Shop 7, Sushi House

I’m lucky to have sushi 🍣 house close to my office in the CBD. It’s located within the foodcourt of Suncorp centre. If you been to this foodcourt you would have notice a lot of shops closed post Covid, but not sushi house they are more popular than ever. If you want to try their food 🍲 you’ll need to be quick because once sold out the shop closes and I’ve missed out several times.

Sushi house offers sushi rolls, bento boxes 🍱 and udon 🍜. My favourite is the wagyu bento box for $12, it’s such a good value meal and the portion is big plus you get miso soup! Where else can you find such as good deal in the CBD and the most important thing is it taste really good. I’ve also tried the udon wagyu for $10.50 and that’s delicious too, but for me there wasn’t enough udon 🙁. So if you’re a big eater go for the bento, you won’t be disappointed. If you’re a light eater go for Sushi rolls, they are quite cheap too especially after 2pm.

So if you’re thinking Japanese food next time, give sushi house a try it’s definitely worth it.

Review 2: recently I have discovered the prices for both bento and udon meals increase by $2-3 and the meals have become smaller in portion. Very sad how inflation can affect both the business and the consumer.

Ordered the prawn bento and was pleasantly surprised. The servings were quite large, especially given the reasonable price of $10. The prawn was deliciously crunchy, the rice was covered with sauce and the miso soup was hot and fresh. Highly recommended as a lunchtime office staple!

The food and service here are always great, even when they're super busy. I eat here regularly and have always had amazing food. Their prices are also incredible especially compared to other places. I spent more at another Japanese takeaway and spent more but the wuality and portion were no where near Sushi House. One of my favourite lunch time spots.

Always decent Sushi. Very well sized sushi rolls and no skimping on the fillings. If they don't have something readily available, they will make it while you wait. At the back of the food court of 259 George Street, find it and enjoy.

Good Sushi rolls--good portions and fresh ingredients. Friendly service. It would be great if they had the brown rice option for salmon and avocado. Average price is between $4 and $4.80.
