Thou walla Sunset Retreat

We enjoyed our stay. The villas are clean, child safe and comfortable. To add to this the location was great as the resort is in front of the Soldier's point Marina, Sunset and Sunrise Beach.

Went for. family holiday absolutely loved the glamour tents ⛺. The staff were during checkin even refunded a night that we booked but couldn’t stay, The park amenities were spotless I would highly recommend you to experience this wonderful park 🙏🏾👍🏿

Great standard cabin. Comfortable for a few days stay. Box air conditioner struggled in January heat wave.

We recently stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin and loved staying here. The views over the water from the deck of the cabin was sensational and we had the rainbow lorikeets regularly visiting. The cabin was ultra clean and had all the amenities you would need. The camp kitchen was very clean and well maintained. The pool was clean and the surrounding area was very well maintained. Great sunsets and water on both sides of the caravan park. The staff are friendly. We will definitely recommend this park to everyone.

Love this place. We have been here every year since our first visit 6 years ago.

I love the sea view room. My daughter called it the tree house.

I didn't like the duck poo by the pool and in the water the last visit recently. It was so bad I didn't go in. My.son had a full meltdown over it too because it was all over his pool floaty toy. But other than that, I really love this place. 😀

THERW WUZ NO. 'BAD SERVICE. It wuz SPECTACULAR the service wuz A-MAZING. ThouWalla also wuz very close to the shopping center and some restuants and has an Eggcelent view. IN TOTAL IT WUZ GREAT.❤👌😄😄😄😄😄

We stayed at Thou Walla and were so pleasantly surprised! This is a hidden gem at The Bay. The staff are amazing, the location is great, the sunset is AMAZING! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back! Thank you!

Will definitely be back again for another getaway. Comfy bed, shower/bath pod was great and toilet facilities were really clean. Really nice park overall.

Fantastic place, we had park view villa, big as a unit, large bathroom with a bath, big deck to enjoy meals. Staff wonderful and friendly, easy access to safe kids swimming beach. Will come back

I was very surprised and impressed with the location and fantastic value for money of our 2 night stay in a Budget Cabin. Our cabin was clean, had air conditioning/heating, fridge/freezer, self contained ammenities, choice of sofa bed or main suite. Gorgeous sunsets, friendly wild life and the local shops are 2 minutes drive away. I highly recommend a midweek stay. I will definitely be booking again!

We have travelled all over Australia & can easily say this is the best park ever! We had the greatest time, in a low key, low fuss, clean & fauna filled site!
There is absolutely nothing to complain about here. Absolutely awesome in every way. We will be back!
PS: We even ticked off a bucket list of seeing a Koala in the wild (first time believe it or not) hand feeding Kookaburra & Magpies with a baby (proper food pellets of coarse) and a couple of possums that have absolutely no fear of humans that have exactly the opposite effect to them! We love this place!

Great location, close to boat ramp. 2 bedroom cabins beautifully presented w/ lovely bathrooms, mattresses & linen. Communal bathrooms for the camping area very clean. Staff at reception really friendly & helpful. Will definitely be returning. :D

Remote and out of the way. The way we wanted it. We had a very clean standard cabin, with the view at the forest. A great base for exploring Port Stephens.

We stayed in the waterview cabins (cabin 2&3) These were modern, clean, spacious. BBQ exclusive to the total of 5 waterview villas. Views were great. Park was very clean and positioned well. Pool was clean, relaxing and well kept. Every staff member we interacted with were so friendly. Waterview villas 3 and 4 would be my pick, especially if you were in 2 groups. We will definitely be back in the future.

A last minute booking got us the perfect, cosy cabin for a long 4 day weekend. Location is wonderful, staff knowledgeable and very friendly. Got all the sun, coffee, fishing and seafood we could ask for a memorable trip.

Lodging is very complete. In this inn there are 3 parts. The bottom part is intended for a caravan or private tent. The second part is the Glam Tent, a private camp equipped with a King size bed, fireplace, and portable bathroom. The last part consists of small units such as villas, there are 2-3 beds, a lounge, a fully equipped kitchen and a fan and air conditioning. All units face west, we can enjoy the sunset. There is a barbecue and swimming pool too. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Loved my first experience of glamping. Thou Walla is in such a beautiful place on Australia's east coast and was so relaxing. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. Loved the jet shower. Our water views from the tent were amazing. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our 3 day holiday, it far exceeded our expectations.

Can't rave about Thou Walla Sunset Retreat enough. Even on rainy days while we visited it was still amazing. The views, the location, the friendly staff.... we had to extend our stay a few times just because we did not want to leave. Will definitely be visiting again and again and again and we know we would never get tired of it. The rooms are well maintained as well as all the amenities. Just a 2 min or so walk to The Deck and The Point restaurants which offer beautiful food, and also another beautiful spot on the other side to catch the sunset. Can't wait to return!!

Great atmosphere, comfortable and affordable GREAT location with sunrise and sunset on both sides. The tides drastically changing the landscape throughout the day - It catered for my family group of 40 over the long weekend. Lisa was exceptional with suggestions prior to our stay and also during , she was also very thoughtful and a shout out to Hannah for organising some lost items and also Glen! Our family had such a memorable time!!
