Loved eating here. The experience was very personalised and the staff really put some extra effort making sure it was so. I have been to Japan and the eating experience that I got here was very genuine.
The waitress also made sure we knew what we were ordering because there were some fermented soy beans roll that she said might not be for everyone due to its smell and consistency. We ended up ordering them nonetheless and they were actually really good!
Overall the food was great, the staff impeccable and the atmosphere amazing.
If I ever return to the Gold Coast, I'll make sure to come back here. All the best to this amazing restaurant.

I dined here for lunch with my son who loves Japanese food. It was quiet when we arrived but quickly got busy with mostly Asian customers, usually a good sign for Asian food. Ordering was easy using the i-pads and the staff were efficient and friendly. We ordered a variety of plates from the general menu and they came out over about 20 mins, allowing us to eat some, then eat some more. We then ordered a couple more dishes to finish off. Given my son is fussy with his Japanese food, he was very complimentary. Everything was to his liking and I actually ate the ginger for the first time, given it was freshly pickled, not the usual orange muck that passes for pickled ginger. Total cost including drinks was $116.32 incl. credit card surcharge of 1.5%.
Dishes included sashimi tuna, teriyaki chicken sushi rolls, soft shell crab, karaage chicken, tempura veges, pork gyoza, salmon & avo sushi rolls.

Walk-in without booking and been told that we have 1 hr sitting. Its took 45 mins for us to finished everything🤣. Hat off for them! Food is on spot and above our expectation.

Very busy, need to book before coming in. Loved this restaurant, the staff and the food! We ordered on these tablets which made ordering quite easy. The staff kindly explained the food we were eating since it was our first time and they checked in on us every now and again. Loved the service! Wide selection of Japanese alcohol. Very authentic experience, will definitely visit again if I come back to the Gold Coast!

It redeems my impression on local food. Among the best Japanese restaurant I have ever visited. Sashimi is so fresh and a delight to my taste bud. Grilled fish is cooked to perfection. Though I hope the yaki soba can be less sweet. Overall however will give 9.5 of 10 or even better.

Very pleasant environment. The wine was served at the perfect temperature. Great lunch spot.

Went back for dinner. The hotpot (sukiyaki), teriyaki beef and tuna shashimi are amazing. Not large serves but that just means you can try more dishes!

The service is on point, could not fault it.

I've been a few times now, it holds its own against the best Japanese on the coast.

I dare say the this place is the best experience I have had at an Izakaya restaurant in the Brisbane/Gold Coast region. This is in terms of the quality of the food, the service, and overall atmosphere of the restaurant.

On this first visit with family, we tried the Wagyu Sukiyaki, the Crispy Salmon Roll, Unagi Don, Buta Kimchi Udon and Karaage Chicken. The highlights from this for me personally were the Wagyu Sukiyaki, Buta Kimchi Udon and the Crispy Salmon Roll.

The total cost ended up being around $40 per person (with a total of 4 people), and I would highly recommend coming with a group so that you can all try lots of different dishes.

Booking is a must, as the restaurant is very busy, and you generally have about 1.5 hours to sit down and enjoy your meal. The food was served in a relatively quick fashion.

When I get there I feel like I’m in Japan.
All staffs are friendly and kind.
Food is amazing.
All foods are tasty and fresh.
I really enjoyed food definitely I will come back there.

This place is as authentic as you can get - and great value for money! The sashimi was incredibly fresh, sukiyaki was delicious, skewers were a delight! Incredible sake and v tasty chu-hai to match! They also had more esoteric options like a variety of ochazuke dishes that you dont see often but didnt get to try… this time anyway. Must try if youre in the area!

A bit tricky to find for non-local but worth the journey. An authentic Japanese restaurant from ambience to food. Season's special offered and good to try. Friendly service and food were served in a prompt manner. Gets busy so better to go early and make sure to book in advance.

The food was absolutely delicious and I was so excited they had zenzai!! The staff were also very lovely and I had a great time! I’ll be back for dinner soon!

We were a walk in but the friendly staff squeeze us in between bookings. And thank goodness that they did. It was the highlight of our dining experience during our visit to Surfers Paradise. The freshness, presentation, taste, service, and authentic atmosphere…it was all just so fantastic.

A MUST VISIT! Exceptional, authentic Japanese food, drinks, sake, shochu and fantastic service...Japanese hospitality. From the menteiko on squid and mozuku, Snapper sashimi, scallops, blue fin sashimi, and more, and the excellent service from Yusuke and the Master Chef, we are already planning our next trip.

Fantastic in every way. The food was amazing, tasty and delicious! Service was impeccable, they staff was friendly and helpful and we didn't feel rushed at all. Was a fantastic night out for my birthday. Will absolutely go again and again.

Really authentic Japanese food. It is probably one of the best Japanese restaurant we had been to. The price moderate comparing to similar restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne.

If you’re after an authentic experience, I would highly recommend this place! Each dish took me back home to Japan with its incredible flavours and menu variety. Could possibly be my favourite Japanese restaurant in the Brisbane/Gold Coast area!
