Been here twice now. Each time I've walked away with an amazing food experience. Super friendly helpful staff. Incredible food. See you again. Very soon.

Decided to stop in for lunch based on Google reviews of competing, like-for-like cafes and boy are we glad we did. The menu items were more accessible using Google menu tab when viewing online, otherwise there's quite a vast menu to take in as they're written on various boards around the shop front. Easy enough either way though. Busy cafe, plenty of people enjoying what looked to be great food. Friendly staff made ordering easy. It's a"grab a table and head on up when you're ready to order" type of cafe - very casual. Ordered the flake fish and chips as well as the crispy chicken burger, along with coffees and a spider for the young one. Wow! The serves were impressive, as too the quality of the food. The crispy chicken burger had to be one of the best I've ever had. The bun was beautiful. Freshly prepared, super crispy, moist chicken and the chips were cooked beautifully. The flake fish and chips also a delight - that's how you batter fish! Light, crispy and fish cooked just right. Coffees were nice. Was easy to see why it gets as many customers as they do. Would I go back again? absolutely. Compliments to these guys, everything was top notch!

Great place to enjoy a good meal! Husband loves their burgers, kids loved the milkshakes and my avo toast was awesome! It's a regular when we're in Merimbula. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Makes all the difference! Thank you!

We've always loved coming to Cranky's. We hadn't been to Merimbula for 5 years for various reasons so when we returned recently we found it a bit changed, notably that they weren't using the inside of the shop for dining in. However, there is still outdoor dining and takeaway, and the food is still amazing. We had the bahn mi roll - it was delicious. We've never faulted the food, ever, and the coffee is great. Definitely recommend.

Took the family for breakfast and the two toughest critics (our 2 children) loved their pancakes.

Food is great, atmosphere is fantastic but most importantly the coffee is the best in town.

This place is a superb choice for a snack or meal. Everything that we ate there over 8 days was magnificent. The coffees are great, the fish and chips, the doughnuts.... Everything.

It kind of has a coastal-shack feel, but the coffee and food l had there across a week was consistently delicious. And the staff were lovely.

Delicious breakfast at Crankys - with their own home baked bread. Rate the coffee as great too ! Highly recommend

We keep coming back to this place because the food is delicious, coffee is the best around and the service is quick friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Out on the Fishpen side of Merimbula with the beach and park in front is Cranky Cafe with a great range of takeaway or eat in food, the menu caters for fish, burgers breakfast sandwiches or lunch and more as well as coffee or a shake, good fast service and fresh food. After having some lunch or breakfast take a walk around the park and water edge and enjoy the sun.

Had a Benny burger and it was fantastic, full to the brim with trimmings and sauce. Friendly staff and coffee was great, might just need to be a bit hotter but it’s perfect to drink straight off the counter. Would go back

Such amazing quality food, generous servings, friendly service that we dined here four times during our week away and even ordered items from their frozen take home menu. Every meal was delicious and represented fab value for money. So many of the menu items were made on the premises incl. the baked goods. 100% recommend!!

Great place for grabbing a bite. Just next to the beach. Food is excellent and very reasonably priced given the location. Highly recommended.

Very friendly staff at this dog friendly cafe. Extensive menu that caters for Vegetarians & Vegans. Plenty of parking. Situated across the road from a park that has access to the beach. I ordered the local fish of the day with sweet potato fries & a garden salad. It was delicious! Toby & Gracie got a doggo biscuit each.

Great food! Fresh fish grilled, vegetables and even hummus and falfel next to the more traditional fish and chips. Great for everyone. Near a really nice playground and park for a picnic. Very good coffee as well!

Excellent food, good portion sizes and quickly even when very busy. Great location too.
