What an amazing country pub! We had the mouth watering open souvlaki, tasty chicken burger and massive kids nuggets and chips. The food was delicious, drinks cold and lovely service. Sitting outside in the garden was perfect for young kids to run around and allowed the adults to enjoy a dinner out. Thanks to the lovely staff for making us feel so welcomed.

I phoned up to see if we could have a meal there with a group of 9 people and 3 dogs, they could have been any more accommodating. The publican said come on over and sit out the back in the beer garden, so that's what we did.
The pub is old and does look dated but don't judge a book by its cover. The meals for ALL 9 of us were 5 star, the girls in the kitchen were so lovely and working extremely hard due to staff shortages thanks to Covid. Well done Shamrock, its great to see some good old-fashioned service.

We had dinner at the Shamrock and it was a truly lovely evening. Very unassuming front of building and bar, but the bistro area is warm with a lovely roaring fire and nice interior, and the staff are friendly, helpful & welcoming. Food was simple and delicious. We have young children and the children’s menu was generous and yum. The owner was diligent with hand sanitiser and social distancing.

Your typical Oz pub with great meals no frills food reasonable priced. Nice roaring fire when we went nice warm friendly place. No table service, you order at the counter and your food is brought to you when ready which was the normal cooking time. Drinks have to be bought from a different counter so you have to pay for things as you buy them. Good very good we went back twice during our visit.

I am a kid and because I don’t like much stuff as in food I actually liked the menu. The 101 chickens menu I had the regular pub one and it was amazing. I was going to have the vegimite one but I will try it again soon. Overall good experience nice staff the only bad thing was that the queue was long but it took less time to get the food than ordering it.

Such a cozy pub with great atmosphere, nice warm fire.
Meals were huge, hot and delish! Parma was the biggest I've ever seen and juicy. Veggies cooked to perfection and chips light, fluffy and tasty. Flatty tails are fab too and plenty of them. Prices very reasonable. Staff friendly and helpful.

This was a perfect Australian dinner! We absolutely loved their chicken parma which was excellent and authentic. The atmosphere in the dining hall is great; exactly what you’d want from an Aussie country town with its own history and local feel. Also loved the music; some sophisticated but nice melodies from 70s, it added a lot to the whole experience. Thank you all, we’ll never forget this trip to Eildon and Alexandra — its cultural and culinary capital 😘

Kim's pub she has always got a friendly smile on her face staff are really friendly and cheerful, her food is absolutely superb a parma nights a really great, and the best part about the food is always so much food on the plate you can never get through it no matter how hard you try and how hungry you are

Lovely meals had the best chicken snitzel with salad and chips even the steak tender and cooked to perfection.
