We’ve been travelling aus for a year now and always looking for new experiences! We have little knowledge in fishing but that didn’t matter! Ryan (the owner, the legend) was more than happy to help and offer advice! We both left there catching a few fish each! You can buy or throw back what you catch, which is great! Don't miss this top spot! Easy peasy access en route to Mission Beach guarantees the thrill of hooking a Barramundi under the expert tutelage of Ryan. While visiting we bought some red spangled emperor fillets which were utterly delicious.

Loved our visit to the farm as a family weekend getaway. Fisherman son who is 8 had heaps of fun catching so many fishes! And hospital by Ryan is real bonus. Can’t wait to go back again.

Went to the farm with my family and almost died…
from having the most fun I’ve ever had in my life fishing for Barra. I never wanted to leave.
Ryan and Tat are the most accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable people you will ever meet. The fish they keep taste like they were sent down from the heavens. So clean and fresh that you will never want to eat another fish again unless it comes from their farm.

Great place for fishing, especially for kids. Ryan is a great host!

Ryan is a top bloke, very friendly and welcoming. Took the kids while we where on holiday and they caught alot of fish. We brought some fresh fillets for dinner, no bones and very fresh absolutely delicious.

The owner was extremely nice and helpful with catching barra it was a one heck of a day and it was a amazing experience.

Amazing experience and wonderful to meet Ryan! The ponds are easily accessible for people of ages and experience, fishing gear is provided or you can bring your own. Highly recommended! Bring the family!

My son brought us to this place while on holiday at Mission Beach. Not only was it a fun way to pass a couple hours fishing and exploring the lush property, but we got a delicious barramundi dinner later that night from our fresh catch!

Best experience at Down Under Barra. Ryan was super nice and welcoming and gave us the time of the day to chat about fishing and his farming. We caught 10 healthy freshwater Barra in a couple of hours. 10/10 for friendly service from Ryan and his lovely partner! Best way to spend the day :)

Visited today. Ryan was fantastic, a wealth of knowledge and a genuine fella.
Caught heaps of barra and one over 2kg which went on the barbie tonight. Highly recommended for a fun time. Will definitely be back.

What an awesome day fishing for barramundi at this farm. Ryan & Tatiana are patient & kind while they helped this first timer. Highly recommend stopping here while on holiday or just passing by!

Best Barramundi I have eaten! So fresh and doesn't have the 'muddy' taste often associated with this type of fish. If you can get your hands on some of their produce, you wont be disappointed.

A must if you like an excellent meal of barramundi. Duncan and his wife have worked sensationally hard to provide what I see as a sustainable way to harvest one of our favourite fish. We are only visiting the area, but are now onto our fifth barramundi meal! A fantastic visit for the best value barramundi I've eaten.
