The Joint Space | Dr Philip Rowell & A/Prof Scott Sommerville

I was under the care of the public health system after a serious accident and was unclear on my future due to the many doctors I was seeing, some of them with conflicting advice.

I booked in privately to see Dr Rowell to get his specialist opinion on my current situation and his opinion on what my future expectations should be and am so pleased that I did.

Dr Rowell reviewed the clinical notes and imaging and then saw me in his rooms. I was very pleased to hear Dr Rowell report that the Drs at the public hospital have done a great job. The support and guidance Dr Rowell gave to me and my family in our time of uncertainty was amazing.

I found Dr Rowell to be extremely professional, thorough and he took the time to answer my questions in a way that I was able to understand. He was both quite frank and “straight down the line” with his assessment while also being “human” - caring, empathetic and respectful.

As well as his review of the medical information prior to the consult and the consultation itself, he also wrote a report for my GP and contacted the hospital where I had the surgeries done. There was a lot of work done “behind the scenes” that I am grateful to him for.

To get this service from such a highly trained professional is amazing value.

I highly recommend anyone considering an orthopaedic specialist to consider the services offered by Dr Rowell.
