Dine in using washable containers, great work! Curry rice prerty spicy. Fried chicken n spawn n tofu pretty good. Miso soup is great. Enjoy your foods here.

Had a delicious Karaage chicken after awhile and the yummiest I’ve tried ever. I substituted mayo for sour cream and lady in the front was very accommodating. So happy with the whole experience. Will definitely be there again to try noodles which looks yummy in photos.

I honestly forgot to take photos. That statement by itself should tell you what you need to know, but if you want more than that then I have what you want.

The food, or at least the dishes I have tried, have been fantastic in terms of presentation and taste. The serving sizes are also fantastic, easily on par with or surpassing other Japanese restaurants. As a side note, my father constantly complains about me saying that food isn't spicy when he burns his mouth from the spice/curry present, so please beware that some foods may be a bit spicy.

The service is efficient and friendly, as expected of a family type restaurant. I don't know what more to say, I'm not exactly social myself so I can't say much more than I appreciated the efficiency and friendliness that was shown to me.

As for the atmosphere, quite frankly the inside is nicely decorated and very cozy while the outside is spacious and almost isolated from the rest of the shops present nearby. It is a nice area for lunch and from what I've seen during the dinner times, it is also a very good spot for dinner.

Overall, if you're in the area and want some good Japanese food of not only good quality but also quantity, then this place is your only choice. Simultaneously because it is the only Japanese restaurant I know of that is in the vicinity, but also because it is honestly just really good.

Super great value, authentic Japanese food. Good service, the cashier was really lovely. Highly recommend - I just wish they did an Aburi sushi bowl!
Note: not much seating area due to mainly being takeaway.

This is the best Japanese food we have every eaten. Very good value and even includes a free drink. Perfect portion size and friendly staff. If you love great food, this is a must have for lunch.

Best Japanese Chicken Curry ever?

As an avid chicken curry fan, I’ve eaten at many different establishments. No one comes close to Karakusa Japanese Restaurant.

Absolutely delicious, quality food, with generous portions and cheap compared to competitors.

The variety of dishes we ordered were all delicious. Good serving size and great takeaway quality (survived the trip home beautifully). Shop was busy at pickup but service still very good.

All of the meals are made fresh, and you never get served cold meat like other restaurants. The best of it all is they have meal deals for very affordable prices where you can get a drink as well. Other restaurants often make you pay around $5 for just a can. The best meal and I always recommend it is the Katsu Chicken Donburi.

Love the food here. It's not fast food, be prepared to wait for quality - it's delicious. Loads of options on the menu. Would be good to see more sugar free soft drink options.

Been visiting this small restaurant for years. Enjoyed their food for so long but never thought about to post a review on google. The food is outstanding... maybe not the best on earth but when you also take in consideration of the price, this is so called “value for money”. Even though the price hiked in the past year but still on the top of my lunch list. Keep up the good work lads!!!!!!!!!!

I always have the gyudon (beef bowl) from here and it's hands down the best gyudon I've had in Brisbane. It just has so many different textures and flavours in the bowl like a sprinkle of shallots, a dollop of mayo, two types of pickles (ginger and radish) and the egg is a bit on the runnier side to mix in with the beef. Highly recommend visiting this place and highly recommend the beef bowl. Good for price as well because drink is included.

Very nice meals. Felt like it was homely cooked meals. Felt like the gyozas were made there. It was different from other restaurants that serves gyozas and it tasted a lot better.

Ordered yakisoba chicken and it was delicious. Noodles was amazing and the flavours were great. A must try and very recommend to come and try. Amazing customer service.

Run by genuine Japanese, lovely people. Food is always great been many times. Last time I went they made a mistake with mixing up my order with another customer but they handled it amazingly. They were very apologetic, were quick to make my meal despite being very busy😊, took an extra 5 minutes, then even offered me my money back. I did not accept, hopefully they are around for a while as I see places come and go alot😕

Best lunch meal you could ever have. I Eat the Japanese curry about 4 times a week and it is unmatched. Free drink with your meal as well, what else could you ask for. Number 1 spot in coopers / Salisbury

I tried their Beef Gyu-don with egg. This is a simple and common Japanese dish. But this place have honestly the best beef gyu-don I ever tasted that I straight up bought a second take away after trying the first. The price is also very fair and comes with a drink
