Westpac Branch Southport

Lovely little branch, had a little bit of a waiting line, but not too bad. They helped me with my issues very quickly and checked afterwards as well. I was served with a smile and a little chit chat, wonderful service.

A couple of weeks ago my partner and me really had a problem because I didn't get paid by my employer and we had to pay the rent. We asked for a credit, what was not possible but the branch manager from Westpac got us an unbelievable customer service, probably the best one I've ever got by a bank employee in my life! He rang my employer and sorted it out for me that I got paid straight away and he also even wanted to contact our landlord to explain her, that we will be able to pay the next day. He was extremely friendly and showed us again how great people are in this country.

Unlike other banks,they stuck to their policy! I was telling them how hard it was when I needed hundred dollar notes as other banks told me they didn't have that(in change) & the teller told me"I promise if you were a Westpac customer we'll always have more than a $100 note in change". As it turns out I became a Westpac customer & they've stuck to their word-I'm "a happy camper" now!

I often visit with a friend. The staff where very friendly and courteous.

Long wait times

Similar to other Big 4 in Australia, they offer you nothing as a business customer. Been with them 4+ years now; they don't understand your business, don't offer anything against the equity in your property either.

There definitely is an element of racial profiling against ethnic business banking customers. A common theme among all big 4s. I've seen them extend lending to silly bars closing down in a few months after opening and to sports nutrition businesses going bust as well.

Definitely the worst Westpac Branch we have dealt with for various reasons including:
1. Very poor customer service
2. Discriminatory behaviour
3. Racial profiling
4. Obstacles to every problems instead of offering solutions
Consistent appalling customer service throughout last 18 months. We opted not to deal with the branch any longer.

They don't answering the phone and if you leave them a message it take ages till they call you back. And if they call you back they are unfriendly and disrespectful. This is how you deal with costumers? Shame on you westpac

Opened a business account here for our Australian company. The paperwork was 'wrong' and this has caused no end of pain. Westpac please close our account.
