Such a beautiful view at the top! The trail was quite easy, took us around 2.5 hours to complete (not including time spent at the waterfall). We didn’t have issues with leeches or mosquitoes. Did see a snake though so be aware. Follow @lapwithnomap on IG for more!

We did this early at 4am with headlamps so we could see the sunrise. It was beautiful. The track was really easy to walk on, even with headlamps on we had no problems. The views at the falls are just so amazing, you’ll just love it

Gorgeous, simply cannot recommend enough. Make sure you bring insect repellent and wear long socks and pants - plenty of leeches around. The track is well maintained and well marked. not too technical. It's a 90 minute walk each way, but could be longer if you stop for breaks. Only thing I'll say is if you want a good view of the water fall there is a bit if a rock climb down. It's not too challenging ( you won't need any ropes or equipment) but make sure you're prepared for it. Be careful - the edge is very precarious and the water flows fast. I've seen people swimming up the top but I can't recommend it. It would be possible to get washed off the cliff face. It is a sheer drop off the edge.

From the Carpark to the Waterfall/lookout it is 5.7km

Highly recommend not going if it has rained, the trek is terrible and muddy, plus you won't be able to swim as the falls are wayyy too rough

The trek is mostly flat, but does has steep inclines.

When I went a lady died, trying to cross the rocks to the other side and got knocked out and the water took her over the edge.

If you want to cool off maybe go up stream a little as there are smaller pools

So be really careful.

Left the car park at around 5am and walked the track in the dark with a head torch. Easy enough walk, carried a stick to avoid spider webs although there were very few across the path. Seeing the sun rise over the hills from the top of the water was incredible. One of my favourite waterfall experiences ever.

About 11km return walk. Very easy and flat. It only becomes steep on the last 100m ish heading down to the falls.
If you have a drone I highly recommend taking it the shots / waterfall is incredible.
Loved this walk and waterfall

One of my favourite infinity pool near Cairns. Worth to hike for 1.5-hour through tropical forest Wooroonooran NationalPark. Not recommended for family with kids due to slippery steep descent (100m going down to the waterfall). Please take bottle of water with you and be prepared as there's no public toilet. To visit this falls sunrise is better than sunset.

A long walk, very muddy when we did it, definitely take good shoes. We were first on the track in the morning and we encountered the biggest pigs I've ever seen, but they ran off. The track goes through rainforest, and later alpine type woodlands, then alternating with forest again.
The last few metres to the falls are quite steep, but achievable for the brave and able bodied. The views are spectacular, and there is a small spot relatively safe for swimming as long as you aren't afraid of heights! Quite the insta shot, one would say.

Honestly an amazing place. Keeping a decent pace with no stops, I did it in 60 mins. Walking back alone in the dark is scary af, I don't recommend it. But there are fireflies in the forest which was cool. I had a run in with a boar but idk who was more scared of who. And cassowarys start screeching in the afternoon and sound like dinosaurs. I nearly ran on top of a rabbit. It was a wild ride night alright?! Go at a reasonable hour and enjoy it :) Well worth the hike. Why are you still reading? Go do it

The walk from the car park can take between 1hr15 (active people) to 2hrs (casual walkers) and includes a steep descent to the falls that most could compete with caution. The views are definitely worth the walk but remember the dangers of heights and water when there.

Good walk, beautiful bushland and spectacular views. Red bellied black snakes often sighted on track... Just be careful and go around them. Stunning chonky snakes!

Fairly long but relaxed hike to the falls, it’s mostly flat with a bit of a steep climb and decent as you reach the falls. Really enjoyed doing this one in the early morning.

Had a great time. Walk in was a bit over an hour. Unfortunately the water was flowing far too strong to get the Infinity edge but it was spectacular none the less!

This was a bit over 11klms hike round trip. The walk to the falls was easy, nice and shaded. I did find the walk back more difficult as I didn’t realise the easy walk to the falls was a slight decline which was now an incline for the 6klms back and I wasn’t as fit as I used to be. However, the falls are absolutely amazing and I am so glad I finally made there it after wanting to do the walk for a couple of years.

Incredible experience for a sunrise. 12km return - most of which is easy other than the descent to the top of the falls. Spectacular and a must do!

Amazing hike. Be prepared that the hike is quit long but mostly flat. But definitely worth it for us!

Hiked in July. Fairly moderate hike and drive to the trailhead is reasonable for my rental midsize SUV. Beautiful hike. No Leeches but very muddy at the first 3k of the hike. 3.5 hours round trip with lots of photos.

An amazing location with an incredible view, however the walk is not for the faint of heart, at around 5-10ks through bush and shrubs. Also the falls itself are rocky and treacherous so it is imperative that you are careful. Well worth the walk if you are up for it but you must be careful while at the falls themselves.
