The Island Gold Coast

This place is fantastic. Affordable and comfortable. The staff were absolutely wonderful, including reception and the bar staff. There's many small finishings that just make the experience easy and relaxing. The rooms have QR code menu access and the food is really exceptional. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and finished with high quality soaps/shampoos etc. the location is perfect for beach, shops. There's a great pool area with complimentary towels and a great bar that also does coffee and food. The rooftop bar is also a great venue. Overall this was a wonderful stay and I'm definitely coming back.

All to all great. Rooms nice and tidy, clean, bathroom had no ventilation but it was still good, the building is old but everything else was good, great location and staff is friendly. Maybe not so family oriented but still kids had a nice time

My cousin had her 21st at the Island’s Pool Deck function space last week and we were beyond happy with our experience! The staff with us all night were genuinely very lovely and helpful and catered to all our requests graciously. Kai’s service was so warm and our bartenders Sergio and Adhiraj were great! Definitely a fan of functions held at the Island, as this is my second experience with lovely customer service and management.

After a long day travelling we were welcomed very lovely at check in.The hotel service and location was great,the vibe was good, Kids loved it. We felt very comfortable and it was very clean.We had to check out a little bit later due to changes. Bex at the reception helped us out and made sure we could check out later with no stress with kids and was very lovely.Thanks so much for the great stay.We will def.come again

We held a VIP party for our client in the Penthouse, what a fabulous space. The staff and event team were great in the lead up and executed an amazing event on the night.

Right in the action at Surfers. Reception service fantastic, but the team lose one star for the restaurant as the staff just didn’t seem that bothered or helpful. No smile
, no festive cheer (it was New Year!) come on guys. 🤷🏻 Hotel is old and dated, they have tried to smarten it up and it’s not bad having in mind that most of that locations hotels and complex’s are old (1960/70). Rooms were clean and presented to an acceptable level.

We loved our stay at The Island. Our family of 5 fit perfectly in the suite and we had a great time. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly. There is some noise at night but that is to be expected staying in the heart of Surfers Paradise.

Our wedding at The Island Gold Coast Penthouse was absolutely magical. The penthouse is stunning with its panoramic views, rooftop open air bar, art deco inspired styling, even the bathrooms are gorgeous.

From start to finish, our wedding coordinator, Jenna, was an absolute gem. She handled every detail with grace and professionalism, ensuring our day was flawless and stress-free. Jenna's expertise and unwavering commitment made all the difference, and we couldn't have asked for a better guide through the planning process.

The food and beverages served at our reception was far beyond expectations (we had canapes, a shared menu dinner and a carvery at the end of the night), leaving our guests raving about the delicious food. The staff's courtesy and attentiveness added to the overall wonderful experience.

Held a Corporate Event at The Island Gold Coast. The event staff, including Destiny, Emma, Patrick, Alex, Chantelle, James, and Laura, were phenomenal. Their professionalism and friendliness made the evening seamless. Highly recommend!

Ultra cozy spacious room wity blackout drapes. Nice kitchenette with toaster. Iron and board and balcony. The complimentary drinks and the breakfast was delicious. Also Room service, pool, jacuzzi and casino it gives variety. The beach is around 4 mins walking a few feet away. Located in the heart of surfers paradise ✨ Enjoy 😉 ♥

Had our Christmas Party there on the Pool deck and the staff were amazing. The food and drinks were exceptional.

We had our wedding reception at the Glasshouse and stayed at the island. Thank you is not enough! Jenna and the team! Made our day happen and it was perfect! The service, the food, our stay, our day… it was so much better than we expected! We had a lot of delays and last minute changes due to our family situation but Jenna and the team worked with us and made it happen! We booked a room for our family and we also got a complimentary room included in our package.. and the team at reception… We so accommodating I could cry! Our rooms were amazing! Again! Thank you is not enough! For everything and everyone who gave us the best weekend!

The twin suite was excellent; perfect for a girls getting ready area. Big enough for 4 to share comfortably. The pool was lovely and the extra bubbly section was super relaxing. The very friendly and helpful reception staff were great, and the mimosa on arrival after a long long drive was very welcome. Lunch at Goldie's was also delicious and very accomodating.

We had a function at the Pool Side area and we had great communication with the Chantelle and Emma to organise the event. Kai managed the bar and food service very professionally all afternoon and was a great communicator, very friendly & polite all our guests made that comment. 10/10

Nate is a true asset to the team. His professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency made my stay enjoyable. Always greeted with a smile, he ensured a seamless check-in/out process. Top-notch service!

Hi all Bond University Doctor of Physiotherapy Program held their annual Ball at the Island in the Penthouse last Friday (12th Jan). The venue was perfect, the food amazing and the staff were better than fantastic! A huge thank you to Emma for a seamless organisation of the event, your generosity and attention to detail outstanding!

The interior design is warm and comfortable, much nicer than a big chain hotel. Breakfast and cocktails were great. Dene the customer experience manager went the extra mile for our stay and it was really appreciated.

We had an amazing stay , the lady at front desk Pollina was exceptional, communication and friendliness top notch ! massively happy with her service and the hotel was grand too.have to commend Kai down at the main bar as he was also fantastic and had amazing hospitality . Thanks guys !
