We came back it was so brilliant the first time. As soon as we opened the car door we felt relaxed and comfortable. Mike and Lydia make you feel welcome and ensure you have everything you need. The house is great and extremely comfortable as a home away from home. The animal experiences are priceless. Our 5 year old thoroughly enjoyed helping Lydia do her rounds each morning and evening, the highlight of his stay. The house was safe for our 1 year old and the space on the grass for them to run, play and enjoy was ideal. The patio is very inviting to hang out on and enjoy a cuppa and the creek was perfect for swimming each day. We had a ball, once again. Thank you for having us, fig tree farm.

We absolutely adored our time here! Lydia really is the best host, the house was beautiful and went above and beyond in its amenities and creature comforts especially for children and it was just such a relaxing and comfortable environment. The animals were so close to us and the experiences we got to encounter were so special everyone from our little girl to my Mum and Dad just had the best time so there really is something for everyone there! We are already excited for when we get to book another holiday there!

This is the best family accommodation we have ever booked. The cottage is so well equipped, comfortable and thoughtfully presented that it feels like a true home away from home. You really don’t need to pack much more than clothes! The building is newly built and wonderful quality.
Then there’s the gorgeous patio area with a mud kitchen for kids, BBQ and lots of seating for the perfect outdoor family zone. The views are out of this world.
And of course, all the farm jobs like collecting eggs, feeding animals are such a highlight. Not to mention the creek to splash in!
My daughters have loved every bit of this holiday. The toys and games, the mud kitchen, the farm jobs, animals, creek, inflatable water slide Lydia brought out on a hot day, and the little trips we did to surrounding areas—which I must add have all been detailed in a folder for guests to read through.
I’ve especially enjoyed the cute gardens and the mountain views. What a delightful piece of paradise. We will be returning many times!

On our third visit we continue to be impressed by the convenience and attention to detail for our group of 3 young children and 3 adults. The children often talk about our visits and ask if we can come again. It was such a blessing to fit in 3 nights before school starts. The highlight for us this time was the creek at the bottom of the property. Lydia is a marvellous host, sharing her love for the animals. The children also enjoyed interacting with the animals & collecting eggs. Many games, dolls, cars etc are available in the air conditioned house if it is hot or wet. What a magical experience!

We stayed four nights at Fig Tree Farm with our 4 year old & 2.5 year old and in-laws. We all had the most amazing time and loved every second we spent there. Lydia the host went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed and facilitated lots of lovely animal experiences. The boys loved feeding the chickens, ducks, goats and cows.
The accomodation was clean and included everything you can think of needing including toys, books & outdoor toys.
There are also lots of things to do around the area including walks, swims, shops and more!
We highly recommend Fig Tree Farm as the perfect family getaway and we can't wait to return ourselves.

My family really enjoyed our stay here. Lydia is such a great host - she is thoughtful to our needs and provided great suggestions and clear instructions! We enjoyed her hospitality and sharing of all her beloved farm animals. She gave us our space yet we could reach out to her for assistance very easily.

The house is very comfortable and has everything we need. We had such a good rest and time together as a family. Love the freshly baked bread every morning, as well as feeding and spending time with all the friendly and happy animals!:)

Fig Tree Farm was a terrific place to enjoy for all of our 3 family generations. Our young grandkids were totally spoilt by our wonderful host, Lydia, who went out of her way to make our stay very memorable.
Nothing was too much trouble. The grandkids (& adults)loved collecting the chicken eggs , bottle feeding the gorgeous ‘kids’ ,Billy & Beau also feeding the cows, sheep, ducks & guinea pigs. Lazing in the creek at the end of the property was a great way to cool off & for the children to explore. Lydia even had a special surprise with sharing her newest addition, Goldilocks, the duckling.
The modern air-conditioned house so close to Brisbane, was a ‘home away from home’. The bread maker was popular with hot bread in the mornings & the freshly laid eggs were enjoyed for breakfast. The grandkids discovered a cupboard full of toys which was perfect entertainment when it was time to escape the summer heat outside.
We would highly recommend a Fig Tree Farm stay.

This was by far the best accommodation we have booked. So good in fact, we extended our stay and still found it hard to leave. Lydia was welcoming, helpful and friendly. Her beautiful cottage was everything and more, it is better than the photos. Both the cottage and property had plenty to offer. Our little one was extremely keen to help Lydia around the farm and tending to all the animals. She was so patient and kind to him teaching him about everything on the farm. She went above and beyond in many ways. I enjoyed the fresh bread, eggs, oranges, lettuce and herbs from the garden. The creek was a big hit with our family as was the mud kitchen! It's actually hard for us to pick one single thing we enjoyed the most, it was all incredible.
Lydia's place will not disappoint, you won't regret it.
It was a gem we didn't know we'd love so much. We will definitely book again.

It’s a perfect getaway close to Brisbane! Beautifully hosted with all the necessary ammenities while being at a farm. Cottage is well- equipped; I loved the garden and the fire pit, everything is so well maintained!
Above all, Lydia is a great host, super friendly and eager to assist you with anything you may need….Highly recommend this far stay, relaxing for parents and great for kids who love animals 😀!

Both my husband and I, along with other family members, have been lucky enough to stay twice at Fig Tree Farm, first time in August to celebrate our grandson's 8th birthday and just recently in November to help celebrate our granddaughter's 6th birthday. As we live interstate and don't get to see our grandchildren very often, Fig Tree Farm was the perfect place to reconnect and spend time with family. All our grandchildren adored every aspect of our stay, especially feeding the animals and collecting the eggs every day... and we all loved the fresh bread we could bake daily and the breakfast condiments provided. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable, spotlessly clean and in such a beautiful and peaceful location. The children learnt so much from Lydia who is so kind, patient and clearly passionate about her animals and the environment they live in. Our stay at Fig Tree Farm was truly memorable and we look forward to returning in 2024.

Fig Tree Farm is a slice of paradise. Lydia is the most amazing host. She goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The cottage has everything you need for a perfect stay. The animals are so well looked after and are a delight to interact with. The view is beautiful and it just feels so calm to be sitting outside enjoying the sunsets. My daughter and I loved our time there.

We had the most amazing 4 nights at Fig Tree Farm, exceeded my expectations in every way. Lydia is the best Host. She really goes above and beyond and our kids adored her. Never known two children to get dressed and out the door so fast! As soon as they spotted Lydia they were out to help with farm chores. They loved being around all the animals. All. The. Time.
The accommodation is so clean and has everything you need. Waking up to the sunrise and the smell of baking bread was perfect! Lydia shares so much local knowledge, plenty to do in the area. Our kids couldn't wait to return to the farm every time we left so we didn't venture far. The animals are so gentle and friendly with children - like animals who are loved and secure in their environment always are. Lydia is the most patient of Farmers. Book it, you won't regret it. Oh and try the Grapefruit- it's delicious.

We had such a great time at the farm stay. Lydia made us feel right at home and everything was so beautiful and comfortable. My young nephew thought everything was awesome and had so much fun interacting with all the friendly animals and his new bestie Lydia. We enjoyed the fresh eggs daily, freshly baked bread and spending afternoons by the fire pit. There was lots to keep the young ones entertained

Fig Tree Farm is the most delightful slice of heaven and more than met our expectations. The accommodation is perfect, spotlessly clean and full to the brim with everything you could possibly need to make your stay just perfect. We have been made to feel so very welcome by Lydia and she has taken so much time to make sure we are settled into our “home” and made us all feel so very welcome. The food, the fire pit of an evening, the beautiful animals as well extraordinary sunrises and sunsets have made our family holiday one to cherish and the memories made with our grandchildren will be so special to us to look back on. We highly recommend Fig Tree Farm for that perfect getaway and if you are after that five star treatment then this is definitely for you. This beautiful property can only be described as “Heaven on Earth”. From the moment we booked, Lydia was so attentive with her emails, getting to know us and building excitement for our impending stay. And wow, what a magical place! It was breathtaking as we drove through the driveway, the view is incredible. We were all as excited as our 3 year old when we saw the beautiful animals and our grins just grew as we walked through the doors of the most immaculate, beautiful and well supplied cottage we have ever stayed in. Lydia and Michael have thought of everything! From collecting fresh eggs, baking beautiful fresh bread in the cottage and visiting, patting and feeding the animals daily, we adored every single second we spent at Fig Tree Farm. The amenities are extraordinary, the cottage is presented to the highest standards, there really is no need to leave and we can’t wait to re-book our next visit and stay put a little more to enjoy every aspect that Fig Tree Farm has to offer. Lydia, Michael and their family made us feel so at home and treated us like family. We adored our evening visits from the “Benny Pigs” (Guinea pigs), they were such a highlight for our little guy and it was a really nice chance to chat to Lydia to learn more about the animals and their beautiful property. Thank you for providing such a beautiful place to stay, we will be back.

If you want a home away from home, Lydia and Mike have created a relaxing, clean, tidy and overall wonderful place to stay. The cottage is really just a small house with everything you need so if you're thinking little cottage, think again.

Our three children had plenty to do between brushing and petting goats and sheep, feeding chickens, ducks and cows, playing down at the creek and playing with the extensive range of toys, games and puzzles available. Better than any place we've stayed before! The outdoor mud kitchen and grass putt putt were also a huge hit.

The farm and cottage are set up in a way that people can be as involved in the farm as much or as little as they like. If watching animals is more your thing, rather than being in with them, you can sit and enjoy them as you overlook the paddocks from the verandah and fire pit area. For families, the kids can run around and still be supervised as the adults take a minute to relax outside as well.

After a short weekend trip, we can see why there are many return visitors and why people stay longer. Lydia, thank you for your hospitality and for being so wonderful with our boys. They now want their own goats but there is divide on horns or no horns 🤣.

Perfect stay for celebrating a birthday and engagement with the family. Lydia is the perfect host and makes sure every comfort is catered for, including fresh baked bread, farm eggs and welcome breakfast basket. Her farm experience for the children is outstanding and she keeps an impeccable environment for all her animals.

Wow! What can I say, from the moment we drove down the drive way to the beautiful cottage we were instantly relaxed. The calmness this gorgeous place gives is indescribable. From the country feel to the gorgeous cottage that is so well maintained and stocked with everything you could ask for especially with children. Lydia has left nothing out. A designated games cupboard, gumboots for the whole family and the delicious breakfasts. The animals were a hit with our whole family and the kids loved the interaction that Lydia provides. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back again.

We had a wonderful time with the family at Lydia’s place. She is a wonderful host and the children loved every minute with all the great animals, toys and space to run around as well as things to do in the local area. The cottage is very modern and extremely clean with everything we needed during our stay including the amazing fresh eggs each morning.. Thanks so much for one of the best holidays we have had.
