Straddie Island Bakery

This is the very first thing you will see as you turn left after getting off the barge/ ferry/ sealing water taxi! They have all the staples
Meat pies and sausage rolls of sufficient quality
The range of cakes and sweet fare is somewhat limited although cream doughnuts and laminations feature strongly
Now the bakery is struggling without the huge demand that came from the now defunct sand mining operation
So good on the bakers for the persistence shown. Service is brisk but friendly!

My wife and I stopped in for lunch, she chose the curry meat pie and I had a beef steak pie. Staff were very friendly and both pies were fantastic, the pastry melted in our mouths and the meat fillings were generous and tender. I would have liked a steak and mushroom, but they had already sold out when we arrived, so get in early. They also appeared to have a good range of cakes and breads. Strongly recommend giving it a try.

Talk about water views, best soy latte and friendly service by Tracey! Straddie bakery has it all at very competitive prices. A great find as we entered the island after the ferry trip. I felt welcome every morning and enjoyed the birds singing while I had my coffee at the outdoor table.

Lovely bakery, kids loved the wraps and special effort was made for the coffee! Cheers... much appreciated 🙏

Best pies on earth! Visiting for 12 years now. Do yourself a favour, when you leave the island drop in for a curry beef pie, you will not regret it 👊🏻

Great friendly staff, large variety of cakes, slices, pies, sausage rolls, bread, 🥪 🍞🥖🥐🍕🍰🍪& serves great bacon n egg rolls too.. yummy yummy yummy.. drop in, have a chat to local people that are willing n help with information.

Had a fantastic chocolate mud cake made recently for a function at the Straddie Hotel. Not only was the cake fantastic but the ladies went the extra mile and delivered it to the pub as well. Awesome price, great cake and great service - highly recommended.

Stopped to pick up some bread rolls for lunch and hubby decided to buy some sausage rolls. OMG! They were delicious! Not dry and very tasty!
