I can’t recommend Mel and Bumps Pilates highly enough!! I have been going since I was 12 weeks pregnant with twins and this regular pilates no doubt helped me to get to full term and aided with my speedy recovery. Mel’s guidance during the classes is excellent and she corrects technique or adapts if something is sore or not feeling great. For the postnatal classes she is able to adjust our level according to our progress. I would highly recommend for anyone who is pregnant or postnatal.

After a tough pregnancy suffering from Pre-eclampsia, Postnatal Pilates with Mel was an absolute life saver. I went from being barely able to hold my newborn son to feeling strong, fit and pain-free. Thanks so much Mel!

It’s my first pregnancy and I’m pregnant with twins. A friend recommended I looked into prenatal reformer Pilates led by a physiotherapist to stay strong and active throughout the 9 months.
I started prenatal reformer pilates with Melissa at in March this year. I was nervous and anxious at first having had zero experience with Pilates and a reformer bed. Melissa is a great communicator and provides clear instructions for you to follow along to (even as beginner). She travels around the room providing corrections as required to ensure you are doing the exercises safely / correctly.
I feel that I’m stronger, more conscious of my posture and wellbeing than I did at the beginning of my pregnancy.
I will definitely be back for postnatal classes once I’m cleared to exercise after giving birth.
I’d highly recommend Bumps Pilates to any person wanting to stay strong and active whilst pregnant or after giving birth.

I love attending Bumps Pilates Classes. I appreciate how it's especially tailored to Mum's to be and new Mums and thoughtfully planned with this in mind. You can feel good knowing that the exercises are safe for your ever changing body and Melissa can adapt any exercise to suit depending on how you are feeling on the day. With focus on form and building up strength and support in the body where needed, my body and my mind are really grateful that these classes exist!

I was having a lot of pelvic pain. Melissa took the time to get to know my body and helped tailor the right exercises to strengthen my body during and post pregnancy. It was thanks to her that I was able to actively move and birth naturally. I'm very grateful for all her help. I highly recommend Melissa, and recommend her to all my friends.

Excellent reformer pilates specifically tailored to 2nd/3rd trimester and postnatal individuals. Melissa and the team are fantastic and help to correct form. The studio located in Good Life gym is clean and modern, class sizes are reasonable, and parking is easy to find. Highly recommended!

Melissa and the team at Bumps Pilates are fantastic. The classes are affordable, fun and really effective. I did regular classes before and after both of my pregnancies and I have no doubt that it made a significant positive difference to my health and well-being. Mel was always supportive and corrected my technique to ensure I was doing in properly, which is not always the case with other group pilates classes that I have attended. I really appreciated that.

I have been going for almost 5 years, antenatal and postnatal. I love it. Definitely stronger now than pre kids.
Melissa is fabulous. She makes sure you do the exercises correctly and challenges you so you always get something out of her classes.
I have never found her manner to be unconstructive or opinionated.
I also started with no prior Pilates experience.
To the previous reviewer - don't let one experience put your wife off. Maybe another class or Pilates studio will suit her better, but it's great to do something for your body. Children are hard work

Fantastic classes, and run by extremely friendly and knowledgable physio. I was referred here by my physio when I had some pain during my pregnancy. Very worthwhile both during pregnancy and afterwards, heartily recommend!

Love going to my classes with Mel. She’s really knowledgable and I can trust she’s running a safe but also fun and challenging class. I’m a women’s health physio myself and I always recommend my patients to come here.

Great classes. I hadn’t done reformer pilates before, felt well supported starting during pregnancy. Definitely helped my strength and preventing back pain.

Mel is so welcoming and accommodating. She made me feel comfortable from day 1.
Couldn't recommend Bumps to any pre or post natal women enough.

My wife went to bumps and came back in tears. The owner Melissa is obviously not a people person and insulted the group of women. She made comments about “women choosing to have too many ‘interventions’ when giving birth these days”. My wife and her friend had to both have emergency caesareans that ended up saving theirs and their newborn sons’ lives. The last thing they needed was a lecture from this woman with raised eyebrows about women being “too quick to seek intervention these days”. They also did not need to hear about Melissa’s three intervention-free births.
New mums are coming to these classes with the precious little time they can get away from their babies with almost zero energy, to have to endure a berating lecture from the woman who runs this company is just adding insult to injury.
Her teaching style also left a bad taste in some of our other friend’s mouths, one mum clearly irritating Melissa because she had never done a Pilates class before and didn’t know the correct moves yet.
Why this woman runs these classes that are supposed to help mums and mums-to-be is beyond me.
