Our GP Medical Centre Creek Street

Whilst I appreciate everyone’s experience can be different - and there does seem to be multiple correlating reviews - I must say that my dealings with the Creek Street Med Centre and its staff have been amazing over the last few days.
As a walk-in patient I have found both the front desk staff and the doctor who treated me nothing short of exemplary.

I’ll shamelessly give Dr Grace Kang a plug here as she has been one of the most approachable, professional and engaging medical practitioners I can remember.
The young Medi Sec at reception has also played her part in making the logistics and timing of urgent repeat consults at very short notice far less painful (figuratively and literally!).
Sure, medical costs are always expensive, moreso without the benefit of Medicare, but even without this they are considerably cheaper than home (NZ), so found these quite reasonable in comparison.
(This is equally so for the required X-rays and ultrasound examinations by the nearby CitiScan at Level 2, 141 Queens St.)

Overall, a very positive experience – if you ignore the need for requiring medical attention in the first place.

Dr. Sue May Liow is AMAZING & caring. The staff are incredibly friendly too as medical practices can be somewhat daunting & confronting.
Great fees, great service. Lovely receptionists each time. Dr. Sue is professional, thorough , understanding & goes above & beyond. Obviously it's not just a " job ". Keep up the great work team.

I have been seeing Dr Sue May Liow now for a few months and she is the best Dr I have been too. She is so thorough, caring, kind and knows what she is talking about. All the staff there are great and the receptionist is just so lovely. I highly recommend Dr Liow to anyone looking for the best Dr in Brisbane city.

Fantastic medical practice! Wonderful people. Wonderful facilities. Most highly recommend! Dr Gihan Gunawardena is a superb GP - exceptionally knowledgeable, conscientious, on-top-of things (and ahead of things!), amazingly responsive, dedicated and caring. Lily (the medical receptionist) is the loveliest person ever; she is so organised and thoughtful, and always makes you feel so welcomed and at home. The offices are immaculately clean and well-run, a model for a medical practice. Plus, I can always get an appointment within a day or so, and be seen right on schedule. What a gem in the middle of the city! To provide some context for my five-star review: As a university professor, I have had access to top medical care in three different countries (USA, Sweden, and now Australia). I have to say that this medical practice is the best I've found - thanks to Dr Gihan, and Lily, and the other wonderful staff. I recommend with the highest enthusiasm and deepest gratitude.

OurGP on Creek Street were incredible and so supportive in helping me process an extensive set of medical tests for a work visa. Their commitment to help, humour, and diligence really made things easy. An absolute God-send in the circumstances. Special thanks to Dr Liow, Tammy, and Eltannin for going above and beyond! They have a patient for life in me.

Dr Susan Liow is attentive and thorough. She made me feel very comfortable and well-looked after.

Better than what you'd expect for a bulk billing centre.. great service, great medical care.

The female doctors are lovely however I had Dr Evan today and was very unhappy with his service. He was very rude and unprofessional. You should not have to pay for a consultation if you call and they say they can’t help over the phone….

AVOID AVOID AVOID. The way the staff here treat patients (while charging steep prices may I add) is absolutely horrific. The receptionist is quite possibly the rudest individual I have ever met while the doctors are very condescending and quite frankly seem like they don’t care.

There was a receptionist that worked there previously that was lovely but now there is another woman there who nearly had my jaw to the floor with how rude she is.

It's disheartening to see that the owners have not responded to numerous negative reviews, reflecting poorly on the practice's culture. I hope that they take feedback seriously and work towards improving their services. I plan to explore further avenues to address my concerns and ensure that other patients do not have to endure similar treatment.

Could not recommend this practice less. Swindled out of $100 to be patronised by a misogynistic Doctor whose insulting manner is clearly tolerated by management, re the numerous negative reviews which have not received a response. Clearly taking advantage of high demand in the City, Our GP Medical Centre have curated a toxic environment where poor treatment of patients is rewarded through above-market fees and ignorance to their wrongdoings.
As somebody who prioritises my health, alongside my dignity and money, I would encourage anybody who does the same to seek medical help elsewhere.

Rip off fees, the time taken inputting my details into their system chewed up the consult fee because the Dr was incredibly slow. I was not happy or comfortable with the assessment performed. 24 hours after bloods taken i receive a message saying I need to book to see Dr again for a non-urgent consult. Call the offices to get confirmation that this will not be charged as its a follow up (after having already charged $170 the day prior for the consult), receptionist is rude and tells me that's the Dr's decision but i'll most likely be in for a full consult charge - just to tell me the test results. Will never go here again and would never recommend this practice to anyone - money grubs!

AVOID! AVOID! An experience so bad it was like out of a Netflix comedy. Reception so rude and incompetent, plus the attending GP attempting to spruik the affiliated chemist and widen the scope of the consult (completely covered by Medicare BB).

Twice I have been here. First time they couldn’t take stitches out. Second time they cancelled 20 minutes before despite me explaining when I made the appointment 2 hours before I had concerning symptoms I wanted checked. I was also told because the last time I went to the clinic it was 2022 (last year) the dr would need to review my file and that would take too much time to fit me in. I won’t be going back a 3rd time.

Avoid this Practice at all costs. They always run 40+ mins late. Dr Evan Angelos tried to charge me for a consult when he looked at previous test results that I received via a seperate doctor 4 months prior. They are rude and disrespectful. Avoid.

Rostered 2 doctors for a busy weekend. 2.5hr delays, 1hr after opening. Check in "app" keeps resetting itself when asking for Medicare number also.

No appointments either? Just walk in, and wait half your day for 5 mins consult.

What a waste of time.

Unreliable. Disregard their opening hours as they close when ever they want.. example - it’s 1.30pm right now and and they’ve shut up shop and gone home for the day… you’re not closing until 5pm according to your operating hours..

What about my wifes appointment at 1.45pm??

The reception is awful
