Broadwater Oysters 生蚝

Did the shucking experience with Broadwater and it was lovely! Learned a lot about Sydney rock oysters, about the local waterways, and did a hands-on shucking class. Oysters were delicious, and staff were fantastic - definitely worth a visit!

So good , fresh tasty and amazing views await you. Take the turn off down to the boat ramp and find ample parking and seating. The staff were only too friendly and we super organised with numbers for when your order is ready. The premium larger oysters 🦪 were excellent.

Fabulous tour of the oyster farm and tasting were lovely on the shores of the lake. From the lake to the plate. Mel was a fantastic tour guide. Fun, informative and very welcoming.

Had a lovely tour and talk this morning with our tour group. Mel was a great guide and passionate about her job and oysters. We got to shuck and taste. I'm not an oyster lover 🦪 but the cheese platter they provided was delicious 😋

Best creamers oysters on in Pambula. They are amazing both eat in and takeaway. The team who work there are really friendly and the oysters are always so fresh. We keep coming back all the time

My partner and I attended the Gourmet Oyster School with Mel, and it was incredible. We learned so much about the process and enjoyed a great deal of oysters (which we learned to chuck ourselves). A real educational experience with a meal at the end. Well worth the cost.

Worthwhile, oysters to stop in and purchase. While I'm not sure $1 Oysters exist anymore, I settled on a dozen unshucked for $20 ($28 if shucked). The lady kindly gave me 15 :) Once boiled they all opened up and were excellent. Thanks!

The oysters themselves were super fresh and excellent and the Japanese themed dressings were delicious. We washed it down with wasabi tonic water (which I highly recommend trying) and pearl jasmine tea. As the sun set over the lake, I can’t think of anything better to do on a lazy afternoon 👌👌👌

This was easily the best oyster place in the area when you consider the quality, variety and price of the oysters, accompanying wines and the beautiful and tranquil location by the lake. I would highly recommend a visit!!

After a swim in the pristine waters of the Pambula River mouth take a journey up river to Pambula Lake. Broadwater Oysters sits on its western banks facing a row of bobbing oyster punts and the oyster leases behind them. Tacked onto the end of the oyster sheds, you’ll find a counter and deli room. The smokehouse seafood ($29) tasting board is a way to sample across their wares: smoked salmon, cured ocean trout and their smooth, subtle oysters with lemon, cucumber, fingerlime, bread and crackers to create your own flavour sensations. The cured ocean trout was a particular star.

The premium oysters ($18/6) have enough flavour to handle a Japanese-inspired upgrade ($4) with marinated wakame, pickled ginger, cucumber and a dab of wasabi-lime mayo. And, if you like what you tried, you can take home these beauties for $20/dozen unshucked. It’s a pretty good price for a restaurant-grade oyster between three and four years old that the oyster farmer has handled about seventeen times on its way to your plate.

Though it’s hard to beat the opportunity to kick back at a shaded picnic table and let someone else do the shucking for you, particularly when the beverage list is so good! Brewed using Ryefield Hops grown up the road in Bemboka, the Dangerous Ales Brewing Co Hazy Pale Ale ($9) is a delightful, floral drop that’s all too easy to put away. We also try the Tathra Hotel’s Humpback Brewery First Calf Pale Ale ($8) that drank a fraction too malty for me. You can pick up some of the Milton-brewed Dangerous Ales craft beers to take home at Tathra Cellars.

The oysters were so fresh and delicious. Reasonably priced and freshly shucked. Very friendly, knowledgeable and great customer service. We had a dozen there and took a few more for later. A must visit for oyster lovers! :)

Loved everything about the Broadwater Experience. Taste was sweet and complimented beautifully by locally made Worcestershire sauce...just as good natural. Casual seating provided as required, great conversation with no frills from water to plate. This however is not a negative but only elevates the Experience. Must must do if in the area.

First time I met Pete, waz a great experience. Got me out of a pickle, and helped me out. Very easy to talk to, like we'd been friends for years. Yes I'd certainly go back an crack a couple of coldies n oysters. Right on the edge of stunningly beautiful lake Pambula. Shed 4. Hope you don't mind me giving you the thumbs up Pete. Wonderful large, tasty oysters. Finally! After all the tiny baby oysters that I have come across traveling down the Sapphire Coast Oyster Trail where they have sold and served up some of the smallest oysters I have ever come across (very disappointing). Broadwater Oysters has excellent and big freshly shucked oysters, $30 a doz and worth every cent. I loved the smoked oyster pate as well.

Friendly staffs, giving great infos on oyster, whilst we waited for our fresh oysters. Oysters were on the larger size... I prefer medium, but my the other half won over. Delicious 😋

The best oysters I've ever had! We had a lovely afternoon here - great service from the lovely lady on the counter who took the time to explain the different oysters and other options and we enjoyed it at the beautiful location on the tables by the river.

Took the tour /private class with only 4 people, including myself, Mel was our instructor and was absolutely great. Mel was very knowledgeable and pationate about oysters and the farm, she was also very great and answering all queries that the group had.

In the class we learned about oyster farming, the area and how to open up the oysters ourselves, which was exciting and a fun skill to have.

The oysters themselves were great, locally sources, and freshly open for us.

5 Stars. The oysters are super fresh and yummy. Reasonably priced. Sounds of bell birds everywhere. The bay is so pretty and made for nice photos. If you love oysters, you simply must visit.
