Always hit the spot for an italian family restaurant treat. Granted I’m not Italian, and I haven’t been to many Italian places, but Ciao Italia is perfect for my palate.

Delicious, full of flavour, generous serving. Amazing vibe too. Feel like you’re at someone’s home and the whole extended relatives is coming for a feast.

Definitely recommend this spot. One of the legend of South Perth establishments.

The place doesn’t take reservations - expect wait times of about 20-30 minutes at peak. Recommend you aim to head in around when they open at 5pm so that you could be seated right away

Recommend you don’t use the designated parking next to the restaurant as you could end up getting stuck by having someone park behind your car. While some leave their numbers in the dashboard, there are idiots who don’t.

Food is consistently good, which explains the place always being full. We have tried a variety of dishes in the past but have now settled on Bruschetta, Spaghetti Marinara, and Pizza (Veronese being a favourite). It is obvious that the chilli mussels are very popular, with it featuring on several tables every time we go. Have found that non-pasta or pizza dishes were not as good from experience (mussels aside as we haven’t tried those)

As for desserts both the tiramisu and strawberry tart are great. Tried the cheesecake in the past and it was just okay.

All in all an excellent restaurant with quality food, generous portions - definitely value for money.

Ciao Italia is the most authentic Italian restaurant in Perth, was better than most restaurants we had visited in Italy.

They have the best tiramisu, pizzas & pastas in Perth, any day!! My family's been their customer for 16 years & never come across a friendlier bunch of people serving the most authentic & consistent quality Italian food.

this place is amazing, their food tastes real and delicious!! amazing customer service, and the atmosphere was very cozy and authentic. when we got here there was a line outside the door, people waiting for ciao italia to open.

Highly popular restaurant Italian restaurant in Perth. Overall, the food was wonderful and service was quick. The place is always packed, filled with many people. You may have to wait in line during peak hours.

Been meaning to review since I've come before. Absolutely my favourite Italian place in Perth.
Amazing quality of food, with VERY generous portions. You're never going to feel skimped on, from the appetizers to desserts.
Pizzas can take a little while to come out compared to the Pastas but every bite is worth it :)
No reservations, and not a lot of parking so get there early when it opens because queues will start forming even if they move fast

Highly recommend all the desserts, the Burrata Pizza was so fresh and amazing, and the Penne Arriabata.

I only got pictures of the desserts because we tucked into our mains too quickly.

This has to be one of our absolute favourite restaurant in Perth. This is a family owned Italian restaurant that is hugely popular among everyone in the city. They don't accept reservations and there is usually a wait outside. The place remains closed on Tuesdays. The staff is very courteous, patient and professional. They allow customers to bring their own alcohol and even serve wine glasses. They have the best pastas, pizzas and sea food. I highly recommend their dishes- Ciao Italia, Calzone Pizza and Bruscetta. The most popular dish from this place however is their Tiramisu which is absolutely delicious. The quantities they serve is also huge and often most people carry takeaway boxes with the leftover food.

Really busy Italian restaurant with one of my favourite menu. My favourite is squid ink pasta with a good proportion and size! Will always return again for my squid ink pasta . They also have many wonderful variety options and choices of pasta! No need to say this, but their pizzas are amazing! Recommend so much!

However, it's a small restauarant so it's really crowded. I think they need to expand it into a bigger restuarant with more seats!

The best Italian food ever. The Tiramisu is a must have, giving us the satisfaction in taste. Thumbs up for the pizza and pasta, can never go wrong in any of their food.

The feel is very Italian.
It's very popular so we went as soon as it opened at 5pm.

Service is very prompt and food starts getting served about 10 minutes after the order is taken.

Good to see the owner around still welcoming guests.

Went there saturday afternoon around 5.30pm and already queue up for one hour. Food was nice. Limited parking, but can always park on the sideway.

I can say that this is one of the best Italian foods in the surroundings. Very crowded.. I don't think you can make a reservation. You have to come and put your name on the list. But it is very fast..is not that long for me to wait. Foods and services are so great.

Ciao Italia never disappoints ✨ Their pastas are phenomenal with very generous portions and their tiramisu is to die for. The chilli mussels are also a must try and good as a sharing dish if you’re with a group.

During my stay in Perth, I found the best tiramisu at this place. Even though your stomach is full, it doesn't change the enjoyment of the tiramisu at this place in the slightest. I like it very much.

Very big portions filled with great quality ingredients. The staff is so helpful! They give cold water for free.

It’s a very busy place. Arrived at 5.01pm right at opening time and the carpark is full! Had to look for a parking spot in the vicinity. It got busy real quick, I was thankful we got a seat early and quick. Pretty cramped on the inside, the air was pretty warm and stale, however food was good 👍🏼😋 portion was huge and I see many people walking out with leftovers in boxes. We did that too with our pasta, if I didn’t get it wrong they charge $0.50 for a box. Tiramisu is awesome, I had the original one, and was so filled I couldn’t try another flavour. Definitely recommend a visit if you’re in the vicinity!

Food was great and the portions were huge. We ordered the Porcini pizza, the mussels and the squid ink pasta. We were stuffed but got tiramisu to go. Their tiramisu is absolutely amazing.

We waited about 45 mins for a table on a Sunday night. Restaurant can be pretty packed so expect to be seated pretty close to a stranger.

Generally nice Italian food for families and even big groups! Enjoyed the pizza, carbonara and marinara!
