Our visit to Charlie the Chocolate Factory in Mission Beach, Queensland, was an absolute delight!

Though our time there was brief due to our late arrival after 2 pm, the experience left a lasting impression. From the moment we entered, the staff's warmth and friendliness made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable visit.

What truly stood out was the informative and detailed explanation provided by the staff about all the products and the local chocolate-making process. Their passion for chocolate and their dedication to sharing their knowledge shone through as they guided us through the various stages of chocolate production. It was evident that they took great pride in their craft, and their enthusiasm was infectious.

Exploring the factory and witnessing the chocolate-making process up close was a fascinating experience. The attention to detail and the commitment to using local ingredients showcased a genuine commitment to quality.

Despite our limited time, we were able to savor some of their delectable chocolates, and each bite was a testament to their dedication to creating exceptional treats. From traditional favorites to unique creations, their chocolate offerings were diverse and indulgent.

Our visit to Charlie the Chocolate Factory was not just about enjoying delicious chocolates; it was also a delightful educational experience. We left with a deeper appreciation for the art of chocolate making and a bag full of scrumptious chocolates to savor later.

In conclusion, Charlie the Chocolate Factory in Mission Beach is a must-visit for chocolate enthusiasts and anyone looking to explore the world of artisanal chocolate. The friendly staff, informative tours, and, of course, the mouthwatering chocolates make it a gem of a destination. We look forward to returning for a more extended visit in the future to fully immerse ourselves in this chocolatey paradise. 🍫🏭🌴

Chris led an informative and interesting tour. Cacao is grown and processed on the property and you can purchase chocolate. Kids are kept entertained with colouring books.

Great way to learn about history and process of making chocolate, this husband and wife team make this tour interesting with their knowledge and passion of the cocoa bean. With lots of opportunities to taste the award winning chocolates they make right there at the farm.

Even in the rain this is a great tour. The hosts, Chris and Lyn are knowledgeable and communicate so much information in a well organised and entertaining package. They exude enthusiasm for their business. It was most interesting to learn about the process from seed to finished chocolate bar and the chocolate tasting....mmmmm! A burger lunch is provided cooked by the local Lions Club. There is plenty of opportunity to purchase the products. Support for local growers and the community is most evident. Excellent value!

I love the Charlies macadamia range also enjoyed the Davidson plum.
Salted caramel was nice, the coffee bar a bit different. Every bar is well made AAAA+.
One thing I ready enjoyed was how fast it come to my door, they were well packed.
One thing you do notice is the company goes out of their way for their customers from email notifications and invoice.
Can’t wait to see the Easter range hint may be a Davidson plum rabbit.

Charley's Chocolate Factory is a wonderful place to spend a few hours while visiting Mission Beach. The passionate owners and workers show you how they plant, grow, harvest, and make cocoa and chocolate, all on the premises. It's fascinating and delivered with great knowledge and good humour. A delicious local lunch is included, and you can stock up on the award winning chocolate at the end of the tour. Highly recommended!

I gave the Factory a 5/5 because they make their own chocolate from tree to bar. It's not Cadbury but locally made with an international flair. Don't expect a Disneyland experience but a simple, handmade chocolate experience where the flavour & taste is front & centre

Great fun at this little hidden gem. Interesting to see the life cycle of chocolate, including standing right next to the mature plant and tasting the fresh fruit from the pod. This husband and wife team have made a great experience that is informative and good fun for all ages. Finish off the tour with chocolate samples and a Burger for lunch. A must do if you are in the area.

I'm laughing a little reading people's comments about the lunch not being up to scratch and children being bitten by bugs... Seriously. It's a tour of a cocoa plantation.. You pay a super cheap price and you want 5 star lunch?? Think about how crazy that is. We went as a group of 4 and all absolutely loved it. Very fascinating, Chris and Lyn have done so well to achieve what they have.
Yes, it's hot, you're in the tropics!
Fantastic tour, would highly recommend to anyone of any age who wants to know more about the world :)
Burger patties were so delicious! Definitely homemade

Chris and Lynn delivered what they promised in their 2 hour tour of their commercial cocoa and chocolate facility.
A great snapshot of history combined with a glimpse of how they produce their award winning chocolates, it was worth money we spent. Although aimed at adults, the kids were catered for with some colouring in and a quiz to complete. Children who listened carefully enough were rewarded for their efforts. The BBQ lunch was enjoyable but don't expect a Cafe experience, this is a working farm experience.
The highlight by far was tasting their amazing chocolate products, some of which include pieces of local tropical products such as pineapple and Davidson's plum. We bought our fair share home and I expect their will be online orders in our future too.

It was a very interesting tour. Good to see people of Australia learned to grow coco pods and to make chocolate here in a very natural way. We had lot's of tasting too. We can highly recommend it, since the owners do the tour themselves.

If you have ever wondered how chocolate goes from bean to bar than this is your chance to find out. And even if you didn't wonder you will still find this tour fascinating. Lynn and Chris take you through their journey of establishing their chocolate plantation to making their chocolate bars. This is Australia's only bean to bar experience and should not be missed. Plus there's an impressive number of tastings followed by a light lunch. Great for older children, say 10 or older, but not suitable for young children. It's a working plantation so children are not free to roam and don't have the attention span for the tour.
