Daon Cafe & Korean Restaurant

What a hidden gem! After seeing the reviews I had to look for myself.
The staff are wonderfully pleasant and kind.
Food is prepared in house, including the side dishes. Hands down the best banchan in Brisbane. The gamjajorim is superb.
The soft tofu soup was served sizzling and perfectly spicy, with a creamy yolk and tender tofu.
The sweet and spicy chicken is flavourful, and the chicken meat is the freshest I've ever had. My only suggestion is thicker breading and more heat in the spice.

Have the seafood tofu stew and the soybean marble beef stew, the food taste very homey instead of commercialise, which is very rare now. This shop just open recently but the vibe in the shop is really good. The waiter is very nice, warm and sweet which already give us a good impression for the shop. The food are very tasty, full of flavours and fresh, highly recommended! ❤

Really love to be here for Korean food, its a really great place for dining, and the coffee here is awesome! You can't go to elsewhere but Daon for Korean food. And its a good place to chill out and staffs are really nice here! :)

Excellent Korean restaurant, delicious food, very friendly staff, nice setting overlooking the pool. The kimchi soup I had was amazing. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting some authentic Korean food.

Wonderful authentic Korean food, very well cooked. Good prices and very friendly service. This little gem is located in the reception area of a university student accomodation park. Its not fancy but very comfortable. Carpark in front. We can definitely recommend this restaurant!

Amazing. You may wonder how good a restaurant in a student accommodation building can be. The answer is it's pretty dam good. The restaurant looks like it is located within a student accommodation building, which is to say it's a casual restaurant with subdued decor.

The food is excellent. I was there with six others and every one of us enjoyed our entrées and meals.

The service is good. I was surprised with just how quickly our orders arrived.

Daon is the hidden gem in Brisbane. I have lots of experiences that restaurant has inconsistent food tastes and quality. But Daon is always maintaining good tasting with great services. The chef is always making delicious meals and side dishes, it just reminds me of the home cook. As a Korean, Daon is my go-to Korean restaurant. Very highly recommend!

We had a great experience at this Korean restaurant. The beef Korean BBQ was delicious and Jake, our host and member of the family that owns the restaurant, was helpful, pleasant and professional. We learned the family have had 30 years of experience in cooking traditional Korean food. We were staying next door to the University Park in the Comfort Inn when we accidentally found this gem. Highly recommended.

One of the great Korean restaurants in Brisbane for sure. The food is great and very healthy as well because they make sauce using all natural ingredients. It is a quite spacious and quiet next to a big swimming pool your kids may enjoy while you are having a feast. A good place for a meeting over a cup of coffee since they make great coffee and sell tasty cakes.

We've been to this restaurant a couple times and always feel very welcomed! The staff are friendly, the food and drinks are yummy with big serving sizes, and it is nice to have lots of different choices for inside and outside seating. We're looking forward to trying the BBQ soon!

The only place you can have the real Korean chicken soup in Brisbane area. Cause I rarely seen restaurants cooking chicken soup in their kitchen though this place makes an great effort. Definitely I’m coming back for my favorite chicken soup and trying other menus as well! Very impressive! 100 out of 10 😂

New open recently, different tastes from other Korean restaurants but its really nice and yummy! Recommend the hand made kimchi pancake, it’s sooooo good! Also recommended the spicy chicken with extra cheese on top, it’s can share with 2-3 persons, we all love this dishes, must try if you come here! We will be back next time.

Stumbled across this place. All other korean restaurants were booked out. Very casual. Licensed. The food is great and the service is just as good. So sad I not find this place earlier. Well Done!

Best Korean restaurant ever! Such delicious and yummy authentic food, the atmosphere is great and the service is 10/10. Would definitely recommend to all my family and friends as this place is superb!

It’s a cosy Korean restaurant with lovely and friendly staff. Love the Chicken noodle soup with the special sauce. Limited parking. Turn right at the dead end and you will see the parking. Not much street lights at the entrance.

Good foods and services. Especially deep fried chicken and pork. Nicely done, surely using fresh ingredients. Spacious place and there is a swimming pool right next to it! (Think we can use it as a guest..) Nothing else around but worth finding this place.

I had MANGO FRAPPE after swimming in the pool. You can enjoy swimming pool while you stay in DAON. This is a family friendly place. I love MANGO FRAPPE. Of course I like food served and friendly staff with a smile on their face. I have become a big fan of DAON.
