an eye on the little ones

Great lunch stop while traveling up the coast. The fish tacos are excellent and the fries out of this world. Our server was delightful—sweet and funny.

Great location within easy walking distance of estuary, beach and river. Easy location for food and the shops too. Staff were very friendly and fitted us in last minute. Room was clean and great to have a couch as well as table/chairs and seats in our King room.

I stayed here before exploring Maria Island. I'd say the best hotel I stayed in Tasmania. It's a humble and clean hotel, but yet they're offering luxurious experience. If you're a morning person, wake up before the sunrise and walk behind the hotel to catch the sunrise with Maria Island in the background. Amazingly stunning. Thanks to friendly staff who helped me to secure my wallet when I accidentally misplaced it, you're the best!

A short drive from Hobart Airport, you will find this motel.
Rooms basic but very clean and with everything needed for an overnight stop. Lovely waterside walk.

Orford has been my paradise for as long as i can remember. Blue Waters has great rooms, very extensive menu and drinks to select from. Lots of open space, decks etc. Great staff, all with happy smiles led by the great licensee Greg Brown. Thoroughly recommend

The staff were friendly and efficient. The meals were delicious! Situated in a beautiful town, with great views from the dining room.

Stopped off to have a meal. The location is great with the dining room looking out to the water. The food was lovely, service great. Being a hotel they have all the usual facilities. Would I go there again sure would.

Spent a couple of nights here as a base to visit Maria Island. Our room was clean, well appointed and gave us a brilliant view of the water. Bar, dining room, gaming area, all look newly renovated. Food was excellent with a good local wine selection. All in all a great place to stay.

Great to see that the Orford Blue Waters has lost all of the 80's shades of blue (outside and inside). The rooms were fresh, nicely presented and larger than expected. We were on a cycling tour and staff went out of their way to provide equipment to assist us with servicing our bicycles. The views of the river are superb (from both the dining & hotel rooms prior to sunset) and the pub meals were all well received.

Great place to stay on the east coast. Rooms have been recently renovated, and are immaculate. Beautiful food in the restaurant. Quiet and private, with great parking. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Big thank you to Carrie who manages the accommodation who made our stay wonderful 🤩

Convenient location rooms all ground floor view over park to water. Very clean cabin style room with small deck and outside table and chairs. Good value friendly staff. Hotel meals very good. Will go again good value.

Nice country pub. Good pub food, helpful and friendly staff and a nice view. I particularly liked that the serving staff helped us move to a larger table when we were a bit cramped at our original one, and that they advised us that the seafood platter for two would probably be enough for the three of us (it certainly was).

Travelling through & noticed meals 7 days @ wk, what a delightful experience, great food & customer service.

The exterior of this beachside hotel belies the newly renovated interior. The staff were friendly and courteous and the menu was extensive enough to cater for most tastes. My scotch fillet was cooked as I ordered, was extremely tender and had great flavour. The salad was fresh and appealing. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and recommend to others.

Had a great stay. Room was clean and comfy.
