The Full Moon Hotel

First time to this awesome hotel for a lunch - again we had the pram congo line happening ( 4 x prams with babies under 8 months old - for those following along we are 4 work friends who happen to be on maternity leave at the same time :). We had reserved seating in the 'kids area' which was great to park said prams and have space at the table. Also not to bother other patrons on a rainy Monday afternoon.

QR codes for ordering - which I prefer. Drinks and meals came out promptly with lovely staff. Good selection of meals. Change rooms for babies are in the accessible bathroom with the pull down 'table' FYI. Nice atmosphere with solo diners, couples, work colleagues working/lunching, friendship groups and families. Lots of choices to be seated as well from what I could see (outside, high chair / tables, inside near the play equipment and long high tables). There is parking on the street and out the back but for pram access you need to come around the front (FYI).

Would I be back? You bet, unfortunately for me it is not my local but would happily come back here anytime, love the fact it is away from the busy intersection of Sandgate in general.

Great spot, always has been. Service is good. Range of beers good, atmosphere good, location good. I was quite impressed today. The service was great while the place was super busy. Good job. :)

Nice laid back vibe out on the deck. The prawn pizza was a culinary delight worth getting into ya. Parma was good too.
I was a music bingo virgin when I turned up here, and left as a bingo bimbo. Good fun aye.

We had a lovely dinner at the full moon hotel. Very friendly for kids with their large play area. The layout had lots of different seating areas.

Discovered for the first time today and I think we'll be making it a regular spot for sure! We stopped in for breakfast, which was delish! The kids area is super cute and right by a section of the seating area so as parents, we could sit and enjoy brunch with eyes on the little ones.
The one downside is the size of their coffees. Their "large" feels like a standard cups size and I would've enjoyed a mug, especially at mug prices.
Very excited to come back with friends for later seatings and try their lychee martini!

We had an amazing night with incredible service.
Levi was a patient, selfless, helpful and generous server. The 10 of us on the table really enjoy our experience.

Unfortunately, this was our first time back since covid and boy when we first walked in the updated changes are so phenomenal. The decor was ok before, but now it looks awesome. Very coastal looking, plus the old sash style windows throughout is so reminiscent of Sandgate queenslander homes. The food was fantastic. My wife had the veal cutlets 👌 and I ordered the trout, both so delicious. The place was massively busy, but the staff did not look flustered, which is so pleasing to see. Thanks for a great time, and we'll be back again.

This was not a hotel providing accommodation. The restaurant and the staff were excellent. The food was delicious and, of course, the beer was refreshing. My daughter and her husband took me there for my 70th, and I fully recommend the place. Bonus? The wonderful view from the verandah.

Great food at great prices
Vegan options are good and very good to see they have lots of options for vegans. My favourite is the garlic & spinach bread with vegan cheese ( think you have to ask for this to be changed)
I also had my 40th birthday party here and the room was nice and food served was lovely. Great staff and amazing location

Got married in the Shorncliffe room yesterday. Never been married before and don't plan to do it again so wanted to get it right the first time. The manager Jenny was an absolute legend. Everything was perfect and Jenny is an angel. Jenny should get a raise or a bonus. Everyone was so professional. We emailed back and forth with Christine too and she was so helpful and amazing so I reckon she's due for a bonus or a raise too. Thanks team you're all absolute legends. Also my mate says that the coffee was good. Also my other mate enjoyed his hot chocolate (thats a massive compliment coming from him tbh ). Thanks you legends. Hopefully won't be back to get married again but if I was going to get married again(which I won't) then I would be back for round 2. Thanks heaps you're all amazing and should get a raise and keep up the hot chocolate making skills. By the way my friend is vegan and she thinks vegan food at weddings is trash but she loved the gnocchi (that's a big compliment from her) so compliments to the chef he should get a bonus too what a hero.

Xanthe gave the best service. She made our daughter’s birthday special without any notice or planning. What a wonderful asset she is to the business. Food was also delicious and the view is great.

Love this place… it’s one of my faves, beautiful location and the venue is gorgeous. I had my birthday there this year. The food is delicious yet healthy! Not the easiest thing to achieve. My faves are the Arancini, the barramundi and the Sri Lankan curry. Dying to try breakfast here one time.

Came on a Monday night and we both had the special, it was cooked beautifully and the Diane sauce was superb 👌🏽
Also good friendly service from wait and bar staff.

Great venue for drinks, lunch and live music. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Can get very busy so you'll need to book, and due to its popularity parking can be an issue.

Excellent food great location. It's a welcom change to see great bar staff that are really switched on and know who is next in line and acknowledge that you are waiting!! And actually seem to enjoy their job! Great customer service. Sunday lunch really busy but service still quick and pleasant - great Sunday afternoon vibe!

We stopped for coffee and banana bread. Awesome venue. Very fresh & modern. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Just wow! The oysters are amazing. Great staff too. Fab location. There is plenty to do around and about.

My family and I had Breakfast here this morning. Absolutely delicious, Big breakfast with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, coffee.

Delicious food, staff efficient and the view even better sitting out on the deck. I would recommend this hotel for meals. Best sweet potato fries ever!
