Connells Bakery

I love this bakery, it’s so friendly and the love for their craft is evident. Great service, smiles all around and efficient. There are a wonderful range of gourmet pies, but I’m a sourdough lover so I opted for a sourdough chicken and avocado sandwich. The filling was a very generous amount of chicken and avocado with a goodish amount of rocket. I would’ve liked more rocket, but maybe with all chicken and avocado it wouldn't fit it in! I finished up with a real old fashioned chocolate eclair. It was divine as instead of melted chocolate which is absolutely the wrong match with all that cream, it had gorgeous chocolate icing.

Got a steak pie and a mocha, Pie was absolutely perfect, cooked to perfection and was delicious. Barista had lots of skill because the mocha I had was great. The atmosphere was great, busy but staff were still very nice and attentive to the customers.

A good country bakery is a gem - and this is one of them.

On a recent visit to Wonthaggi, stocked up on a bunch of things. Service was also warm.

Had the bacon, egg, spinach, tomato relish brioche roll. Tasted good. Was pretty pricey and set me back over $15 for the coffee also. Don’t get impulsive if the item in the window doesn’t display the price.

Staff were very friendly.

First time Customer today. Great Bakery. Fast service. Plenty of Variety.

This is a must come cafe. One of the best cafe in Australia in my lifetime from taste, quality, service, pricing… all point of views. THE BEST

Friendliest staff, lots to choose from and delicious food!!

Great bakery, plenty of home baked pies and other lunch options. Delicious traditional cakes and slices and most importantly good coffee. Their bread choices are excellent and delicious. They also have a generous rewards programme.

Great Chilli Cheese Sausage Roll, actually has chilli in it unlike other pretenders and their “chilli”
I also enjoy the coffee and ham salad roll.
Great friendly service, they even made up a ham salad roll early in the morning

Had friends up from Mornington on the weekend, and decided to go to a local bakery. Was a good idea and we hadn’t been in there for a year or so. Called in Sat and it had been changed since we last went in.

We were all impressed and loved their choices of slices and cakes. Service was prompt and friendly too. Highly recommend.

Great food,wouldn't say it scheap,but u definitely get what you pay for,pies so full of real meat and the pastry is so nice too,muffins big and tasty,coffee spot on and staff happy and chatty

Hubby and I had a late lunch at Connells Bakery in Wonthaggi. Awesome food selections well presented...in the food cases...staff are very patient and helpful, as we had a question...quite obliging really...love the food quality served and sold at Connells Bakery in Wonthaggi.

Connells bakery. Every single time I come here I'm greeted with nothing but friendly smiles, can be such a rare thing thesdays especially with pandemic ect. Pies are tasty coffee is strong a credit to all the staff and management. Well done.

Love the variety of bread and slices on offer. Staff are friendly and the service is fantastic.

Excellent traditional bakery products & wraps etc without charging a bomb! Fast service even though there was a 10m line at lunchtime. We’ve got a large family so tried a whole variety of things in the process of feeding everyone & they were all winners. Particularly good Hedgehog slice.
(Didn’t try the coffee though)

Each time I visit, I'm always warmly greated.

Service is always great, menu is well priced and coffee is always how it should taste.

Amazing service and lovely food. Wheelchair accessible. Lots of space. Clean and tidy. Highly recommend
