FOOD was 7 out of 5 stars. So FRESH and ORIGINAL taste. Food cooked by very professional chef. EVERY single dish was super yum.
* AMPLE of parking available at the front and side.
* Price quote was very reasonable and within our budget.

Tried Delhi to Canberra with a group of friends for dinner. Was an excellent place to talk and enjoy company over delicious food. We shared chicken, lamb, beef, and vego dishes and all were amazing. Perfect serving sizes, nobody left hungry. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Keen to go back soon!

Highlight was their goat special
Butter chicken could be improved, sauce was too thick, needs more cream.
Your CD needs to be changed as it’s making weird noises so you can’t fully enjoy the music.

I have dined in and gotten takeaway several times from Delhi to Canberra and every experience has been excellent. The staff are always friendly and attentive and the food is always delicious, fresh and spicy. The best Indian food in Canberra!

We have been to Delhi to Canberra several times now. They are super accommodating to my wife’s gluten free needs (she is coeliac). Additionally, their food is delicious, and you can’t go wrong with the heap of options they have on their menu! Would absolutely recommend!!! 👍

The most underrated Indian restaurant in Canberra. 3rd time here and the food just continues to impress. The vibe reminds me of an Indian style “bar and restaurant”. Punctual service, fair prices but most importantly the food is just amazing. Our new favourite “local” even though it’s on the other side of town to us.

Two-thirds of the menu here is gluten-free: yay! The music in the kitchen sounds a lot tastier than the music in the dining room, which is a tad bland. Bland is, thankfully, not a word one could use about the food here. The food is delightfully aromatic, so it is pleasing before one even gets to taste it. Thoroughly delicious food is complemented by lovely décor and comfortable settings. The service is graceful without being stuffy. The owners have a passion for Indian food and culture, an easy and warm hospitality, and a vision for making this one of Canberra’s best restaurants.

Loved everything we ate. Starters, mains were absolutely delicious and staff were friendly and approachable. Took 35 mins to get here but it's absolutely worth the travel. Easily the best Indian restaurant in Canberra.

Hands down the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The cheese naan is so soft, the flavours of the curries and entrees are unbelievable. Really want to try the onion bhaji next time. Delicious!!!!

Coming here was a wonderful experience. The hosts were welcoming and the food was great!

The entrees especially were amazing and very generous in size. We got two Indo Chinese dishes and both were great. We ordered it to be medium spiciness - it was definitely spicy but also enjoyable! The chili chicken was my favourite of the entrees.

For mains we got Chicken Tikka Masala and Beef do Piazza. Both were good and flavourful but not as spicy as the entrees.

For dessert, we had Pistachio Kulfi with Gulab Jamun. It was a nice way to end the dinner.

All round, an enjoyable experience. We will be back there again to try more dishes!

Could this be Canberra’s best Indian restaurant?When the ‘rona was at its peak in April, we swung by Melba shops one Saturday morn to walk the dog and get a coffee. Grabbed a flyer for ‘From Delhi to Canberra’ while I waited for the brew. OMG, look at all their naan options, I thought.
We finally went last Sat night for a sit down meal. Were very impressed.
Do you have lassis? Yes, would like to try a rose lassi? Whaaat? Can there be such a thing?
My beloved was thrilled with her choice, and kindly shared a bit.
Verily, I say unto you, you must try their rose lassi, and the mango lassi. Thick and tasty and definitely we’ll order them again.
The Chicken 65 entrée was hot and zingy and I am so happy with the choice. Beloved tried some in India last year, and wanted to see what an Australian version was like. Tremendous dish.
Delhi to Canberra’s daal makhani, lamb biriyani with raita, and the anchovy & spinach naan were all full of flavours.
The hardest part about returning in July will be trying to not order the same thing again, because each dish was superb.
Service too was attentive and excellent.
Please, if you’re ordering take away/pick up, order via their website and Menulog, because the third-party sites’ charges are too high. Using the restaurant’s site helps their family business to maintain their staff. Like so many local hospitality businesses, they need our support if we can provide it.
Could this be Canberra’s best Indian restaurant? I need to return for a second opinion, but based on our first visit, they’re definitively in my top three.

It was honestly a lovely dinner and the food prepared from the entree, mains and dessert has been a wonderful experience. Shame we didn’t do heaps of photos as we were excited to taste the food being serve to us but will definitely have a second try. Wishing they have a little shop in Woden area 👏🏻😌
