Thai Ginger Express is one of my all time favourite restaurants in Brisbane. I love their Chicken Pad Thai and Red Curry but I highly recommend the satay stir-fry, the satay sauce is to die for! Definitely my go to Thai place when I'm in the mood for takeaway!

The Thai red curry is my favourite, soo good! Their tofu is really good (if you’re vegan like yours truly) and spring rolls/ curry puffs are amazing too! Definitely recommend :)

Overall food was good. Ordered and paid extra for chicken cashew nut but got vegetarian instead. Being open earlier than a lot of other places was helpful.

I have had food from here a few times now, each time I've had the 'Bangkok Pack (2 people)' for $25.90. Each time was takeaway as this is a dark kitchen. The pick up for locals is straight forward once you know what to do. When you enter you go to the tablet on the wall and select the establishment and your name and it will tell you a grid number that is the cupboard your food is waiting in. All good there and saves paying Uber a third of what the meal costs.

Food quality has varied a bit, but during the Fri/Sat/Sun dinner periods I've found the quality to be great, although when I get home I do throw in a splash of fish sauce to jazz it up a little. Curry puffs were also excellent.

As for the cost, I would say its a tad expensive for what it is. It says 'for two', but you get a 500ml container of curry and a 500ml container of rice + two spring rolls and two curry puffs. I'm a 65kg dude and I finish most of this by myself, with a small snack for the next day left over. If this was enough for you to actually feed two people for the price, then it would be my go-to Friday night meal. $12.95 each for two entrées and a curry with a stroll up the road to pickup would be impossible for anything on Uber eats to beat. But if my wife also wants a decent sized meal then we'll probably be ordering elsewhere.

In summary, if the meals were larger it would be 5-stars value for money.

Satay sticks very good, pad Thai gluggy and not good flavour

Considering I payed extra for a large rice and received this is ridiculously small portion (pen for scale), can only imagine how tiny the normal size would be. Also the Tom Yum is super super super salty. Roti was a bit on the small size. Would of thought $30 would of gotten me at least a half filling dinner.

Not a good option for lunchtime orders - I was forced to wait in the collection area (which was designed for delivery drivers not customers) for over 30 mins after the estimated ready time, so my team missed out on eating lunch today. At least they'll have cold takeaway for dinner. The order was also incorrect (one of the entrees was missing) and the meat in the Beef Salad was purple-grey (boiled or microwaved?). Perhaps staff shortages are causing some problems with this takeaway. Other reviewers seem to have had better experiences, so perhaps I just ordered on the wrong day.

Have been here a few times. Pick-up order is not easy for general people - made for ubereats style collections. Also the Tom yum is the worst I've ever had. The meals were very small sizes too, especially comparatively to other restraunts.

I got basil stir fry w rice through doordash and the rice was undercooked, can’t believe you can mess this thing up! Also the potion is very small for a $17 dish. I didn’t see a single basil in my dish as well even though it’s called basil chilli stir fry

Ordered through Deliveroo and paid in advance. When we went to pick up the order, we were told that the order had been collected already. After all the confusion and a long wait time, they finally prepared the food. Quantity was a rip off served in extra small takeaway boxes/ small portions. Poor customer service, not value for money.

If I could give zero stars I would.
Ordered food at 7.30pm only to receive a message at 9.00pm from the Deliveroo driver to say that the restaurant is closed. No communication from the restaurant, no message or anything. Waited so long only to find out the food isn't even cooked!
I would 1000%%% recommend DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT.

Very poor customer service so we won't be ordering from here again. I lodged our order with payment online and my husband went to pick it up after 30mins as advised. When he arrived he was told that there was no record of our order and so he returned home. We then called to find out what happened to our order (which had been paid for) and were advised that it was ready to pick up. The person we spoke to was very unapologetic and advised us that he was too busy to discuss the situation further, he then hung up on us. Totally unacceptable.

1 star is too high for this place! Awful food. I ordered vegetables, they added seafood, and their response when I raised it was that I didn't say I wanted vegetables! Terrible! Awful! Horrible! Never ever order from here. I tried here to support local, I made a huge mistake! Terrible service. Terrible food. Terrible!!!!!!!!
