One Plus One Kitchen

Was recommended by a friend to try one plus one and it's definitely a place i will go back to for simple classic chinese food!
Things we ordered:
Duck fried rice - good wok hei, full of flavour, i'll happily go back just to get their fried rice
Cumim lamb - well seasoned, very tender and juicy lamb ribs!😋
Chicken and mushroom braise in claypot? - nice hearty stew that will go very well with rice
Overall really enjoyed my meal, go early as they can get quite crowded, and they also do lots of takeaways

Hands down the most authentic Chinese restaurant on the north side of Brisbane. We regularly visit here for meals and the food quality has always been very good. Staff are always courteous and friendly, no matter how busy they are. We love all their noodle and rice dishes, as well as all the other lamb and fish dishes. Food is always cooked and fried to the right temperature, and tasted fresh, delicious, and full of flavour. Their prices and portion size are very reasonable. This is our local go to Chinese restaurant in Chermside.

One Plus One Kitchen is hands down my go-to Asian restaurant in Brisbane! I dine here regularly, and each visit reaffirms why it's earned a special place in my heart. From the delectable cuisine to the outstanding service, this restaurant consistently exceeds my expectations.

The authenticity of their Chinese cooking is truly impressive. I can taste the care and dedication that goes into every dish. Whether I'm in the mood for some (Lala) Pipi's, the mouthwatering Braised Pork Belly Rice Bowl, or their exquisite Szechuan Mapo Tofu, One Plus One Kitchen always delivers with flavors that transport me straight to the heart of China.

The service is impeccable, and the staff here is always warm and welcoming. They make you feel right at home, and they're more than happy to provide recommendations if you're feeling adventurous or are new to Chinese cuisine. They're attentive without being intrusive, striking that perfect balance for a dining experience.

The ambiance is cozy, and the restaurant is always kept clean while not being big on the decor it is all about the food! Whether I'm dining in or ordering takeout, the quality remains consistently exceptional.

Service is great, staffs are really friendly, food is pretty yummy with good amount of serving. Recommend people who live around this area give it try.

Our absolute GOTO local Asian eat in or take out. Lots of choices lots of flavour. Gets busy so be early!

Have been here twice and each time have been very pleasant. Ingredients taste fresh. This is a new favourite so will definitely be going in more often.

I got the hand cut noodles with pork and they were beyond sensational. An absolute gem. You would be made to eat in the plaza with this near by.

Beef noodles were superb! Suitable for little kids as well without being too salty. Open to accommodate dietary requirements.

I was introduced to one plus one by my best friend and since then it’s been the go to place for our family for great tasting Chinese food.

I’ve had many different meals since I first went and I they have always tasted fantastic and had amazing texture to suit the dish. The chef who makes the food and sauces is amazing.

Wok tossed cumin lamb chops:
The strong flavour and crispy texture of the lamb chops prepared to leave the perfect amount of fat on the bone mix together to form a very addictive dish. My favourite dish.

While barramundi in ginger and shallots or sweet and sour sauces:
Both are great depending on the mood you’re in. The sweet and sour fish is fried to leave the fish perfectly cooked and juicy and the skin very crispy to balance the sauce. The ginger and shallots fish has a very subtle flavour that works well with the fish and is a much gentler options. Both great. Equal favourite.

Malang tang:
We ordered this soup by selecting different things from the list but they now have a pre-selected malangtang which i think is a great idea as it’s hard to get the mix right. The soup broth is very rich and deep in flavour.

Whole clams in ginger and shallots:
Great quality clams with a great tasting sauce that’s just right to let the clam taste through.

Sichuan spicy hot pot:
A very strong flavoured dish with a good combination of ingredients. The peppers leave your mouth with that perfect numb feeling from eating Sichuan food.

I highly recommend this place. All the dishes I’ve had are winners, and I can’t wait to try the rest of them.

Came here at 6:30 on a weekday and the atmosphere was lovely. Calm but busy, the food was brought out fairly quickly and wow wow, was it good! Highly recommend the honey chicken, special fried rice and the pork hot pot. The chicken was almost fat free and only $13, the serving sizes were huge for what you pay. The broth was rich and the perfect amount of salty and spicy. The lady at the front counter was very welcoming and lovely. Clean seats and tables too. We will be back!

Absolutely delicious food. Good serving size and price. They have several vegetarian/ vegan dishes also. Order regularly from uber eats and dine in both are great. Their Mapo tofu is to die for

I’d like to propose a challenge to everyone who believes they’ve found the best Chinese Restaurant in Brisbane. Because this is it! I challenge you to go here and prove me wrong. Because the food is exceptional, whether you dine in or takeaway. It is consistently delicious!
From the shredded duck noodles, to the braised pork belly, or slow cooked beef. It’s all fantastic! I love this place!

A true gem in Chermside - the food is always super yummy and affordable, served piping hot. If you like your dish to be a bit more spicy, simply let them know and they'd happily oblige. Love coming here on a Friday night for a comfort meal!

Step it up to some traditional Sichuan dishes with serious flavour and authenticity.

This family-run place is _refreshingly_ authentic, with some of the best Chinese food I've eaten anywhere!

Try the jelly desert. You'll thank me. And keep coming back for more!
