Portside Seafood Restaurant

A genuine family restaurant that had Italian feel. Excellent quality seafood that was cooked beautifully. These are the sort of meals you get when you visit your Italian grandmother. Just fantastic. The waitress and chef were lovely. We will definitely be back!

Yum! Beautiful thick pieces of fish nicely cooked by the water. Crumbed red emperor and battered snapper here. Snapper was deliciously thick and great texture. Squid & calamari was beautifully cooked with butter-lemon-salty crumb on the [I think] calamari. Both were 👌 definitely worth a visit

We celebrated Father’s Day early with a Saturday lunch. Our group of 12 was treated to the most delicious seafood…whether fish,scallops, prawns or calamari it was all served beautifully. The 90 + guest of honour was very impressed with the whole experience too. What a little gem!….and such a great location, warm and friendly staff. We will return 👌

What a wonderful find. Looking for a quick lunch, we happened upon Portside. A lovely marina outlook coupled with perfectly cooked seafood served simply with a great salad. Small but good winelist saw us choose a very nice Italian pilot grigio. Highly recommended.

Lovely little seafood restaurant. Friendly talkative staff, decent selection of fish and seafood all cooked nicely with light and crispy coatings. Great position on the marina.

Amazing Location and Superb fresh seafood
Had heard a lot of positive feedback and finally made it to Portside today for lunch.
Stunning location overlooking the water and marina and being seated on the outside covered deck area was perfect.
Great service and the food was the best, good selection and really fresh.
We will definitely be back.

Portside is a hidden gem. Sad to hear that progress is catching up with her and her old age charm is going to get a Facelift soon. edit 10/6/2021 Even after the facelift she hasn't lost her charm. Everyone we take there, takes someone else next time. No one has been disappointed yet.

Excellent service, fantastic food. Walked in without a reservation, admittedly not a super busy night, but accommodated with a table immediately. Waitress was super friendly & knowledgeable, even recommending an Italian restaurant in the local area for us to try. Food was fantastic, light, flavourful & filling. The scallops were devine. Will definitely be back to sample the rest of the menu. Will be recommending to everyone I know.

A magnificent find. ...menu was well balanced with many choices. Carol (owner) was very pleasant and friendly to everyone whilst she greeted, served and cooked. Definitely will return and definitely worth more than 5 stars...Outstanding experience

Lovely quiet location on the water at Kawana Marina. Well-priced and varied menu (not just seafood). Meals came out quickly and both were well sized and delicious. Service was also very good. Will definitely eat here again.

Another fantastic meal at Portside with excellent staff. They went above & beyond to get my grand-daughter's rattle (that she threw in herself) retrieved from the water.

I've been here several times over the years. The seafood has always been very good for both dining in or takeaway.
