It was a great experience far from home - A little restaurant with great atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. Every part of every dish just marries well together. Ingredients were fresh and cooked well. The flavours were just as appealing as how they look. The crab fettuccine needed some pepper but was still rather fresh and light.

This was our second visit and we absolutely loved it! Despite the difficulty of getting into the restaurant, as it was fenced off by the council, it was worth the inconvenience.
The food was adorable. We loved the taste of the unique hermit crab claw and the crab fettuccine was so tasty and light, not to mention the apple tarte tatine! Service was impeccable and the French chef came out to say hello! What a beautifully warm place with delicious food to boast! Definitely returning, if we happen to be in the area

Fantastic experience all the way from booking with Mandy to dessert! We had a wonderful table and the atmosphere was perfect with a few dolphins to add to the magic. The seafood ravioli, sword fish with lemon risotto and ‘take me to Paris’ berry and custard tart made in house were all perfection. Take a bow team…. We loved it.

So worth the effort to drive the klm's to get there. The food was delectable, delicious delightful, there are not enough superlatives to describe it! 10 meals served at our table and not one complaint about any of the meals. Service was a cut above, quick and immediate and super friendly. Seating was spacious and open which added to the comfort unlike other places that cram you in like sardines. The owners came out to speak to all the diners which adds to the service and gives the place the added atmosphere that will induce me to return again soon.
WELL DONE THE POYERS, you know how to set the bar both for service and food.

We were visiting the area and just popped in. The staff were very welcoming and we enjoyed a beautiful lunch. The setting is fabulous and so peaceful. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The chef came and spoke to everyone. We will definitely return and will book to make sure we don't miss out. I would certainly recommend The Poyer's. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely experience.

It's a shame we didn't get chance to have dinner here, we should check earlier and visit for dinner! However the staff here were still so warm even we only came for deserts.
All the three desserts were aaaaaamazing! My favorite is the first one, but again all the three desserts were the best of their type and way better than the ones I tried in Sydney!
The atmosphere was great, lovely decoration, every staff were so kind and patient. This is definitely a place I'd like to revisit! For both breakfast and a proper dinner!

We often have breakfast at poyers on the weekends, they never fail to produce exceptional food. Very accommodating of my families Gluten free, dairy free allergies. The setting is just gorgeous and staff always friendly and welcoming. It's my favourite local spot. Highly recommend.

"It is uncommon to begin a review focused on teamwork and hospitality. I had a good lead up experience booking The Poyer's and within minutes of our arrival the teamwork and hospitality was standing out. A warm co-owner, experienced staff and a couple of experienced staff supported by younger ones making up the team on the floor. You could tell quickly they really connected with the kitchen. The whole feeling was of a sure-footed, talented and committed team.

Great explanations of the menu, spot on advice and perfect timing of the arrival of each of our dishes.

The food was uniformly exceptional, a lot inspired by locally sourced ingredients. Superbly flavoured and beautifully presented. And the setting of The Poyer's is just delightful, beautiful views looking out to the bay. Locals going about their recreational business and daily life, boating, picnicking and fishing.

I am glad restaurants like The Poyer's are not in the big city. They would run the risk of being overwhelmed by popularity, with the potential of being under-appreciated.

Memorable!"

I’ve always said, for a restaurant to get 5 stars it must offer more than just great food. It needs to offer a great experience. Poyer’s nailed it!

My wife and I enjoyed our 17 year wedding anniversary here and we are so glad we did. The setting is really nice with a great view over the water. The interior is light and creates an enjoyable ambiance. The service was impeccable with every one of the staff taking time to have a light chat and make you feel welcome. (Not to mention they made no mistakes on our substantial 4 course order)

The food was incredible. From kingfish ceviche, to scallops, to the seafood mains and the crème brûlée to top it all off. All of it was amazing, honestly.

We’d also hereby like to thank you all for such an enjoyable and memorable experience. We’ll be back for sure.

Always a treat dining at The Poyer's.
Breakfast this morning was delicious, staff are friendly and efficient, quick service and nothing was a bother ie: cutting the crust off the sour dough.
Gorgeous view in beautiful Lemon Tree Passage.

The food at The Poyers was outstanding. The oysters, fish specials, salads, sauces & then deserts were all delicious. The best dining experience we have had in a longtime. The service was excellent with an enthusiastic & knowledgeable waitress, Madison, providing guidance through the menu & attention to detail. We don’t usually write reviews but this restaurant is exceptional!

Well, what a sensational experience. I took my partner there for her birthday and was looking for something special.Well it was
First class food coupled with first class service. Attention to detail exceptional, from using matching glasses to match the wine and Mandy’s knowledge of wine. The night concluded with the other owner circulating through the diners to seek feedback on the food. Well done guys a truly wonderful experience and I would encourage anyone seeking a spoiler to visit. We also stayed at the Lemon tree passage hotel which is about 500 meters away and was very clean and tidey. Thanks again Steve and Barbara

This restaurant is such a gem, I can’t recommend it enough! The view is worth the trip as well! The quality of the food is exceptional, the menu is not only creative but huge for a small place and best of all, it changes with seasons but also has daily specials which I love. I wished more restaurants in the Bay would take a leaf out of their book! Most have a fixed menu for years: how boring when you are a resident! I don’t eat meat and there was a great selection of fish and vegetarian. I had a fantastic ceviche (please try it!), an Orange roughy with a delicious sauce and for dessert a caramel parfait with coffee anglaise to die for (so nice Ludovic does not prepare just the stereotyped French desserts). The staff was so friendly as usual. The wine list is impressive and the bill for such an incredible feast was very reasonable as I know how much work and skills such a feast requires. Well done to the team. 👏🏼

We love this place. Always bring friends from Sydney. Everything is locally sourced and so fresh! Thestaff are fabulous, they explain the menu, as there are always new dishes to try. Sea Urchin was great. They even help with pairing the wines and the main and entree, pointing out I was ordereing two pasta dishes🤪
The food is to die for. We didn't have entrees one time and everyone else had dessert. I asked if I could have the zucchini flowers for dessert. No plroblem Chef cooked them up for me, even though service had finished. The chef comes to ask if you enjoyed your meal every time. I mean wow! Where else does that happen!

Love love love The Poyer's

One of the best dining experiences I have had - every dish was absolutely perfect and so full of flavour. The venue was also perfect for a warm summers night. If you get the chance we highly recommend the hermit crab or quail gnocchi! Amazing

Certainly deserves the high rating and reservation is essential. Service staff are attentive and polite. Food is well presented and tastes just as good. Tables are spaced far apart so you get privacy. Awesome waterfront views and fresh breeze from the sea as we dined. Ask for the daily specials. King fish ceviche is a must try entree!! Highly recommended!!!
