Well presented restaurant serving authentic Chinese cuisine located next to the Westin Hotel in Brisbane CBD. They do offer a wide selection of dishes ranging from the super spicy black mullet braised in chilli oil and peppercorn to non-spicy tea-smoked duck. There’s something for every taste bud. The dishes are not small in portion and are mostly designed to be shared so its ideal to dine in a group of 3-4 if you’d like to try a few dishes. Or just be prepared to take some leftovers home (like we always do) as their food still taste delicious after reheating.

The two of us ordered these 3 dishes with rice and took home the leftovers which were enough for a second meal.

Dry Fried Pork intestine with dry chilli and chips - Loved the chilli infused flavour and crunchiness of all the ingredients: pork intestine, capsicum, potato, peanuts, onion. The flavour is spicy but not over the top numbing kind of spicy. The strong flavour makes it a great dish to pair with rice.

“Xu Xiang” Eggplant with pork mince and sweet sour sauce - Eggplants are cooked through and nice and soft. Sauce was delicious. If you are someone who likes eggplant in sauce, this is another flavoursome dish to pair with rice.

Spicy lamb ribs with capsicum, onions, peanuts, coriander, cumin and paprika - Amazing aroma and flavour. The lamb ribs were simply a delight and cooked to perfection. This dish is perfect to enjoy on its own or pair with rice.

They also served a small plate of picked cabbage as complimentary appetiser, which was really nice. Overall the dining experience was enjoyable. Staff were attentive although we sat at the outdoor dining area. Prices are on the expensive side. Highly recommend using Liven to buy Foodollars to get discount if you can.

Absolutely the best best best Sichuan restaurant in Qld. I tried almost of all Sichuan restaurants in Brisbane and the GC, there were always some problems to pick on from each one of them.

But at Lan, no joking, I have by far tried at lest 15 different dish from the menu. None of them have let me down. They are all authentic and well done! Keep it up.

Special the service there, it's also the best out of all Chinese restaurants I have been to. Very impressed with their proactive SMS to inform you the time and date. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Only downside I have to say is the location and parking.

We had a delicious dinner here, every single dish was delicious!!! Portions are in line with the prices and quality.

Amazing food, if you love spicy cuisines this restaurant is highly recommended. The services have definitely improved since the last time I came here, there was this one female waitress (think she was a halfie) that was extremely kind to us and spoke fluent English and introduced us in great details with their new foods. They are now taking surveys in order to improve their food qualities and services - asking customers how they have felt in general about their meal. I have never ever seen any other restaurants in Brisbane have had such a humble attitude with regards to their willingness of further enhancement. Overall, it was phenomenal and I am certainly returning again!

Good food and authentic Sichuan cuisine. Generous portions, friendly customer service. It’s a bit under rated here on google. I hope overtime this could revert.

Love this restaurant! My go to with friends and family. The black mullet fish, lamb ribs and chicken were so good! The crab tofu pudding is amazing ❤

Authentic Sichuan flavour. Very good food. Nice service. Hot and sour fish and chicken cold noodles are my fav.
Little bit let down is that crab tofu soup a bit bland.

My favourite Sichuan restaurant in Brisbane, not that spicy so I can enjoy while there are also really hot dishes for my friends. The interior design is Chinese and plating is pleasant

As a Chinese guy lived in QLD for over 10 years this is the best Chinese restaurant in Brisbane/GC, hands down.

My uncle is visiting us from overseas and he lives just upstairs of Lan Dining in the Skytower, ever since he discovered this place we have been to this restaurant 3 times within two weeks already. We are thinking to try different dishes every time before he goes back home.

Best Chinese restaurant in Brisbane!
I remembered once when I was having dinner there, an old couple told me they drove from Sunshine Coast to Brisbane CBD to have Chinese food and after dinner, they would drive back, there were no such good Chinese restaurant in Sunshine Coast! Hundreds of kilometres just for Chinese food, that’s amazing!

Love this place!! It is pricey but the flavours are out of this world, I dream about it for days after. The dishes I order are all spicy as I love spicy food, I get the Mapo Tofu, Fried Dried Chilli Chicken and the Green Beans. Portion sizes are quite big so suggest going with 3 or more people so you can try many dishes.

Really yummy Sichuan food. I think they have the spice levels just right. Great proportions, reasonably priced for a restaurant in the CBD. Service can be a little slower during dinner times. I suggest book in advance.
